We recommend Gary and his team @ Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd with the strongest possible endorsement. They built a garden patio and planting area for our back garden and were incredibly meticulous. The planning was excellent, they were always on time with all aspects of the work and actually completed it with a quality that was beyond our expectations. They even came back to us proactively to highlight that some of the quoted work was not required and therefore the total bill would be less! Gary and colleagues were friendly but never intrusive. After finishing the job, they cleared all building mess so that no work was required by us to clean after them - they even made our front driveway look better. There were no issues whatsoever with the work undertaken and we are delighted to recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and cost effective job!

Having had bad experiences in the past we were very wary undertaking the massive task of renewing our old and tired driveway. We had several quotes and so happy that we opted for Hertfordshire Driveways. I can’t recommend Hertfordshire Driveways highly enough. From the moment We first spoke to Gary, to him coming to quote for the job, we were impressed with the quality of customer service. He listened to our requirements and was not pushy leaving it entirely up to us to decide if we wanted to proceed - we were not put under any pressure at all. Gary showed us samples of various bricks we had seen the the brochure and helped us with the design. A final start date was agreed and Lee and his team turned up on time as anticipated. They were polite and friendly and completed the job efficiently, overcoming any unforeseen issues and kept the area tidy throughout. The attention to detail was first class. We are so pleased with our driveway, and have had so many comments on the quality of the work and design. We would not hesitate in using Hertfordshire Driveways for future projects ie patio, artificial lawn.

We have been really pleased with our experience of Hertfordshire Driveways. They built our patio last year and, from that experience, we wanted them to upgrade our driveway this year. The whole process from design through to implementation was very well managed and we have had a lot of compliments about our drive. We had one small issue with the finished look but they were exceptionally quick at putting it right, with no quibbling. We felt we got exactly what we wanted. They are probably not the cheapest installer but we felt the price was worth the peace of mind and the delivery of a great product.

Having moved to a new build the front of the house was left as an uninspirational gravelled area. Gary took on board our ideas before coming up with a detailed drawing. It was great being able to compare the different paving samples before we made our final decision. Lee and the team worked efficiently, keeping the area clean and tidy and were respectful of our neighbours. The quality of the work is outstanding and we couldn't be happier with the finished result. We highly recommend.

From the plans being drawn up expertly by Gary, with instructions on the process and transparent pricing. To the installation lead by Lee and his hardworking team, the whole process was an utter pleasure and I truly wish more companies were like these guys. Everything was to schedule and budget. They think of the smallest details, go out of their way to deliver an impeccable service. And are the happiest, politest and friendliest bunch I have ever come across, not many would stop what they were doing to help you in with your shopping! The job is so good we have had people from streets away coming up asking who installed our drive, all our neighbours are also extremely impressed and full of compliments. I wish they did other building work as they would be the only company I ever used! And I cannot stop smiling at how fabulous my drive and back garden looks! Thank you guys!

Hertfordshire Driveways were excellent in every way, from the detailed quotation by Gary for the agreed work, for the new driveway. On the arranged day for the commencement of the installation which was supervised by Lee and his installation team, one could not fault the standard of work, which was completed on time. It did not matter that there was some light rain on the second day, they just carried on working and finished the installation as promised on the 3rd day.

Excellent from start to finish. Detailed clear discussions of options, design, planning and associated quotes with Gary. Lee and his team of installers really are a team and everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Always happy to explain what they were doing. The high quality of the workmanship, and pride in their work was obvious. Everything ran to time and budget. Couldn't be more happy with the result.

Gary spent a long time with me discussing my options, drawing up detailed plans, and providing quotes for a number of paving materials to choose from. Absolutely no pressure. He worked hard to get a date for the work that fitted with my own schedule. Lee and his team of installers were very professional and experienced, working as a well oiled team. Very efficient and friendly, and happy to answer questions, although I didn't have many as their expertise was clear and they kept me involved with any decisions that needed making. The end product was way above my expectations, and completed well inside the agreed timescale whilst delivering a high quality job. Everything was left clean and tidy when the work was complete.

We had asked Gary and his team for a quote to pavine the forecourt of our semi-detached house (previously tarmacced) and to replace patio paving at the rear (including rebuilding retaining wall). From the first visit to give an estimate, to the 2-hour site visit to draw up scale plans and agree materials for the work, and the actual onsite construction work, the job was completed to the specification and a day less than was estimated for the work. As soon as the guys arrived on site they got cracking and worked hard all day - no apparent lunch breaks and they even worked on a very hot Saturday morning. They also washed up their coffee cups when we weren't around - a little thing, but it says a lot about their approach to providing customer satisfaction. Unlikely to be the cheapest suppliers for the work, but we were paying for reliability, professionalism, quality and speed of completion which we believe we've received in full.

From the initial quotation through to the completion of the project , I cannot fault Gary and his team. The standard of work and attention to detail was 100 %. The work team were so quick , friendly and left no mess . Well recommended by me and neighbours.

Initially I was a little concerned as Herts Drives has very little online presence, but I decided to give them a chance and get Gary and team to quote. I found their quotation very reasonable and their method including working up scale drawings to be incredibly thorough. There are not a huge number of drive companies offering resin and after much research I knew it was what I wanted without paying over the odds for this premium product. The team turned up exactly when expected and were hard-working and courteous. They were clear each step of the way what they were doing and what decision making would be needed to get me the drive I wanted. They were clearly highly skilled and experienced. I have already received many compliments on my new drive, and it has really completed my house renovation. I look forward to many years of use on my new drive, and I don't foresee there being any problems as it is wonderfully done and very low maintenance. However, having the 5 year guarantee is great for my peace of mind.

Just a few lines to say how pleased I am upon the completion of the paving of my frontage. My family, friends, neighbours and numerous passers-by have commented on how nice it all looks. It shows what can be achieved when a client/ contractor partnership works well. We are very satisfied with Hertfordshire Driveways and the paving they have installed. After contacting the company Gary surveyed the property and helped us to make decisions about what would be appropriate. He visited a number of times to ensure that he had accurately interpreted our requirements. He offered a detailed plan and a breakdown of the costs. The quotation was the most competitive of the four companies approached. The team started the work on schedule and worked extremely hard. The guys on site were always friendly and polite and responded to any requests for changes as the work progressed. The work was carried out over four days of solid work and we are very happy with the quality. The site was left clean and tidy. Lee came the following day to make some finishing touches and check we were happy. All in all we are very satisfied with the results.

Gary at Hertfordshire Driveways did a great job for us with good advice and assistance in choosing the right product at a competitive price. His team completed the work extremely efficiently and were a pleasure to have around. We now plan to use them again later in the year to replace decking at the rear of the house with matching blockwork.

I had some new steps and front landscaping done and couldn't be more pleased. This company worked really hard, the finished work is lovely and I have had nothing but compliments about the work they carried out. The team were utmost professionals and I would recommend them to anyone.

I cannot praise Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd highly enough. From start to finish they did a terrific job, easily on time and on budget. From early design involving several visits in person, with excellent planning and drawing to meet the needs of Letchworth Heritage Foundation (ours is a 'home of special interest in Letchworth's 'heritage area') we had a first-class service and faultless communications. Once underway, the men worked tirelessly and were considerate and most helpful - nothing was too much trouble and the attention they paid to detail was amazing. If ever I had work of a similar nature to do in the future, i would definitely re-engage Hertfordshire Driveways. I highly recommend them - our driveway has been transformed and all we have to do now is plant up the newly made flower beds.

Gary, came to our house to inspect the job. He explained the potential issues with the work and he offered us several choices for the resurfacing. Gary came back a second time with some samples and he was always quick to respond to WhatsApp messages and emails. He produced a sketch plan and a quote. The quote was not the cheapest we had but we were willing to pay a bit more for a quality service from an experienced and accredited company. Videos and pictures of previous jobs helped to convince us. We believe that Gary gave us good advice. The job started on the agreed date and the building team is lead by Gary's colleague, Lee. Lee is very practical and obviously has a lot of experience. The team broke up the existing tarmac drive with a mini-digger and a contrator came and removed the debris within two hours. Lee consulted with us to check that we agreed the plans and pattern of the blocks. The majority of the blocks were laid on that first day and the job was finished by the afternoon of the second day. Our drive is only small at about 25sqm. There are trees adjacent to our drive and the HDL team were very careful not to damage them in any way. We were pleased with the time Gary took to introduce his Company and explain the options and pricing. The building team were professional and friendly. Communications were good throughout.

Hertfordshire Driveways paved my driveway with Marshall blocks right up to the front door including a new manhole cover and a drain. I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency with which they worked. The job was completed on time and on (very reasonable) budget. Lee and his entire team handled the work as though it was a military operation. Great attention to detail, the finished result looks very good indeed, they thoroughly deserve their glowing reviews.
