We have had a 2 storey side extension and other extensive improvements on the old part of our house and garden/driveway. James and his team have been exceptional from start to finish. They work incredibly hard, communicate really well and all take great pride in their work, which has meant the results of our project have exceeded our expectations. We have been very impressed (and so have the neighbours) in how swiftly the build has been completed. Nothing has been too much trouble for them and they are always happy to offer support and advice. We couldn’t be happier with our new home and would definitely recommend Hammond Construction to anyone.

There were numerous repairs needed before the house was rendered. All work was done to a very high standard, on schedule and to budget. Works reasonably priced. There was a clear plan of the schedule of works, and James was very accommodating in meeting neighbours demands. Our property was respected and they cleared all their rubbish away (as well as some of ours!) James is a perfectionist and cares about customer satisfaction, communication was prompt. James is honest and reliable. We appreciated him sharing his ideas on how to make the property more spacious and appealing. James and his team are professional and work hard. They are friendly and approachable. Jenny was prompt and efficient about providing invoices and receipts. Her emails were professional and it was a lovely touch that she asked if we were happy with the work. We have lots of indoor work to complete and will be asking Hammond Construction to be doing this for us. We are very lucky in finding this gem.

James and his team built an annexe to our house. Planning was first rate (they started ahead of the scheduled date) and James gave plenty of useful advice for the many decisions that had to be made in such a project. Extras to the agreed quote were itemised and agreed before implementation - one thing we learnt is that it would have been better to have a more detailed specification of work in advance. Every one of the team were tidy, friendly and respectful of neighbours while they were on site. Aftercare is good too - small snagging problems, even more than a year after completion, are fixed quickly with no charge. We have already recommended Hammond Construction to others, with no hesitation.

James and his team have completed a number of projects for me to maintain my home and keep it up to date. These include bathroom refits, replacement patio doors, internal wall removal, power to my potting shed, garage access and a jubilee balcony to my bedroom. All the work has been carried out efficiently and to quote. He has a professional team who just get on with it and I have been happy with everything. Today James popped round just to fit a socket for a replacement fridge freezer. I’m very lucky to have someone I can call locally and reliably to sort out the big and small jobs that I need help with to maintain my home.

Hammond Construction built a single story extension to the rear of our house. They remodelled and fitted a new kitchen, laid new flooring and fitted new windows throughout the house. The work was completed to schedule and on budget. James had very good ideas and suggestions to help refine our initial ideas. He was very honest and upfront about what would be possible and what wouldn’t. There were very good communications and care throughout the project. James and his team were unfailingly professional and helpful throughout the build. We are delighted with the work done and have no hesitation in recommending Hammond Construction.

I used Hammond Construction for an unusual request to support a chimney structure within the loft area. Having called around a large number of builders were unwilling to take this on. To my surprise Hammond Construction was able to do this at a reasonable cost and highly efficiently. All work was signed off and completed.

Following Hammond’s electrical work we asked for advice on our kitchen refit including alterations to the ground floor toilet and utility room to maximise useable area in a small space. Hammond were friendly and provided open and honest ideas and suggestions to maximise the value with our limited budget. James worked hard to meet the specification and budget and we are delighted with the end product. Care and attention to the work with a quality finish from a friendly skilled works team. Excellent communication throughout. Hammond even responded with an emergency leak we had (not part of the works!) without fuss and resolved it that day. Would certainty recommend their work to others. Competent and professional.

Hammond Construction recently completed an extensive ground floor extension on our home, knocking a conservatory and garage to make way for an office, utility and shower room and large open plan kitchen-diner living space. James, Jenny and the whole team were wonderful to work with, keeping us updated fully on everything from the planning stages right through to completion. I phoned Hammond construction last minute to ask for a plug socket to be added to my bedroom mid decorating. I was in the middle of decorating and therefore was on a tight time schedule. At first impressions I could tell Hammond construction were professional and so helpful, answering all my tricky questions and meeting my high demands. Dean Hammond was so accommodating and managed to fit me in ASAP. He knew exactly what I wanted and carried out the work so neatly that it didn’t set the decorating back at all. He explained everything throughly and was happy to answer questions I had relating to other electrical work. He even suggested better options I had not considered, which would be easier and cheaper. I was so impressed with Deans work and he was so friendly, I will definitely be using them again in the future and actually have him booked in to fit a ring doorbell very soon.

James helped us through our build every step of the way. His years of experience meant he gave us so much fantastic advice, pulling apart our plan, chipping in with his own well thought through ideas and what we got from him was so much better than we could have hoped for. He went above and beyond in so many ways for us. His team are superb. Friendly, hardworking and brilliant to be around. Any issues that cropped up were dealt with swiftly and were well managed. Communication was great. It was done on time and on budget. James' materials and fittings are AAA rated and the kitchen has transformed the house. So grateful and so pleased!
