There aren't enough adjectives to describe this amazing roofing company. Apart from the superb workmanship, which far exceeded our expectations, their work ethic is something you don't expect these days, particularly the efficient way they cleaned up after each day. Ben's expertise ensured we went for the right product; he even went out of his way to source a better-priced slate, resulting in a price reduction to ensure we were on budget. Attention to detail made the final result worth waiting for. Ben's brilliant team added an unexpected creative flourish to a mundane piece of lead flashing surrounding the chimney, which we just loved. One of the highlights (and there were many) was getting up close to the roof to inspect it before and after completion. There have been many positive comments from neighbours and passers-by. The finished product is just stunning, Our Victorian house has never looked better with its new roof, facias and finials, and will probably look just as good in decades to come.

My house had a tiled roof, 125 years old, with a leak that needed scaffolding access to investigate and remedy. I found Herkomer Roofing via Which? Trusted Traders and was impressed by the reviews. They are based very close by. Ben came and discussed the leak but, given the age and condition of the roof, I asked about a new roof and the potential benefits of improved insulation. He quoted for the two options, and I decided to re-roof. He quoted separately for thermal insulation, new gutters and downpipes, which could be done from the scaffold. I was not under any pressure to choose re-roofing or undertaking these additional works. Ben and his team worked continuously and completed all the work over 3 weeks. They were a pleasure to have on site, very tidy and skilled. The finished roof looks perfect and has an insurance-backed warranty. I must also mention his partner in the office, Katie, who reliably issues the paperwork and responds to messages perfectly. I did not obtain competitive quotes but from general enquiries, I believe that I had value for money. There were no variations from the quotes and I recommend Herkomer Roofing Services.

Herkomer Roofing did work to our chimney, including installing lead flashing, and also installed a new flat roof on an outbuilding. We were very happy with the quality of the work done to both, addressing long-standing leaks completely (and it's been a few months since the work was done, so I can confirm the roof and chimney stood up entirely to several months of winter rains after this), and also with the tidying up of the site afterwards. They addressed all issues they found with the chimney once up there. Unlike another quote we had, they did not require scaffolding, meaning the quote was competitive, despite the high quality of the work and the expertise Ben and the company bring. Katie was pleasant and helpful to deal with. The only downside is that Herkomer Roofing are very much in demand locally because the quality of their work is known. This meant we had to wait to get the work done. But it was worth waiting for! Would recommend and use again.

I recently noticed a water leak coming from our garage roof and on inspection I realised the roof felt and flashing was in a bad state of repair and desperately needed replacing. I contacted Herkomer roofing services and within a day or so Ben arrived to have a look. He told me what work would need to be done and due to the weather conditions and other work commitments he would not be able to fit us in for several weeks. I received a proper written quote from Ben the next day via email setting out the work needed to be done and the price which we were happy with. After about three weeks they contacted us to say they had prioritised us and due to a break in the weather could come and sort us out in the next few days. There was a team of three that worked very hard and they managed to complete the work within two days. Ben invited me up on the roof to show me what they had done. After a good inspection I was very pleased to say they had done a cracking job replacing the felt, lead flashing, guttering and fascias etc and I was very happy. An excellent job. Throughout, they looked and behaved in a professional manor and were very respectful. Before they left, they made sure the site was left clean and tidy. I could not fault the service they provided and would highly recommend them.

Herkomer Roofing replaced the facia boards and guttering on my house and I could not be happier with the results. They have made my house look great, I can’t believe the difference it has made. Herkomer Roofing provided by far the best quote for the work we wanted – full roof tile replacement, new guttering and loft insulation – and then more than delivered in terms of quality of workmanship and service. Ben has done roof work for me previously. My 100-year-old roof needed complete replacement this time. I recently had the facia boards and guttering replaced at the front of my house. The quote given was fair and I was very very happy with the completed job. My neighbours comment how nice the front of the house looks. Ben did a great job, everything was left clean and tidy afterwards and all rubbish was removed. All phone calls and emails were dealt with promptly. Highly recommend!
