Humphrey & Crockett Ltd are a plumbing and heating company based in Andover, Hampshire.
Established in 2010 we serve Andover, Southampton, Salisbury and Winchester as well as most of Hampshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire.
We cater for the needs of those wanting installation and maintenance of home heating. Anything from a wood burner and fireplace to a full heating system. We offer full heat losses and reports, system design, eco energy assessments and the boiler upgrade scheme (BUS) including £7,500 toward a heat pump installation.
We are an MCS certified business and strike the balance of quality installation , efficiency and cost effectiveness of giving the customer a warm comfortable home

From the first phonecall enquiring about a stove Kyle has been so helpful. Every question answered thoroughly, every detail was covered. Kyle and team were excellent from start to finish. The quote wasn’t pushy and offered advice on what to have and expect. When visited the showroom, we decided to move away from traditional and go with a more contemporary style which offered more to the space. They not only supplied and fitted the stove and flue but also laid a hearth and tiled the surround excellently. They were polite and professional throughout and cleared up any mess. Kyle did 2 sites visit which was reassuring. I would happily recommend them to anyone.

This company have a very good showroom where you can view a wide range of options available. Very knowledgeable staff, who advised what was achievable on our very tight date schedule. Installed on schedule, by two very helpful & knowledgeable fitters. They were polite, clean & tidy, and made a very good job at installing the new flue/ stove/ pot and making good the flaunching around the pot. Our builder was very happy with their installation as well. Communication was very good before, during & after installation.

We consulted Humphrey and Crockett because our existing cassette wood burner was not giving enough heat. They recommended 3 wood burners and we discussed in detail the pros and cons of each. We settled on one and booked in to carve out an open fireplace, install the wood burner and install a fascia beam. We had two people on site for a period of 2 days who were professional, friendly, efficient and could not have been nicer. There was no dust, no mess, and they did a lovely job installing the wood burner, carving out the fireplace and installing brick plates and a granite base and the fascia beam. Would highly recommend them, professional, efficient, and delightful to deal with.

Humphrey and Crockett installed our Air Source Heat Pump 3 years ago and have serviced it annually. We are very please with the product, installation and servicing. Humphrey and Crockett worked very closely with us to specify and install the system. We are very pleased with the installation and this meets our needs fully. In fact, following up on the installation and reviewing our use, Humphrey and Crockett have worked with us to optimise the use of the Air Source Heat Pump for heating and domestic water heating in conjunction with our Solar Panel System. The installation was professionally undertaken, which included the removal of our oil tank and oil-fired boiler and the installation and site left clean and tidy. We would highly recommend Humphrey and Crockett for their expertise and professional conduct.

We used Humphrey & Crockett for the installation of a new ASHP system as they are a local and highly regarded company. From the very first point of contact their representatives were pleasant, efficient friendly and professional. They were quick to provide a quote, change it when required and give full insight into the necessary work. The installation was smooth with no issues and was superbly carried out. Any tweaks required were quickly followed up on and Paul & Carl were, and still are, happy to provide advice and problem solving when asked. Would definitely use this company again, particularly when we look to convert to a green energy system.

We engaged Humphrey and Crocket to install an air source heat pump. A very thorough survey by Carl was undertaken to assess our heating needs - and to ensure Carl maintained his 100% success in obtaining a Voucher for £7,500 from HM Govt on our behalf. The work was undertaken by a skilled team who worked hard to install the necessary pipes, radiators and a hot water cylinder in the house - and the heat pump outside. It took just over a week to complete. We were kept informed of what work was involved each day - and great efforts were made to minimise disruption and to keep the place clean and tidy each day. Finally Tom and Paul took us through how the system operated with offers of help should we have any difficulties. Whilst with us H&C also sorted out some long-standing plumbing problems which we much appreciated.

From the moment I stepped into the showroom I was confident I would get the product and service I needed. The advice I was given was spot on and I felt I was listened to. The wood burner was installed over 3 days with minimal fuss and mess and having visited several other installer/ suppliers I felt I paid a fair price. The guys have just been back and swept whatever it is they sweep! All is well and the stove is burning very efficiently. I love, love ,love the wood burner and have no hesitation in recommending Humphrey and Crockett. PS. Emma in the office is a delight to deal with.

Moving house and stressful time. Needed a service and sweep of my log burner. Contacted Humphrey and Crockett, they sent a quote and booked me in. As an urgent job request they call me back to say they’d had a cancellation would I like the earlier time, perfect!. It was found at the service that we didn’t have an air brick which meant we couldn’t safely use the log burner. I got back onto phone and they dealt with my request quickly and professionally. We’ve seen 3 engineers from the company and all very experienced and professional, cleaned up after them wouldn’t have known they’d been here!. The whole experience with Humphrey and Crockett was first class, would highly recommend them.

We have been running a solid-fuel heating system for the past 40 years. We wanted to keep this going, but add an electrical boiler to the system. Humphrey and Crockett were recommended to us by the manufacturer of the boiler. They proved to be an excellent company. Care was taken in the discussions concerning the position of the new boiler and the control panel that would enable both systems to work together. They arrived on time and worked very hard, always cheerful and polite. My telephone questions were always answered knowledgeably. They really knew what they were doing, and we now have a fully functioning dual heating system. Thank you Humphrey and Crockett!

The work consisted of altering an existing fireplace and installing an inset stove and flue liner. After visiting the showroom and a visit from Bill, a detailed quotation was received recommending a stove, which turned out to be perfect. The installation team turned up on the day promised and the work was done in a highly professional way. Clean and tidy, floors and carpets protected and all with a cheery smile. New oil boiler, hot water cylinder and Evohome control system installed during refurbishment. Excellent service and advice during the whole process. The engineers, Kyle, Tom and Adam were first class. Very considerate and attention to detail. They were a pleasure to have working in my home. Paul Humphrey provided great advice and delivered on time and budget. We had a small glitch on the boiler burner with a loose terminal but this was a manufacturing fault which was resolved. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

From the first phonecall/email, I was impressed with the company and their knowledge. Kyle handled our case and nothing was too much trouble for him. Our wood burner installation was not straight-forward but that didn’t seem to phase them at all, and all the stops were pulled out to ensure we got what we wanted. The installation itself was professional and efficient. The guys were happy to chat through and show us what they were doing. No mess was left and we were really impressed with how smoothly it went. We also had a visit from Kyle the next day to commission the stove and answer any questions. This was incredibly helpful. We will be using H&C for our yearly sweeps, and can’t thank them all enough for giving us a great experience, and the woodburner that we’ve always dreamed of. I was unsure we would be able to have a stove due to our home’s size and layout. Humphrey and Crockett went above and beyond to make sure we explored every option. They worked to my tight budget, kept me informed with quotes and options. At every stage of the work they were quick to contact and answer any questions. The installation team were amazing and so clean. Numerous follow up calls to check we are happy and all is well, I can’t recommend this company enough. I would be happy to refer family or friends to them after experiencing their full service. I was also impressed when talking to local people about getting a stove how many people could not speak highly enough about this company, now I understand why.

I needed to have my boiler replaced and was recommended to Humphrey & Crockett Ltd. I was very concerned about access and preventing damage being caused during the process. I need not have worried as the two guys that completed the install were first class. They took every precaution to prevent damage, protecting the door frame and floor and even supplied a ramp to ensure easier access. Their attention to detail was second to none. When they had finished the removal and install, you would not even have known that they had been there. I have never met two such hard working, conscientious, amiable people. I would not hesitate to recommend Humphrey & Crockett Ltd. I would like to thank Paul (the governor) for fitting us in at very short notice even though they were extremely busy.

From start to finish all those involved with my request for infrared panel heating have been polite, informative and not pushing for a sale! Charlie, electrician and installer, never did anything without explanation or making assumptions, and both, including Sam her assistant, were polite and kept cleaning up after themselves; if I had any questions or concerns they ensured I understood what was happening during the whole process and alleviated any concerns I had with my electrics. It was a pleasure to have them in my home and I did state that in fact I am ecstatic about the work done. It may seem strange to have had this done now, June, but I am confident that when the winter comes, I will be nice and cosy under my new heating system. In fact so pleased with all that has been done, now looking to have my bathroom updated!!

Then we came across Humphrey & Crockett, and they were incredible! The team went above and beyond to try and repair the old pump, but it quickly became clear that it was beyond saving.
