I am very satisfied with the service received from Heron Carpentry Limited from start to finish. The work commenced on the agreed date and stayed within the agreed budget. Communication throughout the service was excellent. My expectations of the service and quality of the workmanship was met completely. There arose an unexpected problem with the kitchen once the old cabinets were removed which had the potential to spoil the look of the kitchen on completion. However, Gerry resolved the problem, adding additional structures and thereby ensuring the kitchen was completed to my satisfaction. No cost was added for this additional work. I am confident aftercare will continue.

Heron Carpentry have just completed the installation of my new kitchen they have done a great job from start to finish. From the first meeting Heron Carpentry have been concise and clear on charges and what work needs to be done and when. They set expectations and delivered on their promises. The clear and concise initial pricing and then the transparency of extra work that was required was a breath of fresh air compared to other trades I had engaged. They managed the kitchen supplier and worked together with the worktop fitters to complete a stunning kitchen. I would recommend this company for fitting kitchens.

We are still discovering issues with the fitting of our kitchen and utility, months after Heron Carpentry left. Poor cuts/drilling, alignment issues, corner posts incorrectly fitted with units overlapping, holes drilled in the wrong place on our new fridge door, doors put on the wrong way around, poorly fitted sinks with packers left on show, damaged units and panels. See photographs on Google reviews (under ‘Heroes Carpentry’). I have spent a considerable amount of time and money trying to correct some of the above. Many of these issues were discussed with Gerry at the time and he did cover the cost of replacing three doors that were put on the wrong way. We didn’t ask Heron Carpentry back to complete the remaining work quoted for. I don’t like posting negative reviews but we have been so disappointed with the quality of workmanship and relied on the 5 star reviews when choosing Heron Carpentry.

Gerry recently did two jobs for us - built in desks for our office and a new utility room with floor to ceiling built in cupboards, toilet and sink. We would highly reccomend Gerry. His carpentry skills are fantastic and we are very happy with both completed jobs. He is trustworthy, a good timekeeper and always open to discussing the job at any point. We have used him the past and would use him again in the future. Thanks Gerry!

Gerry was recommended to me by a neighbour, I had been to her house and was very impressed by his carpentry work. I contacted him about doing my bathroom. He was very friendly, polite, approachable and professional. He was very realistic about his availability and what was involved in a new bathroom. I called him several times for advice and questions and he always took my calls, was very helpful and patient with me. Once the installation date was agreed, Gerry was very clear on what happened on each day and who was involved in the project. I was very impressed with his timekeeping, quality of his work and his work ethos. All the workers he brought in ie tiler, electrician, plasterer etc arrived on time and completed their jobs on time and to a high standard. I observed that Gerry had a very personable with all other traders that he brought in and they all really respected him. He was also very flexible when I brought in my own floor fitter. He flexed and adjusted the quote accordingly. When the job was completed, I was over the moon and very happy with my new bathroom. The job was finished on time. I was so happy with my new bathroom, that I got Gerry to do the bathroom in my mum's maisonette as he had a window in his busy calendar and I grabbed it. Thank you to Gerry for making my dream come true and making me a beautiful new bathroom, and a extra special thank you from my mum (fellow Scot) for her beautiful bathroom too! I have booked Gerry for my Kitchen project too :-)

Gerry built beutiful fitted wardrobes for my new bedroom and completed other building works, including insulating an external wall. Initially, I chose Gerry for his good communication skills and his competitive quote. On first impression, I thought he was someone I could trust and talk with. He gave me valualbe advice but also listened to my needs. Adjustments made along the way did not pose problems. The work was completed according to schedule. Gerry is clearly an experienced and skilled craftsman. Most importantly, he was a pleasure to have working in my home. I will be using his services again and I would heartily recommend him to others.

Gerry built custom bookshelves and a media unit for us that we're thrilled with, at a very reasonable and competitive price. He was able to start quickly on the project, turned it around in great time, and was happy to make any adjustments along the way as we needed or requested. A really friendly guy and very easy to work with, and he delivered exactly what we envisioned with top quality. Bonus points for how much he tidied up everything afterwards - not many workers leave with the place as clean as they arrived but Gerry did! Highly recommended!

I found Gerry Heron through Trustedtraders as I needed a door replaced that had fallen off a worn door jam. It was a challenging job, but Gerry came up with a great solution. At the same time I discussed with him the idea of installing a kitchen island to add storage and an extra worktop. No problem, he said, and came up with a plan, reasonable estimate and work schedule. Bottom line — he did a great job on both, and I love the island. He works to schedule, no faffing about, and bonus - he has a wonderful sense of humour. He is definitely top of the list for doing more jobs in future.

Heron Carpentry was recommended by a close friend. All communication was with ease and very straightforward, nothing was complicated. I had experienced water damage in my property from a flat above. Heron Carpentry repaired damage to my bathroom and kitchen. This included replacing grout, sealant, plasterboard, all making good including painting. I felt very comfortable and confident with Heron Carpentry and in safe hands. A quotation was provided and the invoice followed. The finished result was very satisfactory and I would strongly recommend them. Having experienced a stressful time, previously with workmen and the stress of water ingress into my property, it was much appreciated relying on a company who understood my concerns, knew my requirements and followed through with a professional job.

Gerry was a pleasure to work with. We needed a bespoke cupboard fitted to hide our boiler and he came over to assess what we wanted and gave great advice. He was communicative, helpful, efficient and produced great work. I wouldn't hesitate to book him again for another carpentry job.
