In-Excess were amazing from start to finish. We had a tight exchange/completion window and they were supportive and clear with everything we needed to do. We also had a packer for the day who was absolutely incredible - Brad - thank you! Special thanks to Gareth who was just a calming influence on the day. Nothing was too much trouble and they were super fast with everything. Though we won't be moving again I would hands down never use anyone else other than these guys. Professional, polite and hard working - will always recommend :)

We downsized and moved house from a 4 bedroom to a 3 bedroom Bungalow at the beginning of March, we asked InExcess to manage the process and we couldn’t have asked for a better service. From the first meeting we had to the aftercare once we had moved in, InExcess were punctual, reliable, willing and went above and beyond the call of duty. We couldn’t recommend InExcess removals enough.

They say that moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do but In Excess made the whole process smooth and as stress free as possible. From the first visit to quote for the work to the booking once I had my completion date to the packing to the move itself, I really cannot fault In Excess. The price was very competitive and there were no hidden extras on the day. Dean and Bradley came to pack everything very efficiently and very professionally the day before the move and were so courteous, reassuring and polite. They returned the following day with Terry and the three of them quickly loaded the trucks and then once we had the keys quickly unloaded the boxes and furniture at my new property. It could have been such a difficult and stressful day but I knew I was in safe hands and it all went incredibly smoothly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company.

From the moment I rang them for a quote, I just knew I had chosen the right company to move me to my new home. Being an older lady living alone, this process was very daunting. But nothing was too much trouble for them, from supplying the correct quantity of packing materials right through to the move day which went without a hitch.

From Shenda’s personable communication and the guys that completed our removal, we couldn’t be happier with the service that In-excess provided. We recently engaged In Excess when moving from Hertfordshire to Oxfordshire. Without exception, the men were courteous, friendly and professional and we would have no hesitation in recommending them. In our opinion they quoted a fair and reasonable price and they took great care when packing and moving our belongings.

We asked In Excess to help us at short notice ( less than 2 weeks) to move us from a second home in Dorset and to distribute contents to three different addresses in the Berkhamsted /Tring area. They arrived on time, worked tirelessly during a really hot day to pack us up in Dorset and then deliver to the three addresses next day. My initial enquiry was handled very well and I received my quote very quickly due to a tight completion date. The movers on the day were professional and friendly. Great workmanship. Can not fault this company, would recommend.

We recently used in excess removals for our move from a four bedroom house. They provided as many packing materials as required at no extra cost which was great. The office team were also so helpful when our completion date kept changing last minute to ensure we could secure a removals team for the day we needed. The team on move day were brilliant. The guys had so much energy and did the whole move with a smile. They were so professional and we were so impressed with how quickly and efficiently they worked. This is the second time I have used In Excess removals, I booked them again following a very smooth and professional move in 2010. They didn’t disappoint, very friendly, helpful staff both in office and the van crew. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, I wouldn’t use anyone else. 10/10

When I knew I was going to move, I asked locally for recommendations… I am so pleased I did. InExcess, from the start to the finish, were absolutely fantastic. From the initial call for a quote right through the whole process, nothing was too much trouble, no question or query was too bothersome to answer. They, in my opinion, were very fairly priced, they offer the option of supplying boxes, which arrived soooo promptly, as did all the bubble wrap and paper. The chaps on the day were so good, respectful of the property, absolute professionals, only one piece of glass in a picture frame was broken, and that was my fault as I dropped it! 😂 they were not just efficient prior and on move day…. Once I had unpacked the boxes, they came and collected them, on the same day I called I believe it was…. From the ladies in the office who man the phones to the chap who collected the boxes and everyone in between, absolutely cracking company, would I recommend them, 💯 %. Thank you ☺️

Fantastic service undertaken by all. From the point we had our video survey to price the job, right through to the last box lifted from the truck, the service has been exceptional. We had a difficult chain, and ended up exchanging very late on a Monday, with completion on the Tuesday. Shenda got the truck and movers booked and sorted, and the guys were there right on time. Chris and Matt were lovely fellas, who were respectful of carpets and belongings, and did a super fast and efficient job. We couldn't ask for more, and I will be recommending these guys where I can.

We used In-Excess to move house from Leighton Buzzard to Saffron Walden and from the initial enquiry to the last telephone call, everyone we dealt with was great. Shenda is amazing, answering all my questions about the move process and she completely put my mind at ease during a rather stressful completion day! This was the third time we have used In-Excess for moving house over an eight year period. We had a delay with our purchase, which meant that we had to use storage for about a week, but the company was very helpful, and managed to get us moved successfully. This was in spite of the level of activity at the end of March 2025 owing to the changes in Stamp Duty levels.

We were moving to a new county with packing services included, which we’ve not had before. From the moment we contacted the company we felt we were in good hands. Extremely professional throughout, Shenda in the office was always friendly and helpful and accommodating to our particular circumstances. The team that packed and moved us over two days were excellent, checking what was to be left out and what was to be packed. They were really careful with our things and super efficient, got everything done much quicker than I’d anticipated. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Efficient quotation and admin, friendly helpful staff in the office. On the big move day everything went smoothly with no fuss. Mattresses covered, beds disassembled, TV’s off wall etc nothing was too much trouble. The removal guys had the job (St Albans to Chipperfield) all done and dusted by 2:30. Can’t thank you enough for such great service on what is a naturally stressful day. Shout out to Shenda for managing the process. Would highly recommend.

From start to finish this has been a very professional company to use. Very efficient and hard working, friendly, polite and very organised. Excellent communication all the way through.
