From the moment of getting the quote, the team arrived to pack things on Tuesday and move me into the new house on Wednesday everything was stress-free. Not an easy time for anyone moving, but when there is only yourself it is even more stressful. In Excess Removals we’re a great help, they took care of packing my possessions expertly, removed unwanted furniture and quickly unloaded everything the other end. From the day they first came around to quote to the day we completed our move, In Excess have been a real pleasure to work with. Their office staff have always been friendly and helpful...and patient when the moving dates took forever to secure! The team did a fantastic job during our '3-day move' across the country. On day 1, John, Harry and Jack cleared our house of furniture, taking great care and constantly being polite and accommodating. After completion on day 2, they returned our house contents to us on day 3. John, Harry, Chris, Riley and Geoff worked so hard and had us fully moved in before 2pm. Considering our new home has a steep driveway, they worked so hard, carrying all our belongings up the slope from the vans at the bottom! They remained cheerful despite the gradient challenges (tea helps!), they were again polite and helpful and even moved the lorry when someone needed to get past. I would recommend In Excess to anyone needing to move locally or distance!

Everything was smooth. Moving can be so stressful... the day of the move was not! The 3 guys doing our move did a wonderful job. So friendly, listened to what items were valuable to us and took care of everything. They left boxes and all the furniture in the rooms we wanted. We would highly recommend the company. A brilliant service. Helpful from the start - we were needing a removals company at short notice and In-Excess were really accommodating and friendly. In-Excess packed our things and moved us from Hertfordshire to Bedfordshire. Everything about the process was really smooth, from the quote (by video call) to agreeing the move date. The team in the office were really helpful and the packers and movers were very quick, efficient and friendly. Moving is always trickier for me as I have a chronic illness but the team were really understanding that I might need a quiet place to rest during the day, which was a big relief. We've moved several times in recent years using various companies, including cross-border, and In-Excess are definitely the best we have found.

In-Excess Removals Limited moved our household contents from the UK to mainland Spain. They are a very professional team and our furniture arrived safely and on time. We received regular updates from the driver and the office. We would not hesitate in recommending them for UK to EU moves.

After getting serval quotes for a local removal company, and filtering out "man in a van" to the extortionate, and those who added costs for everything, we finally found In-Excess Removals Ltd. The quotation process was really simple and clear, no hidden costs. A call with the team, followed by a video call walk through of the house and that afternoon we received the quotation, all costs clearly defined, what was included and what was not, was simple to follow. Their box hiring service is fantastic (and their tape actually held the boxes together!) and a great environmental initiative. On the day they arrived on time, got started straight away and by lunchtime our 3 bedroom house was all loaded up and ready to go, by 330pm that same afternoon we were in the new house, to be fair the new house was only 3 miles away. Such an amazing service, professional team, they couldn't do enough for us. The team went the extra mile with no hesitation, friendly, polite and extremely conscientious, ensuring that everything was where we needed it to be before they left. The operations team were as equally amazing, on what is possible one of the most stressful days of your life In-Excess Removals go a long way to make it easier. In-Excess Removals were simply brilliant. From the initial quote survey, through the whole stressful process of will we/won’t we complete, to moving day itself, they were absolutely fantastic (and very calming!). The quote (we got several) was clear and detailed, and we felt that we were in the hands of experienced professionals who know exactly what they are doing. They provided us with all of the boxes, tape, paper and bubble wrap that we needed to pack up our precious belongings. I couldn’t believe how quickly everything was loaded onto the trucks, and then unloaded at our new home, 60 miles away. Yet this was all done with such care. The guys on the day were polite, friendly and good humoured, which was lovely. They were very careful and respectful of our old home, and our new one. There wasn’t a single breakage, and all of the boxes went to exactly the right rooms. If we ever have to move again, we will be asking In-Excess to move us.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. From the initial quote, from the communication to completion, down to the packing and transport on the day - they were lovely to deal with. In-Excess recently completed our house move for us and we were delighted with their service. Their quote was competitive, they were extremely helpful throughout the move, providing boxes and materials as soon as we booked and happily answering questions whenever we thought of them. We chose to do the packing ourselves and the removals team were friendly, polite, very efficient and dissembled and reassembled our large furniture as necessary. The move went very smoothly, everything was well looked after and the boxes collected soon after we’d finished unpacking. We recently engaged In Excess when moving from Hertfordshire to Oxfordshire. Without exception, the men were courteous, friendly and professional and we would have no hesitation in recommending them. They returned the following day with Terry and the three of them quickly loaded the trucks and then once we had the keys quickly unloaded the boxes and furniture at my new property. Hardworking, quick and friendly team of movers who packed us up and placed every box and piece of furniture exactly where we wanted it in our new home. We found moving home to be a very long and, in our case, arduous road. Then along came In-Excess. By the time the guys arrived to load the lorries we were shattered, but they made sure we didn't have to lift a finger from that point on, always chirpy and positive but professional in a way that we knew our possessions were in safe hands. The delivery to Norfolk was just as efficient. In spite of the distance they arrived early and cracked on relentlessly until everything was in the new house. In the office too, the girls were efficient and helpful. When they said they'd call back, they did so promptly. Lee was methodical on the logistics side as we had potentially difficult access restrictions but we needn't have worried.

I just had to say what a great service I received from start to finish. I had to have all my house contents in Hertfordshire put into storage for 5 months. The guys who moved me out of my house were very helpful and made the process very straightforward. Once I had moved down to the South Coast I arrange for the return out of storage which was equally as easy. With a small entrance, I was amazed that they got all my furniture through the gap. Everything was put where I asked and not one thing was broken. Very impressed with a very good and trustworthy removal and storage company. 10/10

Got the job done! Brilliant service from this in-excess down to the excellent skills at driving too as my road was very narrow and curved. Navigated the large removals Lorry round. Got to work immediately, three men on the job and we’re done and dusted in no time. We met again at the other end in the new house and even the rain didn’t stop these guys. Would certainly recommend in-excess!

We downsized and moved house from a 4 bedroom to a 3 bedroom Bungalow at the beginning of March, we asked InExcess to manage the process and we couldn’t have asked for a better service. From the first meeting we had to the aftercare once we had moved in, InExcess were punctual, reliable, willing and went above and beyond the call of duty. We couldn’t recommend InExcess removals enough.

In-Excess were amazing from start to finish. We had a tight exchange/completion window and they were supportive and clear with everything we needed to do. There wasn't much about my recent move that didn't need to happen within very short timeframes, but In-Excess - who I've used before - were patient, upfront and really lovely to work with despite the moving goalposts. The movers are amazing – so fast, efficient, friendly and really good at what they do. I appreciated how they put the boxes in the right places, and made smart pathways so that nothing was blocked. I've had movers in the past who've dumped boxes in the most illogical places, so I really appreciated that I could get to where I needed without having to move boxes around. All the costs were provided, and there were no hidden charges. I would choose In-Excess again in a heartbeat, they're great!

We contacted them just two weeks before our moving date as our previous removals company had let us down. They were prompt and professional and had us signed up after a zoom that afternoon at our property to gauge a quote. That afternoon we had all the packaging we required delivered and the next day everything in writing. As our moving day was a fairly big one from South to North it was performed over two days. The staff arrived on time and were very courteous and professional and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our furniture was packed safely and securely. It was taken to be stored overnight and then they arrived the next day again on time with the same professionalism and all furniture promptly and safely delivered. The move was discussed and the date for moving changed many times due to other factors. It was easy to make contact and check with them, and the move went smoothly as far as the physical transport of our contents was concerned. It is always said that one of the most stressful things in life is moving home and whilst I never wish to again I cannot recommend highly enough Steve and his team. We had several delayed exchanges because of legal problems but the operations team would always bend over backwards to accommodate the move of 2 properties into 1 (and possibly but luckily not, into storage). When it eventually came to the move the packers were careful, friendly and considering of the need to live overnight in the property. The movers were hard working, friendly and could not do enough to oblige even when changing minds as to whether a box should be on the ground or second floor. When out move was then split into two separate moves they were not remotely flustered and quickly found an extremely helpful and effective solution. On and prior to the move dates the entire team were extremely helpful, always cheerful and took very good care of us as a customer and of all our belongings. Nothing was too much trouble and they took care of us, communicating clearly and consistently at all times making our move process as stress free as possible. I could not recommend them more highly, thank you so very much.

Dan, Neil and Freddie were excellent, they were professional and extremely respectful of our property. They were efficient and very helpful. We had the full packing service and it was worth every penny it took the stress out of packing a three bedroom house. We moved over 180 miles to our new home and everything was packaged very well we couldn’t be more happy with the service we received. Also Steve was the only person who came out to the house in person to assess the cost of the move, other companies would not come out and couldn’t guarantee the price but In-Excess knew exactly what was required to provide a competitive price. Louise was fantastic when we rang the office, friendly service and a pleasure to speak to. A first class service from start to finish a great company and staff that care.

This was our 4th move in 5 years and was, without doubt, the best by a long way. From start to finish, In Excess Removals dealt with us in a friendly and professional manner and provided a first class service at a very reasonable price. Due to circumstances we had a very limited date window for our move, but from the very first phone call with Shanda I was put at ease, Steve did a very comprehensive survey in person and at very short notice. During exchange of contracts there was a problem in the chain, but Louise was very helpful and calming. Our move was over a 3 day period (due to size of load and distance moved) and involved two lorries. Roadworks outside of our house and not having a drive large enough to take the lorry did not help. However Freddie and his team were excellent, they were all cheerful and worked hard loading all of our stuff, but were very careful and we had no damages. The unloading at our new home went like clockwork, we were amazed at how fast these boys could move and despite us occasionally changing our minds as to where boxes were to go they were still talking to us at the end of the day!!! Throughout the whole experience In-Excess were very professional, courteous and made the move stress free for us. We would definitely recommend them.

Almost 10 years to the day since In-Excess last moved our family home - they moved us again. This time we had more belongings and we were glad that In-Excess did the packing for us. Despite the additional challenges of COVID-19 our move was handled professionally and with the care and attention we would expect. We used their full packing service which was reasonably priced, they packed everything well and quickly the day before our move and the team on the move day worked around us so well given that we have 2 small children. I can’t fault the team at In-Excess, everything was made easy at every step. I was really nervous about our move, we only had a 7 day period between exchange and completion, but that wasn’t a problem. On the moving day, the guys emptied our entire 2 bed flat within a couple hours, and unloading went even faster. Great team, 100% would recommend!

In-Excess were very helpful, from the time of visiting to give a (very competitive) quote, to completion of our move. We chose to pack ourselves, and lots of advice was given re how to pack awkward and fragile items. The move was done over 2 days, outdoor and garage things on day one in 2 large box vans, and the house contents in one HUGE van on completion day. They provided seemingly unlimited boxes, paper, tape and bubble wrap in the weeks leading up to our move. The girls in the office were so helpful and reassuring especially when others in our chain repeatedly changed completion date. The team of men who moved us were fabulous!! A massive thank you to them, they were fast, efficient, patient and in good humour all day- nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend In-Excess and wouldn't hesitate in using them again if ever we decided to move again.

Following the initial quote, the packaging was provided quickly and they arrived, on time, to both remove and then unload items at our house 100 miles away. When I called to enquire, Louise was so helpful in organising the survey that Steve carried out with lots of useful advice. Shenda and Louise were always happy to answer my various queries and on the day, the team (Chris, Dean, John plus one more!) were just astounding in moving us in 30 degree heat whilst keeping us laughing along the way. How they managed to move some of our very heavy furniture from our third floor, I will never know. I would highly recommend them and the next time we move, we are definitely going to them!

We used In Excess for our house move in October. They were extremely helpful and very professional. The office staff are incredibly patient considering we were scheduled to move on 3 different dates. Great competitive pricing and the lads on moving day couldn't fault them. Hard working and friendly. The whole process was excellent from start to finish! In Excess did the complete pack and move for a 4 bed home. Arranging the quote and booking the move was really easy. The office team were genuinely interested in making it all work. Everyone was good humoured and professional on the moving days. Disassembly and reassembly of furniture was done with care and attention. Picking up the boxes was done quickly after I called. A really good experience. I would book them again.

When we decided to move one of the items in the list was to find a good moving company. So we had several companies come and give us quotes. None of the companies who visited us gave us that gut feeling that says our stuff in their hands will be safe. I was explaining this to my boss who then recommended In-excess. We initially had trouble organizing them to come and see our stuff as by that time we were perilously close to our move and was just after Christmas. We were given a very competitive quote and we accepted. Part of the job to store some of our stuff in a temporary warehouse. As we live near two busy schools we asked In-excess to be their in time before the school traffic started. They were slightly late but made it in time to park their vans / lorries and get to work. From that time to delivering the stuff to our new house we couldn't expect more from that team who did the move. All we had to do was to get them cups of coffee and they were god natured, helpful, careful and pretty much very professional. Everything was packed, carried and delivered safely to the new location. Isn't that all you want? There were no panic moments, no last minute extra charges just good banter and a good move. I would recommend the service highly and use them again and again. We had no items that were damaged. They moved many items that were fragile and a large Roland electric Piano. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and THANKS IN-EXCESS.
