In-Excess were amazing from start to finish. We had a tight exchange/completion window and they were supportive and clear with everything we needed to do. We also had a packer for the day who was absolutely incredible - Brad - thank you! Special thanks to Gareth who was just a calming influence on the day. Nothing was too much trouble and they were super fast with everything. Though we won't be moving again I would hands down never use anyone else other than these guys. Professional, polite and hard working - will always recommend :)

I would most certainly recommend In-Excess for their removal services. They have a great and supportive team, initially I was reassured by the quoting process, and felt confident that they had given me a good price. They were supportive over the phone for the months leading up to the move and considerate of all the delays with my sale! They gave me more than enough boxes to use. The guys were on time on the day and kept me calm throughout, they were quick to get everything moved, took good care, and also put everything in place at my next property. Was very impressed with the service indeed.

We had 2 removals, 1 week apart both from the South to the North. Both moves went exceptionally smoothly. Both sets of removal teams were extremely professional and friendly. Great packing too. Super quick. Could not fault. Highly recommend. Very reasonable on cost.

There wasn't much about my recent move that didn't need to happen within very short timeframes, but In-Excess - who I've used before - were patient, upfront and really lovely to work with despite the moving goalposts. The movers are amazing – so fast, efficient, friendly and really good at what they do. I appreciated how they put the boxes in the right places, and made smart pathways so that nothing was blocked. I've had movers in the past who've dumped boxes in the most illogical places, so I really appreciated that I could get to where I needed without having to move boxes around. All the costs were provided, and there were no hidden charges. I would choose In-Excess again in a heartbeat, they're great!

We contacted them just two weeks before our moving date as our previous removals company had let us down. They were prompt and professional and had us signed up after a zoom that afternoon at our property to gauge a quote. That afternoon we had all the packaging we required delivered and the next day everything in writing. As our moving day was a fairly big one from South to North it was performed over two days. The staff arrived on time and were very courteous and professional and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our furniture was packed safely and securely. It was taken to be stored overnight and then they arrived the next day again on time with the same professionalism and all furniture promptly and safely delivered. Both my husband and I have no hesitation in recommending this family-run removals company, they allowed our move to run smoothly and stress-free.

Thank you to the team who did a 2-day removal for us from Tring to Edwinstowe. Initially, a team of four loaded the lorry carefully and conscientiously. They were very friendly, hard-working and good-humoured throughout. The same day Gareth and Brad drove the lorry to our new home to offload some and then reliably met us at the door in the morning at the agreed time. What made this company stand out was that both Gareth and Brad made the removals the least stressful experience of the moving process! Would highly recommend it. Thanks guys.

The three guys who moved us provided a great service throughout the day. They handled our belongings carefully and were friendly and courteous. Despite having some challenges gaining access to our new property which caused quite a delay, they were understanding and worked really hard to make up the lost time. We were returning customers to In-Excess as they moved us in 2009, and they were brilliant again in 2021. They moved us smoothly and professionally to the agreed schedule but were still flexible as some stuff had to go to storage, this was all done without any issues whatsoever. From start to finish, Steve, Shenda, Louise and the team were absolutely brilliant. We used them to remove our furniture and personal effects from our house in Berkhamsted, store everything for about 7 months then move us into our new home in Lymington. Unlike another reviewer, our experience of their handling of a relatively small insurance claim was first-rate. Highly recommended!

It is always said that one of the most stressful things in life is moving home and whilst I never wish to again I cannot recommend highly enough Steve and his team. We had several delayed exchanges because of legal problems but the operations team would always bend over backwards to accommodate the move of 2 properties into 1 (and possibly but luckily not, into storage). When it eventually came to the move the packers were careful, friendly and considering of the need to live overnight in the property. The movers were hard working, friendly and could not do enough to oblige even when changing minds as to whether a box should be on the ground or second floor. The staff of In Excess show a strong loyalty to their organisation and are a credit to them. Highly recommended.

I was very anxious about moving house but from the moment Steve Yates arrived to give estimate things became so much easier. On the day the team of three, Shenda, Jordan and Team Leader Lee took care of everything! They were very professional, yet friendly, courteous and extremely hard working. I was downsizing and the house size (plus the parking arrangements) caused several problems that I assumed could not be solved; I was so wrong, the ingenious methods they came up with to get large pieces of furniture up a very narrow staircase amazed me!!!! I would certainly recommend this company and it was nice to know that you were supporting a local family business. Thank you again In-Excess. Definitely 5-star service.
