WE HAD A HUGE AMOUNT OF WORK DONE IN OUR LOUNGE AND DINING AREA, A COMPLETE REFURBISHMENT WITH TWO LOAD BEARING PILLARS REMOVED FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM AND REPLACED WITH A HUGE METAL RSJ IN THE CEILING. HAMMOND CONSTRUCTION DID A FABULOUS JOB, MY HUSBAND AND I WERE VERY PLEASED AND WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMEND THEM. THEY WERE ALWAYS PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS, CLEANING AND TIDYING UP AS THEY WENT AND ALSO MAKING HELPFUL SUGGESIONS TO IMPROVE MY DESIGNS WHICH WE USED TO IMPROVE OUR LOUNGE. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

A friend recommended Hammond construction to me when we were thinking about developing the ground floor of our house to provide a large open plan kitchen diner with doors onto a patio overlooking our back garden. We had about five other builders come round and quote us for the work and we were left fairly uninspired by their ideas and prices. When James Hammond came round, he listened intently to what our ideas were and then explored how we live in and use the house currently, and what we want to change. While looking around, he demonstrated that he had a wealth of experience and knowledge in this type of building project and a short time later he visited again with plans and options we hadn't even considered. We eventually chose the option that we most liked and could afford. Work began in September. The Hammond Construction team worked with care and attention and were always respectful of our privacy and space as we were still living in the house whilst the works were being carried out. Each worker clearly knew their trade and were professional and experts in their field. The work ethic was amazing and the house was always left as tidy and secure as possible at the end of the day. It was also obvious that the boss, James, was a perfectionist. He oversaw everything with a nose for detail and if anything was not up to the highest standard, he found it and it was dealt with. My wife and I were kept informed with each step of the project and Jenny Hammond was constantly on the phone to us, dealing with the finances and most importantly, checking on our welfare and satisfaction with the works. Time scales were generally kept to and any problems were identified and dealt with very quickly by the all-seeing and all-knowing James. The job was completed by December and we had the most amazing Christmas in our incredible new kitchen diner with a wonderful patio onto the back garden, a new downstairs bathroom and a fantastic utility room. Our new house has changed the way we live and six months on, there have been absolutely no snags or problems that you would have expected with such major works. I absolutely recommend the Hammond Construction team for an excellent job from start to finish.

Dean Hammond installed security lights on our workshop and music room. He also did the electric sockets, lighting and security lighting on my new art studio.
