An excellent service again from Humphries. They cleaned one of our wood-burning stoves and our Jetmaster open fire (both of which were installed by them around 7 or 8 years ago), all to a high standard and in a professional manner. They were also able to provide and fit a replacement fire brick at the same time which was really helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

I am thoroughly impressed with Humphries. They came out promptly (thank you so much Emily in the back office - very friendly and efficient) and assessed the work, quoted for what we needed an what they had suggested we might like to add in. They carried out the work earlier than we expected which is marvellous and I now have a working wood stove and a completed home - it is the icing on the cake! The team who came out to do the work were professional and friendly and took the time to explain everything - and fuss our dogs ;) Now that I have found this company I will be sticking with them for all our work - use them! You won't be disappointed I assure you!!

Can only recommend Humphries. We had a new log burner to put in that needed connecting a flue fit to the chimney. They fit us in quickly and easily worked around our strange-shaped chimney. They're HETAS registered so were able to sign it off themselves saving the money and hassle of additional building regs sign-off. Really appreciate their help!

Emily in the office, Barry who visited the site twice and the fitters who did the work over two days were all excellent. Attentive, responsive to changes of plan, keen to offer sound advice and fit around our budget. They coordinated well with the builders on site and did not leave until they were sure that we understood the operating instructions for the wood burner.

I am very pleased with the quality of the installation and with the care that the installation team took with preparatory site visits, discussion of options and advice. The installation itself was very well carried out by a professional team, friendly, courteous and efficient. They left the site clean and we are delighted with the end result.

We are delighted with our new bespoke Bathstone fireplace which has replaced our old brick faced one and enhanced our sitting room. From the start we were impressed with the friendly, professional attitude of the team, which gave us the confidence to go ahead. Following a home visit to measure up and answer our questions, we visited the company's premises and re-assured, we placed the order. The 2 fitters turned up as planned, they were considerate and polite and did a really great job, firstly removing the old brick surround and then fitting the new Bathstone one. They kept the dust down to a minimum, were clean and tidy and cleared up and took away all the debris. They even moved the existing carbon monoxide alarm closer to the log burner, as they noticed it was sited too far away. In summary, a first class service and we would definitely recommend them.

Humphries Stonemasons must be up there as one of the best. We were delighted with their expertise, experience and top advice. We now also have an awesome log burner that we are thrilled with. What was better still was the dedication and commitment of the guys who installed it; they were so polite and really wanted to make sure they did their best to install it on time and within the decent budget agreed. Humphries installed the Jetmaster and stone fireplace approx. 15 years ago. I contracted them to upgrade the Jetmaster to a full wood burning stove which also required extensive modification to the stone fireplace and hearth. The work was undertaken and completed when scheduled and for the sum agreed. The highlights for me were the accuracy and completeness of the estimation process, being given sound advice on choice of stove and the installation itself. The whole room was protected by dust sheets and the team worked diligently to limit dust and dirt. The team of Oleg, Michael and Chris were a pleasure to have in the house and had the experience to overcome some difficulties in dropping in the flue liner. First class job!

Humphries removed an existing gas fire replacing it with a modern enclosed wood burning fire. The existing wooden surround was replaced with a bespoke stone surround, retaining the existing marble hearth and slip. We were offered a range of potential designs during a home visit and suitable wood burning stoves discussed to meet our needs. We were made aware that there would be a considerable delay due to the energy crisis causing a backlog in production of suitable fires. However we were contacted as soon a they became available and a mutually acceptable installation date was agreed. All aspects of the installion were carried out efficiently and with due consideration for us as customers. We were kept informed of progress as it proceeded, which occurred without any serious hitches. All was completed well within the period specified and completely to our satisfaction and we are very happy with the result. We have been offered a reduction in the original estimate as a potential difficulty was overcome more easily. We are very pleased with the professional and pleasant service throughout

The guys arrived on time, took great care to protect everything in the house, kept me in the picture with what they were doing, and cleaned up well afterwards. Good job. They were actually the most expensive of the quotes that I had, but I was impressed that they knew what they were doing, and I wanted peace of mind. I made the right choice.

We used Humphries in our previous home and did not hesitate to commission them again when we moved and required a new stove and fireplace. Outstanding workmanship and service, just as before. Faultless customer service and we couldn’t recommend Humphries highly enough from initial advice right through to onsite install.

I have used this firm before, to install a new flue and woodburner, and, in view of my satisfaction with the work accomplished, opted to use them again, to install another woodburner to replace the coal grate in our sitting room, and fit a flue liner into the chimney space. Everything was achieved with complete professionalism: communication, problem solving and standard of work. The job was completed within the time frame originally specified. I cannot recommend them enough.

We first had Humphries install stone worktops in our renovated kitchen about 4 years and we knew then what a great company they were. When we decided to install a woodburning stove and stone fireplace surround, we didn't bother to look anywhere else. The whole team, from Christine and Emily in the office to Chris and Oleg on site, have been amazing. We would not hesitate to recommend Barry and his team.

This is the third time I have had a Humphries installation. The first visit saw an old lounge fireplace being removed and updated with a splendid marble surround and traditional open grate fireplace. During the second visit, another old fireplace in the dining room was removed, and a free standing wood burner, installed. The most recent visit saw the lounge open grate being replaced with a very smart recessed wood burner to fit into the existing fireplace surround. The service on all three occasions was exemplary, the staff keeping us well informed and very friendly and professional.

Humphries did an excellent job installing a new tailor-made stone fireplace and woodburning stove. The job was completed with exemplary speed and efficiency and the team were charming and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody contemplating a similar project

Humphries Stonemasons rescued our situation and restored our faith in local small businesses. We had been let down by a different company, then quoted very high prices by two other companies who could not fit our new wood burning stove until June. Humphries saved the day. From the initial meeting, which was friendly and very helpful in answering all our questions, to the tips and advice given by the fitting team, the work could not have gone any better. The fitters were skilled and efficient. They just got on with the job and finished fitting the stove and chimney liner, then clearing up after only three hours. We were delighted that we had a stove that was fitted promptly, worked brilliantly, looked great and all for the cheapest quote by a substantial margin.

I would highly recommend Humphries if you are considering the installation of a wood burner. The advice we received on capacity required through to the new fireplace design was spot on. The installation was difficult due to concrete in the chimney base but the guys worked flat out to get it done as per schedule. At all times they treated our house with care and respect. The burner works incredibly well and does as we expected it too. I had one follow up snagging issue which they dealt with the next day. Highly recommend.

Humphries Stonemasons knocked out an existing fireplace, swept and lined the chimney and installed a freestanding stove in my home. This is the first time I've used them and right from the start, the team were friendly and welcoming. I even met the boss himself who has a wealth of knowledge and answered all my questions. We scheduled two days for the job which was completed on time and on budget. I couldn't ask for more than that. The onsite team were friendly, reliable and even helped me to move a heavy piece of furniture. They went over and above to clean up once the job was done, including wiping down my window sills. First class service!

Service was first class from start to finish. They helped select the right log burner, supplied at a competitive price and fitted on time and budget. A friendly fitting team that were knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and left no trace of having been in the house. Great to have such a good local company on our doorstep.
