Complete removal and replacement of an old kitchen, which included dealing with electrics, ceiling and floor replacement and coordination of boiler renewal. This was done efficiently and very effectively. Communication was excellent throughout. Our needs were considered carefully and any issues arising from working on an older building were managed through skilled problem solving. Decision-making was well supported through discussion with Gerry that reflected his experience and skill. Gerry and his friendly team do a great job. They were skillful, tidy and punctual.

Gerry completed a total bathroom removal and installation. The work was carried out to an excellent standard within the agreed budget and on time. There was an additional issue with the Lintel beam, however Gerry was able to offer his expert advice and rectify the problem. Gerry and his team were punctual, tidy, professional, friendly and communicated each stage of the installation work with me. They even turned up for work during the two-day heat wave! I highly recommend Gerry he went above and beyond, and I will definitely be using him again for future projects.

Gerry and his team spent two weeks working on our kitchen and it was a pleasure to have them onboard. Despite opting for a cheaper kitchen model that required additional work to fit, Gerry possesses excellent carpentry skills and was able to manipulate the materials to provide us with even more space than the kitchen planners had accounted for. Every finish was done to a high standard and they made sure to clean the site at the end of each day which makes a real difference when living in a flat. I would absolutely employ Heron Carpentry again and have recommended them to family and friends.

Gerry replied promptly to my request to quote and started work when we agreed. He was reliable, tidy and worked hard to finish the job within the stated time. He was helpful and professional and I'm impressed with the results. Would recommend.

We employed Gerry of Heron Carpentry for the refurbishment of our utility room/back kitchen using John Lewis supplied cupboards, sink and worktops. It included plumbing, electrical work, plastering, decorating and tiling as well as the carpentry. Gerry estimated promptly. He arrived on the agreed date and carried out the work in a planned way, co-ordinating efficiently the work of a plasterer and tilers employed by him. He carefully timetabled the work around the date for the delivery of the cupboards and for the measuring and delivery of the worktop. Gerry was very pleasant to deal with and discussed with us any issues as they arose. He accommodated some adjustments we asked for as he started work, and dealt effectively with a few snags that arose - in consultation with us. We are very pleased with the result and would highly recommend Gerry.

Gerry fitted a new kitchen in my flat in Crystal Palace in the weeks leading up to Christmas. I am delighted with the end result. From my initial dealings with him, he was consistently very professional & diligent. He was also flexible and very helpful as I don't live full time at the flat so needed him to look after keys and sometimes be available to let other tradespeople into the flat. He also worked around a new window installation in the kitchen which required the kitchen fitting to be done to specific dates. I'd have no hesitation in recommending him and his quote was competitive and accurate.

Gerry from Heron Carpentry did some great work for us recently. He installed a wonderful new kitchen for us in the summer, which we are delighted with. And in the Autumn he did a complete makeover of our bathroom and cloakroom, which we are thrilled with too. We were really pleased with how he worked, the quality of his work, the small details, the finish, and basically how he managed the projects. Gerry is very easy to work with, he listens to what you want and makes good suggestions with regard to designs and costs. He coordinates other trades well and is good with agreed deadlines. All work ran very smoothly, with Gerry able to coordinate well and problem solve effectively when needed. He is reliable, very skillful and extremely trustworthy. I have no hesitation in recommending Gerry at all.

Gerry replaced the canopy outside our back door with a new larger one, designed and built by himself. He carried out the work on the planned schedule despite the weather not being the greatest for outside work (returning promptly the following week to finish off when the final trim was delivered). He liaised helpfully with our electrician about the outside light. This is the second time we have used Gerry. He is very pleasant to deal with, makes useful suggestions, and delivers a great product. We recommend him highly.

Gerry Heron completely refurbished our two bathrooms and the cloakroom, including demolition of some 'false' bulkheads in the en-suite and an old airing cupboard (plus blocking up the cupboard door on the landing) to make both bathrooms bigger. The work was completed in a month, as scheduled, and the quality of workmanship was excellent, including the work Gerry subcontracted to a plasterer and a tiler. Gerry did everything else. We couldn't be happier with the end result and Gerry was very flexible when it came to working around our commitments and some other work we were having done at the same time. I strongly recommend Gerry for bathroom refurbishments and he is currently laying a new 'floating' vinyl tile floor for us in the hall, as well as the cloakroom. We also plan to use him to replace some internal doors in the near future. The only very minor criticism I have is that Gerry tends to drive projects forward at pace (which is good!!) but just make sure you clearly communicate exactly what you want and where you want small things like towel rails and other minor design details! Finally, and importantly, Heron Carpentry represents excellent value for money without the overheads of larger contractors.

Gerry and George did a fantastic job installing new fire doors and building a partition in a hallway. The partition was a bespoke piece of work and Gerry did a fine job creating an aesthetic which suited the existing hallway. I would highly recommend Heron carpentry. Gerry was very easy to deal with from start to finish and the job was reasonably priced. 5 stars all round.
