We needed a new boiler in our garage to replace an old boiler in our utility room. Of the traders who came out to quote, Dan Heelas was the most through. He suggested replacing the central heating pump and two valves, all 20 years old and after some research, I accepted this as good advice and our whole system is now much quieter. The standard of work carried out was very good. It took slightly longer than expected due to a couple of complications but the quote price was honoured. Installer was very helpful and friendly. Unlike other installers, did not try and charge for a power flush as the chemical flush was adequate. No hesitation in recommending to others.

We were having problems with leaky whirlpool bath fittings, and a number of other minor plumbing woes. I tried a self fix and failed, and had problems with the stop cock (nightmare!). Dan came out promptly, fixed the immediate stuff, and assessed the other items. Then as a follow up his colleague Richard came, was already well briefed, and fixed the remainder, and serviced the boiler by request too. Great service, great communicators, highly recommend!

We are delighted with the boiler replacement and installation of a new radiator that Heelas completed for us. They were very thorough in their initial visit to ensure they really understood everything that needed doing. They were not the cheapest quote, but we had complete confidence that there would be no nasty surprises. They spotted several compliance issues that other companies did not mention, made clear what was optional but advisable as improvements, and they also explained why some expensive procedures and products other companies had suggested were not necessary or even desirable. So we feel confident that the final price paid was probably as good or better than what we would have ended up paying for apparently cheaper companies. As our old boiler had completely failed, Heelas slotted the work in very quickly. The engineer on site was very professional, helpful, tidy and clean, and he took the time to explain how everything worked and make sure the system was running well and to our satisfaction before leaving. I would recommend Heelas without hesitation and will certainly go back to them for any further heating or plumbing work we need.

We decided to replace our old boiler before the net-zero omnishambles takes hold and, as Heelas had been servicing our existing heating system for 14 years, we asked for a quote. Dan Heelas himself did the survey and made the recommendations. The price was acceptable and included a Bosch condensing boiler, new pump, magnetic junk collector and wireless hall thermostat. Fitting, rewiring, etc took two days most of which was spent trying to get the old flue out of an eighteen-inch thick solid stone wall. As it is summer the central heating has not really kicked in yet but the hot water heats up in just a couple of minutes after morning showers although that is backed up by solar hot water roof panels. The work was professionally carried out by the guys, tidily, cleaning up each day and leaving everything spick and span. I cannot highly enough recommend Heelas Heating and Renewables. A real no-brainer if you are considering a replacement heating system.

From first contact to closure of the work, they have always been precise, polite and professional. Quick quote all included with no surprises. The work was clean and precise, adapting where needed to the situation in an excellent way. The installers were extremely friendly and nice. Obviously competent and flexible. The result was fantastic and had minimum impact to the house and environment and then they took care of all documentation and warranties. They reassured me about the yearly service. The quick review is that the quality and trust is extremely high and though the price is not the cheapest I won’t use anyone else. I first used Heelas to replace a dead boiler. What stood out was that boiler their recommendation was considered and highly appropriate to my needs. Others were quoting boilers that were overkill and not warning me of the gas usage implication of that. Their solution has absolutely been the right one with not a single down day 2.5 years. We did have some installation teething problems but they got sorted with no fuss. The way they handled it made me feel values as a customer despite that I was querying cosmetic elements of the installation (I can be fussy). I have since used them to service family boilers and rental boilers. Always efficient and friendly. Most recently they have resolved issues on 2 boilers (not installed by them) that had been causing me much frustration. One was as part of a normal service and was spotted by the engineer without me even prompting them. And the other was a recommendation of an electrician that they used on boilers who solved a problem that another electrician, and even Worcester Bosch couldn’t find on 2 visits. Can’t tell you how much I appreciated that as it helped my elderly father when he had no hot water or heating. Working with many tradespeople, these are amongst the best I have used in 20 years.

My solar installation had stopped working only 18 months after another company had charged me £2500 for fixing it. Dan Heelas came and within two hours had identified the problem -the wrong kind of pressure valve had been installed- and had replaced it with the correct valve and got the system working. He and his apprentice were courteous and efficient. They were encouraging but realistic about what they could do and took great care to avoid any mess or nuisance. When they left I said they had definitely confirmed their 5-star rating.

We had our old boilers replaced with new Worcester-Bosch boilers. Because we have two boilers, Heelas fitted a low loss header which we we did not have previously and this makes the system much more efficient. They also connected the under floor heating correctly when previously it had not had its own separate pump. All in all a much improved system and we are very please with the work.

We had a new HW cylinder installed in January 2019. On June 21st we found water on the floor of the airing cupboard and wetting the hall carpet. Contacted Heelas and Dan visited us first thing the following morning. They had a replacement in and fitted satisfactorily on June 25th, the delay being occasioned by the non-availability of the correct replacement cylinder. Their engineer was very professional and completed the work with minimum disruption to us within 2 and half hours. Heelas have done lots of work for us and we highly recommend them.

Dan fitted a heating and cooling unit in a home office for us and we are really pleased with it. Works a treat and the whole process went smoothly, nothing was too much trouble and Dan was friendly, trustworthy and seemed very knowledgeable. Heelas Heating and Renewables have been looking after our boilers (house and pool) and our supplemental solar heating systems (house and pool) for a number of years. We have been very impressed by the friendly, efficient and thoughtful service provided by Heelas Heating in all areas. Latest work, that was largely completed today (9/12/21), was the upgrading of our house gas boiler and associated fittings and fitments.

Heelas fitted our new boiler in June this year, this was postponed from April due to Covid. We are very happy with the boiler and the installation was carried out efficiently and neatly. We have used Heelas over the years for various heating issues, including underfloor heating, their team are always punctual, polite and respectful of your home. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Heelas installed our boiler 9 yrs ago. Since that time we have had the best of service support from them. It may not always need a call-out. Sometimes a text or call will fix the issue, but Dan and his team have proved exceptionally helpful with even the most trivial or critical of issues. We tried moving to the manufacturer of our boiler for service but came straight back to Heelas within a few months because they have been reliable and professional at every turn. The alternative was not by any means. If you want a local professional who will take care of things for you and not let you down ….this is the company to go for.

Heelas have already installed 2 x Worcester bosch gas boilers here and visit annually to service them. This 3rd boiler has been to replace an ageing boiler in an extension. As in the past the work was completed professionally and on schedule. There were no issues and the excellent team were most courteous and kept me up to date on progress and always asked my preference on points of detail. I have no hesitation in recommending Dan Heelas' company.

Prompt with the initial survey and very competitive quotation and on time for the installation on the day. The gas engineers who came to fix it worked well throughout the day altering the necessary pipe work and installing a new boiler and left a very tidy job and fully functioning central heating at the end of the day . They were well aware of their responsibilities regarding social distancing in these difficult times but this did not hamper their work nor cause any other difficulties in the rest of the household nor compromise them explaining the important operations to me such as how to keep an eye on the boiler pressures and refill if necessary, and on the timer functions and operations. Overall, a fully professional approach by all and I would thoroughly recommend this firm to others.

Our village hall boiler failed and I called Dan from Heelas Heating and Renewables for help. Dan arrived promptly and we discussed the options, it was decided to replace the boiler and associated parts, (flue exhaust, expansion tank etc.) Dan supplied a quotation within 24hrs which was accepted and the work was completed within a week. Dan surveyed the whole of the heating system after commissioning the boiler and carried out tweaks to balance the system and improve the efficiency of the radiators. A very friendly professional company.

I would not hesitate to recommend Heelas Plumbing Services, the team were very professional, dedicated and considerate in their work ethics. They did an excellent job and I was impressed with all communication and explanations as to how the boiler was to be installed. Even checked that i was happy with areas in my kitchen that needed holes drilled to accommodate pipes etc. So there were no shock factors when i returned home. They were very efficient in cleaning up after themselves and everything was nice and tidy. In fact from the day I had the estimate done till the day the job was completed all correspondence was prompt and extremely satisfactory.

My Worcester combi oil boiler was constantly losing pressure following the recommendation of a neighbour I called Heelas who came out within a day or so to take a look and diagnose the issue, thankfully after ten to fifteen minutes of investigative work, they were able to fix the issue on the spot and the boiler has been working perfectly ever since (his visit was now one month ago). Very knowledgeable and very pleased with the service.

Heelas came to replace The Boiler. They dismantled and disposed of the existing boiler, cleanly and efficiently. They then installed, tested and delivered a working boiler. It was achieved to schedule and budget, we were delighted about this. Heelas stood out because of their efficiency, cleanliness and obvious knowledge. They kept us up to date of progress and even when there was a small hitch was able to reassure that everything would be fine, which it was.
