My name is James Todd and I specialise in domestic plumbing. I have 10 years experience and am technically qualified to NVQ level 2. I pride myself in the quality of service I provide. All of my customers will agree that I am punctual, courteous and very fair when pricing a job. I have never and will never provide a sub standard service, it is just not in my nature. I do not consider any job too small. Infact, I prefer the smaller jobs as that keeps me more mobile and able to provide a quicker service to more people. I carry full liability insurance (to the value of £2,000,000) and have a fully equipped modern van.

I specialise in small plumbing jobs.

I have also acquired a drain jetter and can offer a drain unblocking service.

James replaced the mixer tap, cord and head on my shower. He also contacted one of his colleagues who is a boiler engineer to help with a problem with the water temperature. The water temperature is now good and I am very pleased with the new unit on the shower. James did a very professional job and is someone who likes small jobs, which is quite rare where I live.

Before Xmas I discovered that the cistern in a en-suite bathroom was leaking. I managed to stop the leak by emptying the cistern and stopping it refilling. I got a name of a plumber from a builder friend but this plumber promised x4 times to come around to fix it but never turned up. I was getting desperate as we were due to go abroad for a month and so I spoke to my ex-builder who gave me James number and he promptly came around and isolated the cistern so we could go away reassured that there would be no leak- he did not charge for this. When we came back I called him and he came to fix it by replacing the “donut” underneath the cistern. While he was here he sorted out 2 other toilets which we had issues with for months. James was reliable, very professional as well as being personable and very reasonable. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

I'd engaged with a different plumbing company due to an issue with my toilet flush and they charged a lot for a diagnostic visit, then were asking for a huge amount for the necessary repairs. I got in touch with James and he offered to come round at short notice over the weekend to sort it, and did it for half the price. Lifesaver! He was also just a very sound guy, can't recommend enough.

We had a water leak from a toilet upstairs, which had dripped water over a long period of time into a cavity above a window in the downstairs kitchen. This had eventually made the plasterboard rot where the leak had dripped. We called James based on his 5-star reviews on Which? He very quickly addressed the problem and removed and replaced the flexible connection from the back of the toilet to the foul pipe, which was where the leak was coming from. James worked very quickly and effectively to solve the problem and charged a very fair price. We would certainly use him again for any future plumbing problem and would recommend him without hesitation to friends and family.

James replied promptly to my query and rather than give me a quote he came to my flat (after texting to arrange a time) and very quickly fixed my dripping tap. He was friendly and professional and knew exactly what he was doing. His charge was quite acceptable. I would certainly use James again and will recommend him to other residents in my development.

My 96 year olds Aunt’s toilet was blocked, and the flushing mechanism had broken. James came round within the hour, even though it was his birthday and he’d resolved not to work that day. Really friendly, efficient, no-nonsense service at a very reasonable price.

My toilet was dripping water after flushing and my shower was leaking water after showering. I’ve contacted James and agreed on a day for the repair. James was punctual, polite and fixed all the issues we had at a good price. We are very happy we chose James and we certainly use him again.

Tap started leaking on a Saturday morning. Had to turn water off in house to stop damage. James was able to come as soon as possible and fixed it quickly. Extremely reasonable price considering how quickly he was able to come on a weekend. I’d definitely use him again for any plumbing jobs, and would certainly recommend.

Called James when my mum in laws toilet flush stuck whilst we were on holiday. She has some dementia. He went within the hour, called us as arranged so we could assure her who he was. Solved the problem and charged us a very modest fee. Can’t recommend enough and will be sharing with family and friends locally.
