Welcome to Hertford Plumbers Ltd. We provide plumbing and heating services in Hertfordshire, Essex and the London area.
Hertford Plumbers Ltd is a family company providing all aspects of plumbing and heating including Air Source Heat Pumps and underfloor heating, boiler installations, boiler breakdowns and repairs, boiler services, including the issue of landlord gas safety certificates, central heating flushes, all aspects of bathroom and wet-room installations and legionnaire's risk assessment.
We are a Worcester accredited installer for boilers, recommending these products to all our existing and potential customers, confident that we offer the best products with the best available support and Guarantees.
We will design, supply and fit full heating systems, including Air Source Heat Pumps and underfloor heating.
All our work is guaranteed for a year and we are fully insured. We are happy to provide free estimates.

Disconnected old kitchen sink and installed new one and replaced basin taps in the bathroom. I recently hired Hertford Plumbers to install a new boiler and a bath screen, and the entire experience was excellent. They provided a very competitive quote and were able to schedule the job promptly. Rob and John were highly professional—punctual, efficient, tidy, and respectful of my property. Both John and Rob were friendly and professional. They renovated our small bathroom, ripping everything out and replacing it with new fittings, some of which they suggested. They stuck to the schedule and budget, and were always very open with communicating what they were doing, when they would do it and how long it might take. Their finishing was superb, would definitely recommend.

We first used Hertford Plumbers eleven years ago to completely refurbish our three bathrooms; this included completely stripping out the existing fittings, retiling, and replacing the fittings. In one bathroom, whilst stripping out, they managed to find us extra space by relocating fittings hidden behind a false wall. A couple of years later we used them to replace our existing gas central heating boiler, which they have serviced annually ever since. We have also used them on several occasions for smaller plumbing jobs. I recommend them for their high quality of workmanship and value for money.

I have been using this company for years since I accepted their estimate to fit a new boiler and over-haul my elderly mother's gas central heating. They have subsequently carried out the annual service and maintenance. They have dealt with all her domestic plumbing requirements from a burst pipe to fixing toilets etc. They are always punctual, courteous, tidy and kind. They are the only company that my mother is comfortable to attend her home now without the need for me to be present to reassure her. I am ever grateful that a friend recommended them to me.

We first found Hertford Plumbers a few years ago when we were let down by a major British homecare provider who misdiagnosed what turned out to be a simple problem. Since then, Hertford Plumbers have replaced our central heating, installed a new bathroom and continue to do our annual boiler and gas checks. Most recently they fitted a new wireless thermostat. We have always found Hertford Plumbers to be extremely friendly and accommodating. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable plumbing service.

Very old Stuart Turner pressure boosting pump failed last week depriving me of bath/shower. Called Rob at Hertford Plumbers who advised on replacement and costs and ordered it. Arrived with them late Friday, and installed by Mark by lunchtime Monday. And it's quieter than the old one! Very happy!

I have contacted this company for a bathroom refurbishment (plumbing only) and a few small jobs in the house. They gave me an £8,000 global estimate (including things we specifically didn't ask for). When I tried to get more details about the pricing, John unexpectedly lost his temper and told me that he doesn't want to work for us, period. We have had many fantastic tradespeople working in our house, but struggled to find a good plumber. Fortunately, one of our tradespeople has recommended us a good one, and this is such a relief! From my experience, I don't recommend trying to find your plumber online, and certainly not this one.

Hertford Plumbers have performed a number of jobs for us over perhaps five years. These include a boiler replacement within a slightly complex two-zone 'legacy' system (without any previous system plans of course), boiler repair and providing Landlord's Gas Safety certificates for a rented property. Importantly for me, they are locally-based in a business premises in Ware. John is approachable and straightforward in discussing work by phone and email. His colleagues are polite and professional. John arranged a short-notice boiler call-out for us a few days before the Christmas holidays this year at a time when things were 'shutting down'. I recommend Hertford Plumbers to others and will continue to use them myself.
