In-Excess packed and moved us to our new home in April and I couldn't have asked them to be better - friendly, helpful, reliable, efficient, considerate and great value. Thanks to the whole team for making the experience so positive.

We checked this company out using various reviews - and they fully justified the positive ratings they have received in the past. Following the initial quote, the packaging was provided quickly and they arrived, on time, to both remove and then unload items at our house 100 miles away. Good communication and friendly / helpful throughout. They made a tricky experience as stress free as possible. Highly recommended

In-Excess were very helpful, from the time of visiting to give a (very competitive) quote, to completion of our move. We chose to pack ourselves, and lots of advice was given re how to pack awkward and fragile items. The move was done over 2 days, outdoor and garage things on day one in 2 large box vans, and the house contents in one HUGE van on completion day. They provided seemingly unlimited boxes, paper, tape and bubble wrap in the weeks leading up to our move. The girls in the office were so helpful and reassuring especially when others in our chain repeatedly changed completion date. The team of men who moved us were fabulous!! A massive thank you to them, they were fast, efficient, patient and in good humour all day- nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend In-Excess and wouldn't hesitate in using them again if ever we decided to move again.

I can’t fault the team at In-Excess, everything was made easy at every step. I was really nervous about our move, we only had a 7 day period between exchange and completion, but that wasn’t a problem. On the moving day, the guys emptied our entire 2 bed flat within a couple hours, and unloading went even faster. Great team, 100% would recommend!

Almost 10 years to the day since In-Excess last moved our family home - they moved us again. This time we had more belongings and we were glad that In-Excess did the packing for us. Despite the additional challenges of COVID-19 our move was handled professionally and with the care and attention we would expect. I would not hesitate to recommend the In-Excess team, perhaps we'll need them again in 10 years time!

In Excess removals were fantastic to deal with from start to finish. Great customer service, very friendly team and very hard working. We used their full packing service which was reasonably priced, they packed everything well and quickly the day before our move and the team on the move day worked around us so well given that we have 2 small children. Everything was well packed and moved carefully so nothing was damaged or lost. Would highly recommend them to anyone moving house.

From the very start of the process the staff were extremely professional, efficient, friendly and helpful. I was not looking forward to moving but the office team did their upmost to make it go as smoothly as possible. On move day itself, Gareth and the guys were just amazing. They were friendly, super helpful and extremely hard working, enduring a late finish. I can't thank you all enough for making my move less stressful. You are a great team! Dan, Neil and Freddie were excellent, they were professional and extremely respectful of our property. They were efficient and very helpful. We had the full packing service and it was worth every penny it took the stress out of packing a three bedroom house. We moved over 180 miles to our new home and everything was packaged very well we couldn’t be more happy with the service we received. Also Steve was the only person who came out to the house in person to assess the cost of the move, other companies would not come out and couldn’t guarantee the price but In-Excess knew exactly what was required to provide a competitive price. Louise was fantastic when we rang the office, friendly service and a pleasure to speak to. A first class service from start to finish a great company and staff that care.

From start to finish, Steve, Shenda, Louise and the team were absolutely brilliant. We used them to remove our furniture and personal effects from our house in Berkhamsted, store everything for about 7 months then move us into our new home in Lymington. Unlike another reviewer, our experience of their handling of a relatively small insurance claim was first-rate. Highly recommended!

Thank you to the team who did a 2-day removal for us from Tring to Edwinstowe. Initially, a team of four loaded the lorry carefully and conscientiously. They were very friendly, hard-working and good-humoured throughout. The same day Gareth and Brad drove the lorry to our new home to offload some and then reliably met us at the door in the morning at the agreed time. What made this company stand out was that both Gareth and Brad made the removals the least stressful experience of the moving process! Would highly recommend it. Thanks guys.

There wasn't much about my recent move that didn't need to happen within very short timeframes, but In-Excess - who I've used before - were patient, upfront and really lovely to work with despite the moving goalposts. The movers are amazing – so fast, efficient, friendly and really good at what they do. I appreciated how they put the boxes in the right places, and made smart pathways so that nothing was blocked. I've had movers in the past who've dumped boxes in the most illogical places, so I really appreciated that I could get to where I needed without having to move boxes around. All the costs were provided, and there were no hidden charges. I would choose In-Excess again in a heartbeat, they're great!

In-Excess recently completed our house move for us and we were delighted with their service. Their quote was competitive, they were extremely helpful throughout the move, providing boxes and materials as soon as we booked and happily answering questions whenever we thought of them. We chose to do the packing ourselves and the removals team were friendly, polite, very efficient and dissembled and reassembled our large furniture as necessary. The move went very smoothly, everything was well looked after and the boxes collected soon after we’d finished unpacking. In-Excess were recommended to us by a friend and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them ourselves.

In-Excess packed our things and moved us from Hertfordshire to Bedfordshire. Everything about the process was really smooth, from the quote (by video call) to agreeing the move date. The team in the office were really helpful and the packers and movers were very quick, efficient and friendly. Moving is always trickier for me as I have a chronic illness but the team were really understanding that I might need a quiet place to rest during the day, which was a big relief. We've moved several times in recent years using various companies, including cross-border, and In-Excess are definitely the best we have found.

Shenda and the boys were brilliant from start to finish. We went for the packing service which saved us so much time and effort. The boys came and packed everything up on the Friday and then moved everything (and us!) on the Monday. The boys were polite, helpful and hard-working during the whole process and Shenda was always just a phone call away if we needed anything. In-Excess Removals helped us move our home. Right from quote to return of boxes (after move) they were fantastic. Their quote was very competitive and reasonable. Excellent experience from the beginning to end. Shenda in the office was really professional, helpful and friendly. When I asked for moving quotes, I was bombarded with emails and phonecalls from other providers, but with In-Excess they gave me time to process the info given, not pushy at all. The quote was accurate, no hidden charges. On the day the two guys arrived on time and were brilliant, friendly and patient. The total day went far beyond my expectations. Could not be happier. A friend recommended In Excess to me while I was doing the usual and getting quotes for a recent house move. A recommendation goes a long way in my view and In Excess did not disappoint. From the initial telephone conversation with Steve, through the quote, done the way you prefer ( I prefer face to face as they’re the experienced ones and need to see how much stuff you’ve actually got), to the final move. Steve couldn't be more accommodating at the quote process. Dawn, Shenda and the office team were great in helping me secure a date when I exchanged contracts. Danny, Daniel and Riley were with me on move day they were great. It was a stressful day and they made it smooth. The banter between the guys was brilliant.
