Herkomer Roofing and building services is a local family business. With over 15 years roofing experience, we pride ourselves on completing any roofing or building requirement to a high standard.
We are fully insured and a member of the Confederation of Roofing Contactors.
We work closely in the local community but also work further afield. We are expanding all the time but customers can be sure they will receive personal service.

Ben promptly came round in Oct 22 and gave a quote for fixing a leaky roof. He advised he was taking bookings for 2-3 weeks ahead. I called the day after receiving the quote but was told the earliest they could fit me in was 3 months later, for a job that would take one day. Reluctantly I agreed to the date in late January that they offered me. Didn't hear anything further until mid January when they emailed and said it would now be at least end of March before they could do the job, blaming poor weather, staff shortages etc. I emailed back asking if they could confirm a date, to which they replied they could no longer carry out the work that they had quoted for. Can't comment on whether they are any good at repairing roofs, but their shoddy customer service means I cant recommend them.

I contacted Herkomer because they were recommended by a neighbour having a similar roof replacement. Ben turned up when he said he would was very professional and answered my queries. Timely quote and very competitive price. The team turned up when they said they would, got the work done despite very hot weather. Kept me informed about the job. Ben explained options carefully and at the end explained what they had done. It was a painless experience and i believe it is a very good job. I would highly recommend this company.

Professional and most satisfactory experience
The job entailed replacing guttering, fascias & soffits and renewing flat roof. Arrival times were prompt and the job was finished on budget and well within the agreed schedule. Both tradesmen were friendly, answering questions and communicating in all instances where it was necessary. An additional extra small job was also carried out promptly without any fuss. It was a pleasure to do business with Herkomer Roofing.

A great job re-felting the garage roof

I required re-felting of my garage roof - the existing roof was literally peeling off and required immediate replacement due to the poor weather. Herkomer Roofing came to have a look within a day of calling. The work was scheduled accordingly and they arrived promptly on the day. The old roof was stripped and removed. New felting was applied. They estimated a little over a day to complete and finish off for a double length garage. The job took just over a day as scheduled and looks great. They did a fantastic job laying the new felt and finishing off the trimming. The guys were very friendly and courteous and didn't leave any mess behind. I am completely satisfied with the job and would not hesitate to use or recommend them for further work should it be required.

I have used Herkomer Roofing at least three times now, and each time Ben has been fast, friendly, and very efficient. He has given me accurate estimates and explained why the work needs to be done, and how he plans to do it. He has replaced missing ridge tiles and roof tiles (no mean feat on a three story house), cleared gutters, and replaced a whole flat roof for me. I have every confidence that he is a completely trustworthy and reliable craftsman, and I would have no hesitation in both using Herkomer Roofing again, and in recommending them to others.

We have used Herkomer Roofing Ltd for over 10 years for various repair jobs some big some small. We've just had a new flat roof replaced as we had a leak recently. They arrived to do the job when they said as they always do. They don't overcharge, their work is excellent, they take care and don't leave a mess. They will also have a good look around and fix other tiles that they see need sorting out if it can be done at the same time. Ben and company are extremely trustworthy take pride in their work and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

I had a hole in the roof and Herkomer Roofing were there in under 24 hours, and not just to do a temporary patch up. Full job done in no time at all, and the price rather stunned me as to how reasonable it was. I wouldn't use anyone else.
