My name is James Todd and I specialise in domestic plumbing. I have 10 years experience and am technically qualified to NVQ level 2. I pride myself in the quality of service I provide. All of my customers will agree that I am punctual, courteous and very fair when pricing a job. I have never and will never provide a sub standard service, it is just not in my nature. I do not consider any job too small. Infact, I prefer the smaller jobs as that keeps me more mobile and able to provide a quicker service to more people. I carry full liability insurance (to the value of £2,000,000) and have a fully equipped modern van.
I specialise in small plumbing jobs.
I have also acquired a drain jetter and can offer a drain unblocking service.

We had a water leak from a toilet upstairs, which had dripped water over a long period of time into a cavity above a window in the downstairs kitchen. This had eventually made the plasterboard rot where the leak had dripped. We called James based on his 5-star reviews on Which? He very quickly addressed the problem and removed and replaced the flexible connection from the back of the toilet to the foul pipe, which was where the leak was coming from. James worked very quickly and effectively to solve the problem and charged a very fair price. We would certainly use him again for any future plumbing problem and would recommend him without hesitation to friends and family.

James replied promptly to my query and rather than give me a quote he came to my flat (after texting to arrange a time) and very quickly fixed my dripping tap. He was friendly and professional and knew exactly what he was doing. His charge was quite acceptable. I would certainly use James again and will recommend him to other residents in my development.

My 96 year olds Aunt’s toilet was blocked, and the flushing mechanism had broken. James came round within the hour, even though it was his birthday and he’d resolved not to work that day. Really friendly, efficient, no-nonsense service at a very reasonable price.

Tap started leaking on a Saturday morning. Had to turn water off in house to stop damage. James was able to come as soon as possible and fixed it quickly. Extremely reasonable price considering how quickly he was able to come on a weekend. I’d definitely use him again for any plumbing jobs, and would certainly recommend.

Called James when my mum in laws toilet flush stuck whilst we were on holiday. She has some dementia. He went within the hour, called us as arranged so we could assure her who he was. Solved the problem and charged us a very modest fee. Can’t recommend enough and will be sharing with family and friends locally.

James was everything you would want in a tradesperson. He was quick to respond and kept me informed from the moment he agreed to come out, providing updates on the day and time. He didn't just come to look at problems and then leave; he came to fix them and did so. I was around and can testify that he worked hard and quickly. He even sorted out an issue that I only discovered on the day. I felt his costs were very reasonable, and he is also a really nice guy. I would highly recommend him. Replacement outdoor tap and tightening of bathroom tap. Excellent service, arrived on time, very clean tidy worker. Great contact to have for these smaller jobs. The old bath panel had been incorrectly fitted and difficult to remove - therefore this job became far harder than expected and time consuming. James did a fantastic, clean replacement of the bath panel and taps ,the grout was replaced too. James communicated well and was punctual. I would definitely recommend him

I had a leak in my utility room which James quickly identified as being due to a fairly old hose tap. I said that I would prefer for it to be replaced rather than fixed and he was able to do that straight away. Everything is working fine now. He is friendly, courteous was and easy to communicate with in terms of fixing an appointment. He arrived when he said he would.

Extremely impressed with the super-fast service and affordable price. The first time calling James this morning at 9:30 am to fix my toilet which the flushing not working and leaking underneath. He came within 20 minutes and fixed it within an hour. While fixing, I also requested to add an isolation valve too and he immediately did that with no problem. Definitely will recommend him to all my friends and family.

I rang James today about a non filling cistern which is built in and therefore difficult to get at. Within half an hour he was at my house and within the hour of the original call it was fixed. His charges are very reasonable and he is a joy to deal with. Cannot recommend him enough.

James fixed a leaking pipe from a toilet cistern. He was very easy to contact on his mobile, focused, and a suitable date and time agreed for the repair. His communication throughout and on the day was excellent, and he completed the task without issue. He came across as a pleasant, humble, and polite man. We are soon to move house and decided to replace the kitchen tap. The first company fitted a new tap but within minutes of them leaving we spotted a leak. They returned four times to cure this leak until we lost patience and called a new plumber. I know this seems hard to believe but the new plumber visited our house seven times. After we texted him to say it was still leaking we heard nothing more. We contacted James on Friday 9th October 2020 and he came to our house on Monday 12th. James was here for just under two hours and the leak was gone! Yes on the thirteenth visit by a plumber the leak was gone. Cannot recommend James highly enough.

Had an old electric shower that needed replacing. James’ communication was brilliant and he showed up exactly when he said he would. He sourced a new shower at exactly the spec I asked for and installed it within an hour. He also fixed the dodgy slow filling cistern on the toilet that he’d noticed while he’d been working. Polite, friendly and efficient. He worked quickly and maintained social distancing rules. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you James!

I messaged James early in the morning during the lockdown in a panic because my toilet flush had broken, the cats were going ballistic and I was wasting a lot of water. He replied straight away telling me he'd be there in an hour or so and to turn the water off. When he turned up, he said to leave him to it and the job was done, all fixed with a new flush in five minutes. Reasonably priced. I honestly can't fault the guy. Social distancing was maintained at all times so all good on that front so thanks James. Definitely recommend.

I called James on Wednesday and he came out Friday morning to my daughters house. The toilet cistern was constantly filling and was annoying as well as wasting metered water.
