We are a Gas Safe™ Registered company based in Chorleywood Hertfordshire providing domestic heating and plumbing services to clients throughout Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, Amersham, the Chalfont’s and surrounding local areas in Herts, Middlesex and Bucks.

We have used Mark on a number of occasions over the last six years including to install a new boiler and new Megaflow and to extend our central heating to areas of our house not previously heated. He has also done much smaller jobs, including, on this occasion, fixing a leak that had started from our shower valve. On each occasion he has spent time analysing the situation, clearly explained his proposed solution and then implemented it very professionally. I doubt he is the cheapest plumber covering Chorleywood, but I'm pretty sure he's the best.

For the first time that I can remember I feel confident that our gas heating system has been installed as it should be. Mark provided good advice from the outset and I had a gut reaction he was the person for the job. I was happy to accept his quote although it was not the cheapest one. My instinct proved to be fully justified. You get a service and a quality of work that is way better than I have experienced from others doing similar work and certainly well worth the small premium paid. He gets the detail right. When a major problem was found with our supply, he dealt with it immediately and at a fair cost. He and his team were a pleasure to have in the house and I could trust them to be alone in the house too. I have now transferred my maintenance contracts to him as well. I can whole heartedly recommend him. Thank you from all the family.

It was a pleasure meeting Mark and his team, they diagnosed the problem and fixed any old boiler. since then they have fitted a new boiler, we are extremely happy with the way in which they executed the fittings and explained how to operate the new boiler, very skilled and excellent plumbing service. I have used Heat Tech on a number of of occasions over the past year. This has included replacing a booster pump, changing a broken toilet flush valve and inlet valve and boiler service. Mark has also cured various longstanding problems with pipes and valves. He is always prepared to investigate the problem thoroughly rather than just curing the symptoms, and to explain what he is doing.

Our central heating had stopped working. We called Mark and after answering a few questions he said he would come round that afternoon and bring with him the parts he felt would be needed. He arrived promptly and after investigation replaced our timer control which resolved the problem. Mark was polite, knowledgeable and we would not hesitate to call him again if we had a boiler or plumbing problem

James and George had the dubious pleasure of fitting a new toilet pan and bath mixer tap to ancient plumbing (lead pipes) as well as removing some redundant pipework and replacing the monoblock tap in the kitchen. They were polite, friendly, did a great job and were scrupulous in cleaning up and disposing of waste. I'll certainly be using Heat-Tech again when I next need any plumbing or heating work.

Very professional service from Heat Tech engineers, the boiler needed a service and I also had a new thermostat installed. James talked me through everything he found and patiently showed me how to set the new thermostat. Mark returned a few days later with some additional parts which needed to be replaced. All work was carried out well and I am very pleased with the service received. I will definitely be using Heat Tech again.

Heat Tech has been servicing our boiler for more than 6 years as well as carrying out small plumbing repairs in the house and we've been very happy with the service and wouldn't consider using anyone else. Mark returns phone calls and answers email promptly and in an emergency, I'm always confident his team will do their best to sort out the problem. The guys won't bamboozle you with jargon either! Heat Tech carried out a thorough service to our boiler, having seen inside it had obviously not been carried properly for many years. Marks engineers arrived on time as promised and spent a long time stripping the boiler down and cleaning all the major elements. They respected the location of the boiler which in the en-suite bathroom off our bedroom and left everything clean and tidy. Very happy with Heat Tech and will defiantly call them in next year. Just before Christmas a valve next to our boiler sprang a leak and a black liquid was oozing out. We had to turn the heating off. Heat Tech was recommended and as soon as I rang Mark Ockenden he asked for details of the problem, including size of the pipe and how much access there was near the valve. He asked me to send him a photo of the valve via Whatsapp, which I did. This info allowed him to bring the correct replacement and equipment and the work was done very efficiently by freezing the pipe above and below the valve before replacing it, thus avoiding having to drain down the whole system. Impressive! Mark and his assistant arrived at the agreed time and kept me informed when they would return after the pipe was frozen. They were polite and courteous and left everything clean and tidy.
