Contacted Headway over Christmas about having 2 new doors fitted. Taylor visited us for home consultation and was very friendly and professional and did not try to upsell. He came round at a time that suited us to consult and then process paperwork and collect the deposit too. The fitting was booked in quickly and the whole process took just over 1 month. Doors look great and fitted well, completed in a few hours and went over how to use the doors with me before he left. Great friendly and professional service, lots of choice, advice given, and good price overall, would recommend to anyone! :)

Started 8/2/2023 many visits later kind of finished 6/4/2023, but only because I was worn down and couldn't take anymore, not because I was satisfied. I had 6 units installed and 4 had to be changed over the coming weeks. They had damage to them and not production blemishes as Headway call them. One was changed for a unit, with blue felt tip pen on the "inside" of the unit. Production "blemish". How? All summer I could not "let the light in" as it was so annoying. They seem to have film smear over the insides which I can not get rid of. I'm still finding scratches and I wonder if it's the film that covers them. Recently I've noticed one that has dust particles inside the unit. Also which I do find amusing is a hand print mark that appears on the outside of the bathroom. At first, I thought it was me in the cleaning. But no as it rains the rain pools on the window but makes a different pooling in a hand shape. I've again tried to clean it thinking it's an oil mark. My heating stays on more, so are they the energy efficient that I paid for? I've sealed trickle vents so that's not the reason. The fitter did not treat the product as if one might think if it is indeed a high-quality product. This was the last £5500 that my late husband had left me so it's quite raw. The glass they took out was in better shape bar the uvpc. I have all the photos for evidence and the hand print!

Excellent door as had Solidor fitted at my previous address. The fitter took his time to carefully remove the existing door, creating no damage to the surrounding walls. The installation is perfect. The door and frame are perfect. No large seams of mastic and tidied off in the interior with some trim. The door is a dream to open and close unlike our previous door that shrank or swelled depending on the weather. Well worth the expense.

We were advised at an early stage of extended lead times due to adverse weather and the revised timetable was adhered to. Headway used a combination of their own staff and sub-contractors. All the work from the removal of the existing conservatory to the laying of a new base and the erection of the new building were carried out professionally. All those working were friendly and diligent. The damage to our existing patio whilst putting in a new base (inevitable) was replaced to a standard better than the original (to the extent I asked them to replace the rest of the patio!). The whole exercise covering 6 weeks was well planned and what was refreshing was that all the different trades talked to each other and Headway ensured we knew exactly when various people were going to be on site. The site was always left tidy at the end of the day. We are very happy with what is an excellent product and I would strongly recommend Headway as a professional and reliable company that supply a quality product at competitive prices.

We needed to replace a draughty wooden single-glazed front door and side panels with modern composite materials to improve insulation and also replace a first-floor window only accessible from the outside and therefore not a straightforward job. All of the work was completed in just over a month from the date of the order and to a high standard at a reasonable cost. We had four windows and a door fitted. The initial visit for a quote was pleasant and mostly non-pressuring. The price, as far as we can judge, was competitive and the materials later supplied are of good quality. The surveyor's visit was also efficient and quickly followed our confirmation of the work. The installation happened more quickly after order confirman]tion than expected and was carried out in a trouble-free, professional and skilled manner. Extras, such as the need to remove and replace old catflap and install a new one, were carried out as we wished. The new windows were made to match our already-installed windows in style and appearance. As far as we can judge one day after the installation, everything looks good and has improved the insulation in the house. Everyone involved from Headway have been polite, friendly, efficient, left everything clean.

We recently had 2 UPVC doors and 2 windows replaced by Headway. From start to finish their customer service and work was excellent. Vicky came around to do the initial quote, explained their way of working, showed us the full range of options on windows and doors and the security profiles. She also talked us through their guarantees. Fensa, etc. All very thorough. Then on installation day a young chap called Scott appeared right on the dot at 8.30am and started work. He was incredibly organised, tidy and hardworking. Nothing was too much trouble and the final results speak for themselves. Scott and everyone at Headway were brilliant. We will be recommending them to all our friends and family. Great company, great product, great customer service.

Headway were able to supply and fit a non-standard size external door. No glass was required in the door and a shiplap finish was agreed as the door provides access to under house storage. The time from ordering to installation was around 5 weeks with Christmas and New Year in that period. Chris the installer was courteous and professional.

We required two replacements windows and contacted several local companies, Only four of these were willing to give a quote over the phone. Headway had one of the best quotes so we asked them to come out and confirm. They came to see us and explained very clearly what we would get and the price all with no pressure. We ordered and the turn round was very quick. The fitter arrived as arranged and fitted with no fuss and no mess he even sorted out a problem with our front door while he was here. Would recommend every time.

We chose a low threshold, inward-opening set of French doors due to safety concerns in order to reduce trip hazards and the threat of wind gusts. In full knowledge of the westerly-facing elevation of the site, Headway at no time suggested this particular product was unsuitable and would perform badly. If they claim otherwise, they are merely trying to pass the responsibility onto us. Multiple, unsuccessful visits have been undertaken by Headway to rectify this unfit product. An attempt at draining accumulated water from the threshold frame—drilling a few holes in the linear sump—was never checked for effectiveness. Measures such as the addition of an effective drip bar have not been attempted. Headway Doors and Windows have never responded to my formal letter of complaint. During recent episodes of rain and wind, water continues to enter. This company is fine if the job goes well. However, if issues arise that are difficult to remedy, they become invisible, leaving these problems unresolved. Do not employ this contractor.

This company agreed to build our bespoke conservatory. There was constant communication from start to finish, even when there was a long delay between the building of the foundation to the erecting of the UPVC double glazing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The work done was very professional and we had chosen the company as a result of numerous works seen through friends and family. During the delay we kept in contact with the company who advised us as to the state of play in relation to the delay. The workmen were very polite and completed their work satisfactorily.

We had arranged to have new bi-fold doors and a new kitchen window fitted before the Covid lock-down was imposed, but the work was done as soon as the lock-down was modified. We had actually used Headway a couple of years before, when we had three sets of new windows installed in the house that we had just bought (they were recommended by the previous owners). Anyway, on both occasions we were very well advised by Headway, the standard of the work and the quality of the materials were excellent, the service very friendly and the price very reasonable. When a particularly high wind discovered a very small gap in one of the window frames, Headway fixed it immediately. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I would have endorsed all the favourable comments here before this experience. In December 2018 at our request an Headway engineer came to inspect a window problem on one of the bungalows but said that it was out of guarantee.This was accepted in good faith until I later checked the Guarantee which I found was for all work until April 2019. In e-mail correspondence with Headway, always polite, variously - the visit was denied; the engineer never said what he did; the records were destroyed; the complaint was outside the Guarantee period; and we could pay for the work to be done or secure another contractor.Endeavours to involve senior management by letter were rejected or (recorded delivery ) ignored. Copies of all the correspondence are available for scrutiny. Trading Standards say that Guarantees beyond 6 years are worth only what the company is prepared to do. So the lesson from this case is - sadly - that Headway cannot be relied upon. It is on this basis alone that I rate the Company below.

We visited Headway’s showroom where Ron showed us various types of window and explained their construction. We were so impressed that we booked an appointment with Daniel at our home to discuss our requirements. Daniel gave us excellent advice as to which windows would best suit our needs and showed us computerised diagrams. We subsequently ordered new windows for the front of our house. Our windows have now been fitted by Chris who worked non-stop over 2 days. He was very polite, hardworking and friendly, a credit to the company.
