A great firm that I have used for at least 9 years. Fast, brilliant service from professionals who take care to ensure that all mess is cleaned up before they leave and are polite and knowledgeable about their products and services. They replaced the boiler in a day at a very competitive price and when there was an issue they came back in a couple of days to sort it out with no fuss. Brilliant. Found a heating engineer online who actually came!! After many phone calls to others, waiting in for a no-show on four occasions, no phone calls either to explain. Came across Illustrious Plumbing and Heating. Gave a date just a few days away. Very professional communications, both email and phone. Kept me informed of arrival times and the work was very thorough. Now going ahead with bathroom fittings after getting a most acceptable quote. Can’t wait to work with Craig again.

Craig arrived on time and as usual, was very proficient in the way he went about the service. We have been using since the end of 2016 when he installed a new Worcester boiler. He has carried out the yearly servicing sine then and also completed several other plumbing job aroud the house. I would, without hesitation, recommend him to anyone who requires a friendly, competent plumber/gas engineer.

Excellent experience of using Craig and Illustrious Plumbing. I was able to upload photos of the issue and was promptly sent a quotation. Once we booked the appointment, the communication was great and we were reminded and kept informed of an approximate time of arrival. The issue was fixed according to the quotation and a possible explanation of the cause was given to help avoid future issues. Really pleased I consulted Which? I needed my gas boiler servicing and wanted a reliable plumber to set up an annual service. The response to my initial phone call was quick and an appointment was scheduled for about 10 days later. I was relieved that it was fairly soon as it was winter. The arrangements were made clear in the call and soon after by both email and text, followed up with reminders shortly before the appointment, including on the morning of the service. The team arrived punctually, the work done efficiently and the area left tidy. Craig explained clearly what had been done and gave useful advice about the guarantee. The service was very good value, it was cheaper than my previous one carried out a year earlier. I valued their efficiency and excellent communication and will certainly recommend Illustrious to friends and family.

Replace boiler with Worcester combi boiler
The old boiler was 19yrs old and had become very temperamental with the temperature control. Craig recommended a Worcester Combi Boiler to replace the old unit,including a Comfort+11 RF control unit. I chose Craig because of his prompt action to look at the old boiler and that he was local. He was good at communicating the actions needed and started work on the day specified The work was carried out efficiently with the minimum of fuss and to a high standard of cleanliness. We now have to get to grips with the wireless control unit!

I urgently needed a new boiler fitting after my old boiler gave up the ghost over Christmas. Craig managed to source the boiler and fit it within a couple of days. The quote was very reasonable, and the work was carried out in an afternoon to a high standard. There was a problem with the garage roof, which affected the installation of the flue, but Craig arranged for a roofer to attend and resolve the issue. I have used Illustrious Plumbing for a number of years and have always found the service provided excellent. Craig is very reliable, professional and does a great job. Would recommend to anyone needing heating and plumbing services in the Chester area.

Craig installed my boiler in March 2019 and has serviced it every year since .There have been 2 occasions when it needed attention and each time Craig was very quick to respond. The latest was when the thermostat broke 2 days before I went on holiday and Craig sourced and installed a new one the next day. He is always reliable and efficient and sends plenty of information about the timing of his visits etc.

Craig & his team originally installed my boiler. They are very professional and helpful, so was very happy to ask them back to service the boiler. Craig is also repairing a stand-alone bath tap for me, having advised that this is far less expensive than simply replacing it. Great service and excellent work. Highly recommend.
