We have been thinking about having solar panels and batteries installed on our property. After contacting Duracell, Steve Cameron from HelpinUSolar called us and arranged a site visit. When he visited our home, he looked at the location, considered the options and offered a couple of solutions. We decided to go for a battery only solution using overnight reduced rate electricity from Octopus Energy. Helpinusolar installed 20kws of batteries and an inverter on the date agreed in a very professional manner. All the work is very neat and the cables from our garage to the house are minimal and careful installed. The batteries and inverter look good and appear very robust. HelpinUsolar have help set the system up and have monitored the installation. We are very pleased with the work and our choice of installer. We would definitely recommend HelpinUsolar to anybody thinking about a Solar or Battery installation. Everybody we dealt with were friendly and very helpful.

HelpinU Solar installed 14 panels and a battery in mid-June 2024 - just in time for the longest day! Steve's attention and level of service right through from answering our many pre-sales questions to installation and settling in was second to none. They installed a Duracell-badged inverter and battery, and I think Duracell are reasonably new to the solar business. The inverter software underwent quite frequent updates in the early days, and its behaviour was not always as expected. However, HelpinU were "on it" and continued to assist until we were satisfied. The system is now stable and we are very pleased with the outcome. One word to the unwary: we now enjoy some income from an Octopus export tariff. However we didn't discover until after the panels were installed that a smart meter is required for this, so we had to wait a while for a meter installation before payments could commence!

Set of solar panels, batteries, controller and car charger were installed. Steve was extremely helpful with advice and planning. Quotes arrived very quickly and schedules decided. It was all carried out to he agreed schedule, including scaffolding. Installation was very quick. We had a particular issue as our daughter is on the autism spectrum, and we needed the minimum of disruption for her. Steve and the team were excellent in fitting in with us. After care has been very good, although the system has just worked with no problems. It's very reassuring to know Steve and the team keep an eye on it remotely and can anticipate problems. Highly recommended.

From enquiry a site visit was arranged. Steve listened to my requirements and recommeded a solar and battery setup. Had some questions re the battery suggested and after another discussion Steve did some more research and suggested a battery supplied by a UK company. Installation date was set and scaffold and installers all arrived when planned. John the installer checked where the battery was going and suggested I moved some storage racking from the wall. The whole thing was completed in two days in which I had phone calls from Steve to check I was happy with installation, the guys had been sending him photos as they completed the work. John and his team even refitted the storage racking saving me a job. Worth the tea and coffee alone. After completion had a further phone call fron Steve to check I was happy, great service guys. Well done.

Design and specification of PV system in accordance with the Small Scale Embedded Energy (SSEG) engineering recommendation; G83/2 (2013) and Photovoltaics; in Buildings - Guide to the Installation of PV Systems 2012 + MIS - 3002; Provision of suitable scaffolding / access equipment where required; Mechanical and electrical connection of PV array; Installation of Inverter and DC ancillaries; Installation of DC cabling between array and inverter; Installation of AC cabling from the existing consumer unit or installation of a sub-main consumer unit to inverter location; Installation of AC isolator at inverter and connection to AC mains; Programming inverter; Testing and commissioning of system; Liaison with Distribution Network Operator; Part P notification All the work was carried out hassle free and on time, I was able to work from home without interruption and didn't need to take any time off work. The installers knew exactly what they were doing and explained everything to the level that I needed once the installation was complete. I've had the system running for two months with no issues.

Helpinusolar installed a solar PV system, with battery, at my home. The installation was done well and tidily, with minimal disruption. They installed the system at relatively short notice when there was an opportunity to do so at reduced cost because other work was being done on the house meaning that there was already scaffolding in place.

The initial salesman was knowledgeable and gave me all the information. He was helpful with post visit questions. The fitted the panels very quickly and despite Storm Henk managed to get the 11 panels fitted in a day. All works perfectly and the app is easy to understand how much energy is being generated, and used, stored in the battery or sent to the grid. I have yet to receive my first bill but am hoping it is quite a lot cheaper!
