The move was discussed and the date for moving changed many times due to other factors. It was easy to make contact and check with them, and the move went smoothly as far as the physical transport of our contents was concerned. We would always be happy to recommend Steve and his crew for any home removals.

It is always said that one of the most stressful things in life is moving home and whilst I never wish to again I cannot recommend highly enough Steve and his team. We had several delayed exchanges because of legal problems but the operations team would always bend over backwards to accommodate the move of 2 properties into 1 (and possibly but luckily not, into storage). When it eventually came to the move the packers were careful, friendly and considering of the need to live overnight in the property. The movers were hard working, friendly and could not do enough to oblige even when changing minds as to whether a box should be on the ground or second floor. The staff of In Excess show a strong loyalty to their organisation and are a credit to them. Highly recommended.

From the very start of the process the staff were extremely professional, efficient, friendly and helpful. I was not looking forward to moving but the office team did their upmost to make it go as smoothly as possible. On move day itself, Gareth and the guys were just amazing. I was very anxious about moving house but from the moment Steve Yates arrived to give estimate things became so much easier. On the day the team of three, Shenda, Jordan and Team Leader Lee took care of everything! They were very professional, yet friendly, courteous and extremely hard working. I was downsizing and the house size (plus the parking arrangements) caused several problems that I assumed could not be solved; I was so wrong, the ingenious methods they came up with to get large pieces of furniture up a very narrow staircase amazed me!!!! I would certainly recommend this company and it was nice to know that you were supporting a local family business. Thank you again In-Excess. Definitely 5-star service.

We contacted In Excess for our move and cannot fault the service they provided. They were extremely professional from start to finish, and nothing was too much for them. The team in the office were very helpful and friendly responding to all of my enquiries, and the removal team on the day were superb!! In-Excess provided the type of service that one only imagines still exists. They were incredibly supportive and flexible in finding a way to help at very short notice. When out move was then split into two separate moves they were not remotely flustered and quickly found an extremely helpful and effective solution. On and prior to the move dates the entire team were extremely helpful, always cheerful and took very good care of us as a customer and of all our belongings. Nothing was too much trouble and they took care of us, communicating clearly and consistently at all times making our move process as stress free as possible. I could not recommend them more highly, thank you so very much.

Dan, Neil and Freddie were excellent, they were professional and extremely respectful of our property. They were efficient and very helpful. We had the full packing service and it was worth every penny it took the stress out of packing a three bedroom house. We moved over 180 miles to our new home and everything was packaged very well we couldn’t be more happy with the service we received. Also Steve was the only person who came out to the house in person to assess the cost of the move, other companies would not come out and couldn’t guarantee the price but In-Excess knew exactly what was required to provide a competitive price. Louise was fantastic when we rang the office, friendly service and a pleasure to speak to. A first class service from start to finish a great company and staff that care.

This was our 4th move in 5 years and was, without doubt, the best by a long way. From start to finish, In Excess Removals dealt with us in a friendly and professional manner and provided a first class service at a very reasonable price. Due to circumstances we had a very limited date window for our move, but from the very first phone call with Shanda I was put at ease, Steve did a very comprehensive survey in person and at very short notice. During exchange of contracts there was a problem in the chain, but Louise was very helpful and calming. Our move was over a 3 day period (due to size of load and distance moved) and involved two lorries. Roadworks outside of our house and not having a drive large enough to take the lorry did not help. However Freddie and his team were excellent, they were all cheerful and worked hard loading all of our stuff, but were very careful and we had no damages. The unloading at our new home went like clockwork, we were amazed at how fast these boys could move and despite us occasionally changing our minds as to where boxes were to go they were still talking to us at the end of the day!!! Throughout the whole experience In-Excess were very professional, courteous and made the move stress free for us. We would definitely recommend them.

Almost 10 years to the day since In-Excess last moved our family home - they moved us again. This time we had more belongings and we were glad that In-Excess did the packing for us. Despite the additional challenges of COVID-19 our move was handled professionally and with the care and attention we would expect. I would not hesitate to recommend the In-Excess team, perhaps we'll need them again in 10 years time!

the team were fantastic from the people in the office to the people doing the job, couldn't do enough to help. super helpful and efficient and all-knowing in their field, the whole moving thing is stressful but this was the one area that ran smoothly.

In Excess removals were fantastic to deal with from start to finish. Great customer service, very friendly team and very hard working. We used their full packing service which was reasonably priced, they packed everything well and quickly the day before our move and the team on the move day worked around us so well given that we have 2 small children. Everything was well packed and moved carefully so nothing was damaged or lost. Would highly recommend them to anyone moving house.

I would highly recommend In Excess removals. I was particularly impressed and grateful for their response to the Covid19 situation i.e. offering constant re-assurance in the face of moving completion dates and on-going uncertainty, as well as allowing one free re-booking during the height of the pandemic. From the moment we contacted In-Excess Removals Shenda quickly responded with further information and set up a video consultation. She was very helpful and proactive so we felt in good hands. On the day Ricky and Dan were very professional and went the extra mile to ensure everything went smoothly on the day. We would recommend them to anyone looking for an efficient service when moving house.

I can’t fault the team at In-Excess, everything was made easy at every step. I was really nervous about our move, we only had a 7 day period between exchange and completion, but that wasn’t a problem. On the moving day, the guys emptied our entire 2 bed flat within a couple hours, and unloading went even faster. Great team, 100% would recommend!

In-Excess were very helpful, from the time of visiting to give a (very competitive) quote, to completion of our move. We chose to pack ourselves, and lots of advice was given re how to pack awkward and fragile items. The move was done over 2 days, outdoor and garage things on day one in 2 large box vans, and the house contents in one HUGE van on completion day. They provided seemingly unlimited boxes, paper, tape and bubble wrap in the weeks leading up to our move. The girls in the office were so helpful and reassuring especially when others in our chain repeatedly changed completion date. The team of men who moved us were fabulous!! A massive thank you to them, they were fast, efficient, patient and in good humour all day- nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend In-Excess and wouldn't hesitate in using them again if ever we decided to move again.

Following the initial quote, the packaging was provided quickly and they arrived, on time, to both remove and then unload items at our house 100 miles away.
