When my shower started running cold (while I was in it) I swore and checked out the boiler to find a trickle of water leaking from beneath it. Matt's guy came out the following morning and quickly found a corroded pipe that had leaked over the electrics, shutting everything down. Here's the good bit. He needed to find a supplier who stocked the right circuit board. Off he went and I thought 'that's the last I'll see of him for a week'. Two hours later he was back, with the part, which he fitted with no fuss. Just brilliant.

Matt organized and explained clearly what needs to be done with my boiler Chimney, Fume extension. Happy with the communication and the service.

Matt replaced an oil boiler and radiators with an air source heat pump and new rads. He explained the process very patiently, and was probably one of the cleanest work person we've ever had. Although there was a problem (not of his making), Matt went out of his way to sort it. Very pleased with the result, as the house is considerably warmer. I am certainly happy to recommend Matt's company.

Hartswood heating have just completed a complete replacement of our plumbing/heating system. We got great advice on boiler type, size and cost before. Matt and his team were exceptional. My Halstead boiler had finally failed after nearly 20 years of faithful service, leaving me without hot water or heating during an icy week in January. It turns out that the condensation pipe had been leaking internally for the last six years! So as I am not well versed in the modern world of boilers, I turned to the internet. I found the Boiler Guide (Boiler Hunt) website, which in turn was able to put me in contact with three local heating installers after having first tried to interest me in nationwide boiler installers. I quickly rejected the nationwide installer option and opted for three local installers. The first candidate was very inexperienced and so quickly rejected. The third candidate was County Plumbers Ltd of Brighton, who came armed with the latest trade magazine and, in less than 10 minutes, outlined what I required whilst showing me the trade prices as they went along. They were brilliant, but they had responded so late to the request put out on Boiler Guide that I had already 90% agreed to use Hartswood Heating LTD by that time. The prices on the two quotations were roughly the same! In the end, I chose the second candidate who was Hartswood Heating LTD. Sean was on-site for three days in all. Sean spent the first day changing the pipework to fit the new Vaillant Ecofit Pure 35KW combi boiler with a 10yr guarantee. Second day on set up and testing. Third day on some other plumbing jobs around my house.

Replaced central heating pump after diagnosing this was the fault. Worked late despite family commitments. Further diagnosed faulty timer and another team member attended to replace this when the part was available. They also advised on a problem with a pressure release valve in the loft and attended subsequently to replace this. All done cheerfully and politely, communicating well with consideration to household.

The team have done several plumbing jobs for us. Each and every time they are professional, friendly and efficient. We can't recommend them enough!

I contacted Hartswood Heating owing to a leaky boiler, I received a quick reply offering to help and subsequent site visit. The engineer was quick to find the fault, repair and also perform proactive steps as part of the call out. Very pleased with the tidy work and at very reasonable rates.

We used Hartswood Heating to renew our old 18 year boiler for a Vaillant eco boiler and move the flue in the loft as no longer conforms to new regulations all the work was done in a day Sam and the roof part by Matt very efficient very clean a great job and explained how the new timer and the controls on the boiler would definitely recommend and use them again. Our central heating boiler failed and needed replacing. We contacted several recommended heating engineers and right from the first telephone conversation we found Matt to be most helpful. We were pleased that Hartswood Heating could install a replacement within a week and at a reasonable and competitive price. Matt and Sam did a great job, working non-stop to complete the installation within the day. They were well-prepared, careful in their work and pleasant to have in the house. We will definitely use them again.

Matthew was very good to work with. We moved into a house with a unconventional heating system, with a heat exchange where we were not sure what function it had. Matthew went out of his way to contact the manufacture and understand what the best approach would be to make the most of this system. He also installed a Google Nest and spent time talking to us about what we wanted from this and how to get the most from it. Matthew provided a well set out and detailed quote. It was accurate to the final bill. I also had a couple of quotes for the job and Matthew was reasonably priced and transparent. Will definitely use him again!

Arrived on time, completed the work very efficiently. Replaced the water tank - the water is much hotter now. Cleaned up afterwards.

Matt was very helpful and even showed me how to top up our boiler. The whole process was smooth, booked my appointment online and Matt arrived in the scheduled window. Matthew was such a great help, very reliable and did a great job. Removing the existing oil heating system was a big move for us and Matthew gave us careful and considered advice and then carried out the job promptly. He came out again to advise on an old water pipe and helped us to consider our options. I would recommend Hartswood Heating highly.

Matthew replaced my boiler and put in an unvented hot water cylinder. He was professional, pleasant, efficient and explained things clearly. There were some issues like a part not working, unexpected leaks, but as Matthew dealt with them efficiently and promptly they weren’t really issues. I am delighted with the new boiler and the unvented system which has resulted in a warmer house with better water pressure throughout. Communication was great and I was kept well informed. When the invoice came there was a discount due to some unused parts. Matt’s honesty is so refreshing in this day and age. I will not hesitate to recommend Hartswood Heating.

Third time using Hartswood Heating. It was a little tricky to get hold of Matt where he was really busy, but once I did he committed to a date and one of his guys, Ryan, arrived in time. He fixed the issue with our fluctuating water temperature, was polite and professional. An hour after he left we realised the heating wasn’t working, I called Matt and he came personally to sort the issue (which took only a few minutes where some taps had been left off) so I was happy he resolved the small mishap. Had to call them back a third time as we then noticed a leak, and they replaced a washer. Matt recognised the extra visits with a small discount off the invoice, which was appreciated and really good service. I will continue to use Matt’s company for future plumbing needs.
