Very professional job with 2 operatives who were very polite. Operatives ensured everything was covered and kept clean, very helpful regarding use and care etc.

I was unsure we would be able to have a stove due to our home’s size and layout. Humphrey and Crockett went above and beyond to make sure we explored every option. They worked to my tight budget, kept me informed with quotes and options. At every stage of the work they were quick to contact and answer any questions. The installation team were amazing and so clean. Numerous follow up calls to check we are happy and all is well, I can’t recommend this company enough. I would be happy to refer family or friends to them after experiencing their full service. I was also impressed when talking to local people about getting a stove how many people could not speak highly enough about this company, now I understand why.

From our initial enquiry through to after-sales support, Kyle was always prompt with the advice and information and very helpful. He helped us work to our budget and explained the options clearly. I needed to have my boiler replaced and was recommended to Humphrey & Crockett Ltd. I was very concerned about access and preventing damage being caused during the process. I need not have worried as the two guys that completed the install were first class. They took every precaution to prevent damage, protecting the door frame and floor and even supplied a ramp to ensure easier access. Their attention to detail was second to none. When they had finished the removal and install, you would not even have known that they had been there. I have never met two such hard working, conscientious, amiable people. I would not hesitate to recommend Humphrey & Crockett Ltd. I would like to thank Paul (the governor) for fitting us in at very short notice even though they were extremely busy.

From start to finish all those involved with my request for infrared panel heating have been polite, informative and not pushing for a sale! Charlie, electrician and installer, never did anything without explanation or making assumptions, and both, including Sam her assistant, were polite and kept cleaning up after themselves; if I had any questions or concerns they ensured I understood what was happening during the whole process and alleviated any concerns I had with my electrics. It was a pleasure to have them in my home and I did state that in fact I am ecstatic about the work done. It may seem strange to have had this done now, June, but I am confident that when the winter comes, I will be nice and cosy under my new heating system. In fact so pleased with all that has been done, now looking to have my bathroom updated!!

I have been using H&C for a number of years and their service (and servicing of my boiler) has always been great. I’m even more impressed, however, when things go wrong and they do all they can to meet my emergency needs, as happened recently. Highly recommended!

Highly Recommended! After moving into a new property with an existing air pump installed, we faced huge problems with the old system. No company seemed able—or willing—to identify and fix the issue. Called Humphrey and Crockett on Friday morning to report a central heating failure. Adam and Tom turned up on Friday evening to save us from a weekend without heating. Fixed the problem in spite of having to travel to get parts and were cheerful as well as competent. Being Valentine's Day, I hope their partners forgive them (and us). Excellent service as so often before. We are a longstanding customer.

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Kyle has kept us in the loop with everything. So well planned and the best price we had had. I’ve been recommended this company before and can see why! The 2 guys who came to install we couldn’t fault . Both super friendly and so clean and tidy! They cleaned up daily and when they left it was like new. Our new log burner is amazing! Humphrey & Crockett installed our fire and heat pump to a very high standard. We installed a specific Jotul that they went out and sourced. The heat pump was done quickly despite the complicated installation work required. The team were knowledgeable, well organised, and clearly took pride in doing the job properly. Communication was clear throughout, the installation was tidy, and everything was explained thoroughly on handover. A professional, dependable service from start to finish I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for similar work.

Very impressed with the opening up our fireplace and the installation of the log burner. A swift response to my initial request for a quote swayed me towards this company and I'm glad that it did. The visit to the showroom was very informative and Bill helped us to choose a stove that is ecodesign ready. The range of accessories on show (hearth, beam etc) also allowed us to create an aesthetically pleasing feature for our living room at a very reasonable price. The team installing the stove were punctual and started work exactly on time. They were polite, friendly and, most impressively, very tidy. The work only took 2 days to complete which was great. The team were knowledgeable and we felt guided and supported throughout the whole process (perfect as this is the first time we have ever owned a log burner). We would definitely use this company again and would happily recommend them to friends and neighbours.

Humphrey & Crockett fitted a log burner for us last Spring and we were so delighted with both the log burner itself and the service H&C gave us that we had another one fitted last month. We have recently completed the installation of a new Air Source Heat Pump with the very efficient and extremely diligent help of Humphrey & Crockett. The installation was made complicated by the fact that we wanted to use the ASHP as the primary source of under floor and hot water heating whilst retaining the oil fired boiler as back up in the event of minus temperatures, given that we live in a frost pocket. This was achieved after a thorough survey of our house (to test insulation levels etc) and the need to install a "Link" system that has only recently been developed and put onto the market by Grant Boilers of Devizes. Paul Humphrey, Tom & Charlie could not have been more helpful in installing and setting up the system (extremely neat and tidy work) and, with the help of Grant engineers, we are up and very happily running. A very big thank you to Paul and his team who will now service the system on an annual basis.

I am so pleased I contacted Kyle at Humphrey and Crocket to advise on upgrading my heating. He is very knowledgeable and was very understanding about my budget. I subsequently ordered a log burner which was fitted recently. The team, Gavin, Owen and Adam were exemplary and professional in their work installing the log burner and flue. Recently I was impressed with this Company’s performance in giving advice and subsequently carrying out the installation of a heat pump system at my daughter’s recently acquired nearby property. I have experienced problems for some years with the heat pump system at my own house despite having expended significant funds on other contractors, the latest following breakdown over the Christmas period. Consequently I asked Paul Humphrey to check out my system and following constructive advice engaged Humphrey and Crockett to carry out remedial work to the system. Their attention has been professional, tenacious and cost effective. The system is now operating better than ever and I am confident of its future performance.

With a need to complete the sale of our house by 31 Jan 25 we were in a panic when the consumer unit was deemed a fail on the electrical test 15 Jan 25. Charlie continued with the rest of the inspection and was really helpful and professional throughout going above and beyond and rectifying other electricians’ past mistakes. Aware of our dilemma, she then engaged with the Ops Manager and worked later on other jobs, rescheduling their diary to enable a new unit to be fitted on 17 Jan 25. The level of professionalism and customer service is unsurpassable going well beyond the level of service I have experienced with other tradesmen. Good communication throughout with a refreshing “Can Do” attitude I have found them to be head and shoulders above any other company I have dealt with. I would not hesitate in unreservedly recommending them to anyone.

The heat pump installation and additional work on the heating system was completed brilliantly. Initial inspection, requirements capture, planning and design was performed very thoroughly, ensuring we were happy and well informed about the whole programme. The communication and payment process was very smooth and the installation was extremely well done. The team were very professional and considerate whilst working in our home. The electrician was excellent fitting all the electrical equipment brilliantly, everything being fitted exactly where needed. The plumbers were excellent, working very well, removing and disposing of all the previous equipment without fuss, then fitting the radiators, hot water tank, subsidiary equipment and heat pump really well. On commission day we had a good hand over, with discussion on how to operate and optimise the system, including details of any issues, possible changes of configuration and after service care. We were given certificates of standards and warranties for the system. We were contacted by one of the company directors ensuring continuity of service and support. Our home is already benefiting from being efficiently warmer, we also have the benefit of being able to control the system over the internet. This is probably the first time this house has been comfortably heated since it was built. We would like to thank Humphrey and Crockett for their hard work and commitment, definitely recommending them as excellent heating specialists.

If you want a job done on time, this is the company for you. On the days of the install, they arrived promptly, exactly when they said they were going to. I cannot fault the quality of the workmanship and how absolutely professional the Humphrey and Crockett installers are. They were efficient with a minimum of fuss, ensuring that the areas they were working in were kept clean and tidy as they worked. At the end of each day, they left the area spotless. We are extremely pleased that we found Humphrey & Crockett. From our first meeting with Bill when he came to quote through to fitting the service was first rate. We had already bought a stove from Ebay but this was no problem. Bill noticed that we did not have the collar so ordered one in, Sam and Michael turned up on the given date and were very polite and friendly. The job was quite difficult as getting the liner in proved to be a struggle. They worked extremely hard all the while still happy. They fitted a new Riven Slate hearth and the woodburner and gave me a very good lesson in how to use it. I cannot thank them enough. I would happily recommend Humphrey and Crockett to anyone.

We had an oil burning stove removed and replaced with an electric one. It entailed capping the oil pipe and chimney, removing the oil fire and installing the electric one. They turned up on time, worked very efficiently and were friendly and helpful. Dreading the mess but their work was clean as a whistle! Would definitely recommend them.

The work included advice on the correct wood burner for the location, including the room size, heat output and the new legal requirements; installation of the fire, a new chimney liner and chimney pot and insulation. The team paid great attention to protecting the carpet and room furnishings and left the room spotless. They protected the conservatory roof against any tiles that may have been dislodged whilst on the roof and even repaired a broken tile, not of their making! On completion, they explained the fire control mechanism and advised on the first lighting experience. They also went through the warranty registration procedures. All in all, quite excellent. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.
