This is a family run business with loyal employees who have worked for the company for many years. We found their standard of workmanship to be of very high quality and the external decoration of our house was carried out with great care, thoroughness and professionalism. The work was not rushed and the quality of the finish was extremely good. Communication was excellent, for example, we were told when scaffolding was to be erected and removed and this was done promptly. Pricing was competitive. We would highly recommend Ian Day Decorators and would use them again.

Ian and his team repainted our kitchen and den. They were meticulous in their work which involved painting over 30 cupboards and drawers and were very accommodating when we changed our minds about one of the colours. They turned up between 7.30 and 8 every day and left the house clean at the end of each day. I am really happy with the job they did and have recommended them to friends already. A great team.

Ian Day and his team have proved to be a very capable, honest and reliable firm of decorators. Ray, who was assigned to our job was ready to start work at 8 am every work day and took the utmost care with the quality and tidiness of his work, and decorated our home like it was his own. He also brought a treat for our German Shepherd, everyday, without fail, which meant he got a friend for life with this job! My wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending Ian Day' s decorating services to those requiring a competent company that specialise within their field of work.

Very efficient emailing back and sorting a date for the work. It was quite a small job and Ian completed it very promptly and I am pleased with the result. I got another quote for this job that came in at a lot more so I think Ian was good value.

I cannot recommend Ian Day's services enough. We have been let down a few times in the past, so were wary using a new decorator, but Ian was so professional, and very reliable. He managed to do the job with short notice. Our painter, Anthony, was polite and very clean and tidy. We are so impressed with the work carried out and will definitely be using Ian Day's services again. It's so reassuring to have found an excellent decorating company, who take pride in their work. The work undertaken by the company was of the highest quality. The amount quoted was the amount paid and there was a lot of help beforehand to ensure the right wallpaper etc was chosen. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and would use them again.

Ian was very quick to respond to all communication, even dropping in on a Sunday morning with Ray who was completing the work, as they were starting while I was away. I am extremely happy with the work. A good quality finish and great people to work with. I even added my kitchen ceiling to the work, which they were able to get completed in the same time frame. I would highly recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again. It was a pleasure to work with a company that were professional, friendly and trustworthy.

Re-decorated our main bedroom after a new en-suite shower room had been installed within. Also decorated the hallway and porch which has numerous doors leading off the hallway. Luke completed the work in a most methodical manner and the finish is excellent. Luke was also very helpful in taking down window blinds and helping to put them back up after the decoration was complete. He was a very tidy worker and proved to be very pleasant, courteous and reliable.

Paul recently painted our living room and made a beautiful job of pale slate walls and inky blue cupboards. His attention to detail is really impressive and they are very keen to get it right, which they did. Half way through I asked if it was possible to repaint a bathroom which had not been done very well. Luke came and repainted beautifully, quickly and efficiently. It has transformed it. Ian Day Decorators will now be my first choice every time.

Ian's son, Luke, painted our lounge, entrance hall, stairs and landing. His work was excellent, he was very tidy and he had a pleasant manner. I have no hesitation in recommending him to other people.

Hall, stairs and landings, including twelve doors. Paul did an excellent job, preparation was meticulous and the standard of work was very high. A very tidy workman who always arrived by 7.30 am and happy to leave him if we needed to go out.

We live in a one-bedroom flat and had asked Ian to quote for painting and decorating our bedroom and hall, We quoted for the work in November 2022 and we did tell him we would not want it done until August 2023 to which he agreed. He came to collect the keys a few days before we went away and went through the work to be done. He offered to move the heavy furniture out of the bedroom but declined saying I would do it myself. Also, any screws that were in the wall should be left in situ. When his team had completed the work he emailed a couple of photos to show what had been done. The work has been completed to a high standard and the bedroom and hall left clean and tidy. He has quoted for our diner/living room which we will have done in May next year. I would, without hesitation recommend him to anyone who asked.

Ian and his team did a phenomenal job. I went on holiday but needed to get the place redecorated as it was a rental and left Ian and his team to do the work. When I came back the work was really good, and the site had been cleaned to a high standard. Ian’s quote was competitive. Ian also helped me match the existing wall colour in the property which worked out really well as I was painting the hallway but not the rooms. The work was done within the agreed schedule and budget. Ian is professional and very helpful. Communication was very good.

Our exterior paintwork (windows, front door, porch, wall etc) was in a bad state and Ian's team have completely transformed it. After a number of problems finding and dealing with local tradesmen, I couldn't recommend Ian's team more highly. They were on time, kept to the quote and the quality of what they have done looks great. They also haven't cut corners and it has all been done to a high standard. Many thanks.
