After getting serval quotes for a local removal company, and filtering out "man in a van" to the extortionate, and those who added costs for everything, we finally found In-Excess Removals Ltd. The quotation process was really simple and clear, no hidden costs. A call with the team, followed by a video call walk through of the house and that afternoon we received the quotation, all costs clearly defined, what was included and what was not, was simple to follow. Their box hiring service is fantastic (and their tape actually held the boxes together!) and a great environmental initiative. On the day they arrived on time, got started straight away and by lunchtime our 3 bedroom house was all loaded up and ready to go, by 330pm that same afternoon we were in the new house, to be fair the new house was only 3 miles away. Such an amazing service, professional team, they couldn't do enough for us. The team went the extra mile with no hesitation, friendly, polite and extremely conscientious, ensuring that everything was where we needed it to be before they left. The operations team were as equally amazing, on what is possible one of the most stressful days of your life In-Excess Removals go a long way to make it easier. I would highly recommend them, its great to support local family businesses and these guys did not disappoint!

In-Excess Removals were simply brilliant. From the initial quote survey, through the whole stressful process of will we/won’t we complete, to moving day itself, they were absolutely fantastic (and very calming!). The quote (we got several) was clear and detailed, and we felt that we were in the hands of experienced professionals who know exactly what they are doing. They provided us with all of the boxes, tape, paper and bubble wrap that we needed to pack up our precious belongings. I couldn’t believe how quickly everything was loaded onto the trucks, and then unloaded at our new home, 60 miles away. Yet this was all done with such care. The guys on the day were polite, friendly and good humoured, which was lovely. They were very careful and respectful of our old home, and our new one. There wasn’t a single breakage, and all of the boxes went to exactly the right rooms. If we ever have to move again, we will be asking In-Excess to move us.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. From the initial quote, from the communication to completion, down to the packing and transport on the day - they were lovely to deal with. I felt reassured throughout the process, everyone was so friendly and we felt that our big day was in safe hands. They removed a lot of the stress that comes with moving. I recommend the packing service, which again, removed a lot of the stress from the whole process. I am so happy we chose this company, and whilst I hope not to move again for a good few years they would be the only company I would consider for my next move.

I just want to say thanks to Percy, Terry and John. They worked really hard to make things happen on time and to make our move easier. They were efficient and very professional. This is the second time I have used In Excess removals, I booked them again following a very smooth and professional move in 2010. They didn’t disappoint, very friendly, helpful staff both in office and the van crew. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, I wouldn’t use anyone else. 10/10

In-Excess recently completed our house move for us and we were delighted with their service. Their quote was competitive, they were extremely helpful throughout the move, providing boxes and materials as soon as we booked and happily answering questions whenever we thought of them. We chose to do the packing ourselves and the removals team were friendly, polite, very efficient and dissembled and reassembled our large furniture as necessary. The move went very smoothly, everything was well looked after and the boxes collected soon after we’d finished unpacking. In-Excess were recommended to us by a friend and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them ourselves.

We recently used in excess removals for our move from a four bedroom house. They provided as many packing materials as required at no extra cost which was great. The office team were also so helpful when our completion date kept changing last minute to ensure we could secure a removals team for the day we needed. The team on move day were brilliant. The guys had so much energy and did the whole move with a smile. They were so professional and we were so impressed with how quickly and efficiently they worked. We asked In Excess to help us at short notice ( less than 2 weeks) to move us from a second home in Dorset and to distribute contents to three different addresses in the Berkhamsted /Tring area. They arrived on time, worked tirelessly during a really hot day to pack us up in Dorset and then deliver to the three addresses next day. Excellent experience from the beginning to end. Shenda in the office was really professional, helpful and friendly. When I asked for moving quotes, I was bombarded with emails and phonecalls from other providers, but with In-Excess they gave me time to process the info given, not pushy at all. The quote was accurate, no hidden charges. On the day the two guys arrived on time and were brilliant, friendly and patient. The total day went far beyond my expectations. Could not be happier. We recently engaged In Excess when moving from Hertfordshire to Oxfordshire. Without exception, the men were courteous, friendly and professional and we would have no hesitation in recommending them. In our opinion they quoted a fair and reasonable price and they took great care when packing and moving our belongings.

From the moment I rang them for a quote, I just knew I had chosen the right company to move me to my new home. Being an older lady living alone, this process was very daunting. But nothing was too much trouble for them, from supplying the correct quantity of packing materials right through to the move day which went without a hitch.

In Excess couldn't have been more helpful from the initial enquiry to the last minute of the actual moving day. Their staff are all cheerful, experienced and well trained with a can-do attitude which was a refreshing change from previous local removal companies we have used. They say that moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do but In Excess made the whole process smooth and as stress free as possible. From the first visit to quote for the work to the booking once I had my completion date to the packing to the move itself, I really cannot fault In Excess. The price was very competitive and there were no hidden extras on the day. Dean and Bradley came to pack everything very efficiently and very professionally the day before the move and were so courteous, reassuring and polite. They returned the following day with Terry and the three of them quickly loaded the trucks and then once we had the keys quickly unloaded the boxes and furniture at my new property. It could have been such a difficult and stressful day but I knew I was in safe hands and it all went incredibly smoothly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company.

Hardworking, quick and friendly team of movers who packed us up and placed every box and piece of furniture exactly where we wanted it in our new home. Shenda and the office team were so helpful when obtaining a quote and any issues are resolved professionally and courteously. We found In-Excess were competitively priced and excellent at communicating availability during the conveyancing process.

We found moving home to be a very long and, in our case, arduous road. Then along came In-Excess. By the time the guys arrived to load the lorries we were shattered, but they made sure we didn't have to lift a finger from that point on, always chirpy and positive but professional in a way that we knew our possessions were in safe hands. The delivery to Norfolk was just as efficient. In spite of the distance they arrived early and cracked on relentlessly until everything was in the new house. In the office too, the girls were efficient and helpful. When they said they'd call back, they did so promptly. Lee was methodical on the logistics side as we had potentially difficult access restrictions but we needn't have worried.

I just had to say what a great service I received from start to finish. I had to have all my house contents in Hertfordshire put into storage for 5 months. The guys who moved me out of my house were very helpful and made the process very straightforward. Once I had moved down to the South Coast I arrange for the return out of storage which was equally as easy. With a small entrance, I was amazed that they got all my furniture through the gap. Everything was put where I asked and not one thing was broken. Very impressed with a very good and trustworthy removal and storage company. 10/10

Got the job done! Brilliant service from this in-excess down to the excellent skills at driving too as my road was very narrow and curved. Navigated the large removals Lorry round. Got to work immediately, three men on the job and we’re done and dusted in no time. We met again at the other end in the new house and even the rain didn’t stop these guys. Would certainly recommend in-excess!

We downsized and moved house from a 4 bedroom to a 3 bedroom Bungalow at the beginning of March, we asked InExcess to manage the process and we couldn’t have asked for a better service. From the first meeting we had to the aftercare once we had moved in, InExcess were punctual, reliable, willing and went above and beyond the call of duty.
