We are a Gas Safe™ Registered company based in Chorleywood Hertfordshire providing domestic heating and plumbing services to clients throughout Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, Amersham, the Chalfont’s and surrounding local areas in Herts, Middlesex and Bucks.
Established in 2003 we have built up a reputation for providing a
first class service at a reasonable price to our many local customers.

Following an attempted home repair that failed and water could not be turned back on, a call to Mark at Heat tech in the late evening proved the best decision of the evening! Mark was calm, helpful and immediately reassuring. He came out within 30 minutes of our call for help. All was restored and the water back on, we could not fault any part of the service and professional help he gave. A great service indeed.

I had a problem with a leak from my boiler. I called Heat Tech at 5:30pm and spoke with Mark who was extremely helpful and arranged for Francesco to visit the house first thing the following morning. Francesco was amazing, he was very polite and studious and I would fully recommend Heat Tech based on my experience.

My elderly parents had an issue with their upstairs toilet which was preventing them from being able to use it. I got Heat Techs telephone number from a recommendation on the Nextdoor App. And am so pleased I did. I spoke to Mark and he spoke to my mother within an hour, obtained the information he needed and was able to give a very reasonable quote very quickly. They had some very professional, polite chaps over on the same day and my mum was very pleased with the work they did and was able to use the toilet on the same day. I can't speak highly enough of the service I received from beginning to end. Top class! I would definitely recommend.

I had a problem with an overflow pipe in the loft and also a radiator that wasn’t working. Heat Tech arrived on time the next day and solved both issues and also answered questions about the heating system which was really helpful.

My boiler failed early one morning, just before Christmas and I rang Heat Tech and got immediate help which solved the problem temporarily and then it was followed up by someone coming to the house and fixing it. It was a very good service

Leak by hot water cylinder

Having seen wet floorboards by the hot water cylinder, a phone call to Heat Tech led to a quick visit in order to identify the problem. Fortunately a new hot water cylinder was not required but a sticky heating valve controller and some reconfigured pipework was needed to resolve the issue. As it was just before Christmas and a complete shut down until the New Year, we were delighted with the quick service and the problem was sorted. We switched to Heat Tech in mid-December 2021 as British Gas Home Care were completely unable to sort out a problem in a timely fashion and expected us to wait until after the New Year without central heating for an engineer to call.

Water Leak - amazing Advice followed by a prompt repair & excellent aftercare

We had a mains water leak which had obviously been going on for some time with water saturating an internal, but load bearing wall. I had no hesitation calling 'Heat Tech Services' as I knew I would receive an excellent and prompt solution at a fair price. As it was the weekend and Mark was busy, he could not actually get to us until the following week. He was incredibly helpful, giving the best temporary solution, including what we could do ourselves to save time and money before they could come to fix the pipe. The pipe was excellently and quickly fixed by the end of Monday. The site was left clean and clear of debris. I felt like a very stressful situation was calmly, expertly and promptly sorted without causing a financial headache. I had a query regards moisture on the pipe after the job was completed and Mark thoroughly explained the possible reasons and asked me to call back if I was still concerned. The workers mended the pipe perfectly and saved us a lot of hassle over a very busy Christmas period. Thank you. I cannot recommend Mark and his team highly enough.

Heat Tech engineer George came the day after I called, to replace our water pump and check the boiler because the heating was not working properly. He was excellent and a credit to Heat Tech. I had never used the company before but had been recommended. They are just excellent and very helpful and accommodating and reasonably priced. I have no hesitation in recommending them and would certainly use them again.

Always helpful and responsive
I've previously engaged Heat Tech for some repairs at my home and was happy to go back to them with a recent query. Mark was really helpful over the phone and managed to solve the issue without the need for a call out and so without any cost. I've recommended Mark and Heat Tech to friends and I know they've been happy too.

From our initial contact with Mark, right through to completion, Mark kept us informed each step of the way. If the software allowed, we'd give him more than five stars. We are indebted to Mark and his team member for coming to our rescue and putting an end to lukewarm showers in the gym/local swimming pool, in winter. Tracing and rectifying leak

We noticed a small leak coming through the downstairs ceiling. It proved very difficult to find but once it was located the exact cause was established. The remedy involved installing a new shower which Heat Tech did most efficiently. A big job for a small leak but one which had to be done. I'm pleased with the new shower. All in all a very satisfied customer. I would have no hesitation in using Heat Tech again and would definitely recommend their services.

The engineer arrived on time and was friendly He carried out the service on my boiler in a confident manner and was tidy and efficient. He also helped set my timer which I was having problems with. He suggested it was faulty. When I asked him if Heat Tech could fit a replacement he said yes and suggested I contact Mark Ockendon. I was extremely happy with the service.

I called Mark to get my hob commissioned after my kitchen fitters fitted the kitchen, he came round very promptly, spent half an hour making sure my gas supply was ok but more importantly made sure I was strong enough to turn the gas off if the need arose.

Mark and team are brilliant. We found we were losing pressure on our boiler, and then during other works discovered a leak under the landing floor. Mark came quickly, replaced poor work by a previous plumber and replaced with proper copper pipes. With my elderly mum in the house getting this sorted was vital and Mark came up trumps. We also requested our annual heating service and had an appointment within days. Prices are very fair and Mark runs his business in a very professional way.

The work was the replacement of an old and faulty Ch wall thermostat. The original engineer - Sapphire - was ill and unable to attend but her replacements actually arrived before the original appointment time and completed the installation efficiently and courteously. Moreover, they provided a clear, patient and thorough explanation of the workings of the new,' smart', thermostat. A very good, professional job.

Had issues with my radiators. Mark was very helpful initially, advising on what are the options to resolve and proposing course of action over multiple steps. Team completed the initial job, but this did not resolve the issue. Tried to speak to Mark a number of times after this - he was difficult to get hold of, refused provide a quote for the next step and preferred to say this is the cost per hour. Said he would call back but did not multiple times. Overall initial service was good, but not impressed with the follow-up and issue still not resolved

I cannot recommend Mark and his team highly enough. They have recently fitted a new hot water cylinder for me which was completed efficiently and provided excellent service. This week I had a water leakage in my kitchen which I noticed in the evening. I messaged Mark and he replied later that evening asking for photographs and details. He then agreed to come out first thing the next morning and within a couple of hours had replaced the pipes and fixed the problem. I couldn't be more grateful to Heat Tech.
