From the positive reviews in Which? I asked IJ Heating (Ian) to quote for installing an unvented hot water cylinder to replace the old open system, and I am glad I did. Not only was the quote reasonable but all my dealings with Ian turned out to be a refreshing experience and to the high standard one hopes they should be. Ian is a professional, punctual, diligent worker who completes the job to a high standard and as promised. As others have said, his energy and thoroughness is very impressive and comes properly equipped to carry out the task in the most efficient manner and to cause us the minimum of inconvenience.

Ian has completed a few jobs for me now and his work is always exemplary. He is trust worthy, reliable and always cleans up after himself. This time he fitted a hive thermostat, replaced some radiator valves and gave the boiler a service.

Always great service, price is always as agreed, works are always clean and tidy. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

The work to replace a central heating boiler and some additional heating controls, plus radiators was completed very efficiently to a very good standard. Some minor technical issues involving pipework alterations were completed as part of the overall task. Site was left clean and tidy, with everything reinstated as necessary.

I have used Ian to fit a new gas boiler and to disconnect gas and reconnect it when I had a new kitchen fitted. In addition Ian sorted out the new plumbing in my kitchen. Today he has given my boiler an annual service. The standard of work is always superb. The work is completed on a timely manor and no mess afterwards. All the necessary paperwork is given. Nothing is too much trouble. I have no hesitation in recommending this company for any plumbing/ gas work required.

We needed a new boiler and hot water tank and were conscious that because of the age and idiosyncrasies of our house the job might not be completely straightforward. We therefore took time to choose an installer who took great care to survey the house and the existing system carefully and recognised the key issues to be dealt with before submitting his quote. Ian offered a very complete and competitive offer and was clearly efficient and well organised. In completing all of the work precisely to schedule he showed that we had made a very good choice of installer. He is pleasant, polite and very professional and was absolutely scrupulous in making sure that the new system was optimised. Had a fault code on a boiler the another company tried to fix 3 times to no avail. Ian knew exactly what it was, had the part bought and problem solved in a few hours. Excellent work.

We asked Ian to check our old boiler which had packed up. He gave it a very thorough examination before giving his opinion and our options. He also managed to get it working again which was a bonus considering we know it's on its' last legs. He worked neatly and efficiently and also gave us some valuable safety advice regarding carbon dioxide detectors. Overall we were very pleased with his service and will certainly use him again.

We recently used IJ heating to install and replace some new radiators in our home. Ian was very professional throughout and gave us good advise, which we ended up taking. The price was competitive and the work was done to a high standard, whilst care was taken to protect our flooring. Overall an excellent experience and would definitely use again in the future.

I contacted Ian about replacing my conventional old boiler and installing a Combi boiler. He gave me a very competitive quote and date to install. My heating system was very complex and by no means straightforward and a lot of alterations had to be made. He completed the work ahead of schedule, was very professional throughout, his work was excellent, also very clean and tidy. Ian and his colleague were very polite and a pleasure to have. I had a complete system change from an old heat only open vented cylinder with a tank in the loft and 3 days later I have a new boiler in a new location including zone valves magna clean, a new unvented cylinder, all cold taps on mains and a tone of pipe work. Extremely hard work who knows what his doing. This is my second boiler installed by IJ heating, who installed one in my old house. I wouldn’t have anyone else.

I contacted Ian via mobile and from the get go he was pleasant friendly and very prompt in getting back to me via e-mail with an appointment the same week. Works carried out: Set thermostat temperature, vented radiators and balanced the system. I would highly recommend Ian for all heating related issues and won't hesitate to contact him n future. Our apartment had been empty for some months and when we moved in the central heating was working but only sporadically. One heating engineer came, replaced the timer but this failed to cure the problem. A more experienced engineer came, replaced a valve which had become stuck through under-use and this appeared to improve matters. However, once we had a new bathroom installed a new towel rail only heated up partially. We decided, when we thought it wise to have the CH given a pre-winter check, to use Which Magazine's "Trusted Traders" scheme which highly recommended Ian's company. We made an appointment and then had to re-schedule it. Ian very politely agreed to come at a later date. Ian arrived on the dot, systematically checked out the whole system and identified the fault which previous professionals had failed to locate. On finishing he completed a very detailed report outlining what he had done. Excellent!

We had a small gas leak. Ian replaced underfloor piping to resolve the issue. We found Ian extremely helpful, polite and would highly recommend him to others.

I used IJ Heating & Gas Ltd to fix a Valiant boiler breakdown, Ian arrived at short notice and the service was prompt and reasonably priced. He replaced the diverter, filling loop and PCB board and did a great job. I would highly recommend this Ian and will continue to use his services if needed.

Ian provided a very quick and professional service from the first phone call through to the completed job. I used this company to install a new boiler for my central heating. From start to finish the service I received was first class. Very competitive price! Nothing was too much trouble. The boiler is fantastic. The fitter left no mess everything was clean and tidy and all rubbish was disposed off. Excellent company I intend to use them to replace some radiators.
