In-Excess Removals Limited moved our household contents from the UK to mainland Spain. They are a very professional team and our furniture arrived safely and on time. We received regular updates from the driver and the office. We would not hesitate in recommending them for UK to EU moves.

I've used In-excess on a few occasions, as we've moved from rented into our house, then back after a refurb. They have been brilliant. Customer service (I spoke with Shenda, mostly) was first class from all of the office based people. The guys out do the removing were all polite and helpful and we always felt the service was very personal. We have since recommended them to friends and family who also rate them very highly. Thankyou In-Excess for making a stressful time, far less stressful.

A friend recommended In Excess to me while I was doing the usual and getting quotes for a recent house move. A recommendation goes a long way in my view and In Excess did not disappoint. From the initial telephone conversation with Steve, through the quote, done the way you prefer ( I prefer face to face as they’re the experienced ones and need to see how much stuff you’ve actually got), to the final move. Everything went smoothly, the team works likes a dream and they are so fast! But equally efficient and extremely polite. Shenda is also a dream and a real “people person” while remaining professional. My move happened, everything went quickly and smoothly, the boxes were collected… job done! We’re moving again in 12 months… to France, In Excess will be the first number I call! I cannot recommend this family run business enough, it’s great value for money and huge! After getting serval quotes for a local removal company, and filtering out "man in a van" to the extortionate, and those who added costs for everything, we finally found In-Excess Removals Ltd. The quotation process was really simple and clear, no hidden costs. A call with the team, followed by a video call walk through of the house and that afternoon we received the quotation, all costs clearly defined, what was included and what was not, was simple to follow. Their box hiring service is fantastic (and their tape actually held the boxes together!) and a great environmental initiative. On the day they arrived on time, got started straight away and by lunchtime our 3 bedroom house was all loaded up and ready to go, by 330pm that same afternoon we were in the new house, to be fair the new house was only 3 miles away. Such an amazing service, professional team, they couldn't do enough for us. The team went the extra mile with no hesitation, friendly, polite and extremely conscientious, ensuring that everything was where we needed it to be before they left. The operations team were as equally amazing, on what is possible one of the most stressful days of your life In-Excess Removals go a long way to make it easier. I would highly recommend them, its great to support local family businesses and these guys did not disappoint!

In-Excess Removals were simply brilliant. From the initial quote survey, through the whole stressful process of will we/won’t we complete, to moving day itself, they were absolutely fantastic (and very calming!). The quote (we got several) was clear and detailed, and we felt that we were in the hands of experienced professionals who know exactly what they are doing. They provided us with all of the boxes, tape, paper and bubble wrap that we needed to pack up our precious belongings. I couldn’t believe how quickly everything was loaded onto the trucks, and then unloaded at our new home, 60 miles away. Yet this was all done with such care. The guys on the day were polite, friendly and good humoured, which was lovely. They were very careful and respectful of our old home, and our new one. There wasn’t a single breakage, and all of the boxes went to exactly the right rooms. If we ever have to move again, we will be asking In-Excess to move us.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. From the initial quote, from the communication to completion, down to the packing and transport on the day - they were lovely to deal with. I felt reassured throughout the process, everyone was so friendly and we felt that our big day was in safe hands. They removed a lot of the stress that comes with moving. I recommend the packing service, which again, removed a lot of the stress from the whole process. I am so happy we chose this company, and whilst I hope not to move again for a good few years they would be the only company I would consider for my next move.

I just want to say thanks to Percy, Terry and John. They worked really hard to make things happen on time and to make our move easier. They were efficient and very professional. In-Excess recently completed our house move for us and we were delighted with their service. Their quote was competitive, they were extremely helpful throughout the move, providing boxes and materials as soon as we booked and happily answering questions whenever we thought of them. We chose to do the packing ourselves and the removals team were friendly, polite, very efficient and dissembled and reassembled our large furniture as necessary. The move went very smoothly, everything was well looked after and the boxes collected soon after we’d finished unpacking. In-Excess were recommended to us by a friend and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them ourselves.

We recently used in excess removals for our move from a four bedroom house. They provided as many packing materials as required at no extra cost which was great. The office team were also so helpful when our completion date kept changing last minute to ensure we could secure a removals team for the day we needed. The team on move day were brilliant. We asked In Excess to help us at short notice ( less than 2 weeks) to move us from a second home in Dorset and to distribute contents to three different addresses in the Berkhamsted /Tring area. They arrived on time, worked tirelessly during a really hot day to pack us up in Dorset and then deliver to the three addresses next day. Excellent experience from the beginning to end. Shenda in the office was really professional, helpful and friendly. When I asked for moving quotes, I was bombarded with emails and phonecalls from other providers, but with In-Excess they gave me time to process the info given, not pushy at all. We recently engaged In Excess when moving from Hertfordshire to Oxfordshire. Without exception, the men were courteous, friendly and professional and we would have no hesitation in recommending them. In our opinion they quoted a fair and reasonable price and they took great care when packing and moving our belongings.

From the moment I rang them for a quote, I just knew I had chosen the right company to move me to my new home. Being an older lady living alone, this process was very daunting. But nothing was too much trouble for them, from supplying the correct quantity of packing materials right through to the move day which went without a hitch.

Their staff are all cheerful, experienced and well trained with a can-do attitude which was a refreshing change from previous local removal companies we have used. They say that moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do but In Excess made the whole process smooth and as stress free as possible. From the first visit to quote for the work to the booking once I had my completion date to the packing to the move itself, I really cannot fault In Excess. The price was very competitive and there were no hidden extras on the day. Dean and Bradley came to pack everything very efficiently and very professionally the day before the move and were so courteous, reassuring and polite. They returned the following day with Terry and the three of them quickly loaded the trucks and then once we had the keys quickly unloaded the boxes and furniture at my new property. Hardworking, quick and friendly team of movers who packed us up and placed every box and piece of furniture exactly where we wanted it in our new home. Shenda and the office team were so helpful when obtaining a quote and any issues are resolved professionally and courteously. We found In-Excess were competitively priced and excellent at communicating availability during the conveyancing process.

We found moving home to be a very long and, in our case, arduous road. Then along came In-Excess. By the time the guys arrived to load the lorries we were shattered, but they made sure we didn't have to lift a finger from that point on, always chirpy and positive but professional in a way that we knew our possessions were in safe hands. The delivery to Norfolk was just as efficient. In spite of the distance they arrived early and cracked on relentlessly until everything was in the new house. In the office too, the girls were efficient and helpful. When they said they'd call back, they did so promptly. Lee was methodical on the logistics side as we had potentially difficult access restrictions but we needn't have worried.

I just had to say what a great service I received from start to finish. I had to have all my house contents in Hertfordshire put into storage for 5 months. The guys who moved me out of my house were very helpful and made the process very straightforward. Once I had moved down to the South Coast I arrange for the return out of storage which was equally as easy. With a small entrance, I was amazed that they got all my furniture through the gap. Everything was put where I asked and not one thing was broken. Very impressed with a very good and trustworthy removal and storage company. 10/10

Got the job done! Brilliant service from this in-excess down to the excellent skills at driving too as my road was very narrow and curved. Navigated the large removals Lorry round. Got to work immediately, three men on the job and we’re done and dusted in no time. We met again at the other end in the new house and even the rain didn’t stop these guys. Would certainly recommend in-excess!

We downsized and moved house from a 4 bedroom to a 3 bedroom Bungalow at the beginning of March, we asked InExcess to manage the process and we couldn’t have asked for a better service. From the first meeting we had to the aftercare once we had moved in, InExcess were punctual, reliable, willing and went above and beyond the call of duty. We couldn’t recommend InExcess removals enough.

In-Excess were amazing from start to finish. We had a tight exchange/completion window and they were supportive and clear with everything we needed to do. We also had a packer for the day who was absolutely incredible - Brad - thank you! Special thanks to Gareth who was just a calming influence on the day. Nothing was too much trouble and they were super fast with everything. Though we won't be moving again I would hands down never use anyone else other than these guys. I would most certainly recommend In-Excess for their removal services. They have a great and supportive team, initially I was reassured by the quoting process, and felt confident that they had given me a good price. They were supportive over the phone for the months leading up to the move and considerate of all the delays with my sale! They gave me more than enough boxes to use. There wasn't much about my recent move that didn't need to happen within very short timeframes, but In-Excess - who I've used before - were patient, upfront and really lovely to work with despite the moving goalposts. The movers are amazing – so fast, efficient, friendly and really good at what they do. I appreciated how they put the boxes in the right places, and made smart pathways so that nothing was blocked. I've had movers in the past who've dumped boxes in the most illogical places, so I really appreciated that I could get to where I needed without having to move boxes around. All the costs were provided, and there were no hidden charges. I would choose In-Excess again in a heartbeat, they're great!

We contacted them just two weeks before our moving date as our previous removals company had let us down. They were prompt and professional and had us signed up after a zoom that afternoon at our property to gauge a quote. That afternoon we had all the packaging we required delivered and the next day everything in writing. As our moving day was a fairly big one from South to North it was performed over two days. The staff arrived on time and were very courteous and professional and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our furniture was packed safely and securely. It was taken to be stored overnight and then they arrived the next day again on time with the same professionalism and all furniture promptly and safely delivered. Thank you to the team who did a 2-day removal for us from Tring to Edwinstowe. Initially, a team of four loaded the lorry carefully and conscientiously. They were very friendly, hard-working and good-humoured throughout. The same day Gareth and Brad drove the lorry to our new home to offload some and then reliably met us at the door in the morning at the agreed time. The three guys who moved us provided a great service throughout the day. They handled our belongings carefully and were friendly and courteous. Despite having some challenges gaining access to our new property which caused quite a delay, they were understanding and worked really hard to make up the lost time. The move was discussed and the date for moving changed many times due to other factors. It was easy to make contact and check with them, and the move went smoothly as far as the physical transport of our contents was concerned. It is always said that one of the most stressful things in life is moving home and whilst I never wish to again I cannot recommend highly enough Steve and his team. We had several delayed exchanges because of legal problems but the operations team would always bend over backwards to accommodate the move of 2 properties into 1 (and possibly but luckily not, into storage). When it eventually came to the move the packers were careful, friendly and considering of the need to live overnight in the property. The movers were hard working, friendly and could not do enough to oblige even when changing minds as to whether a box should be on the ground or second floor. The staff of In Excess show a strong loyalty to their organisation and are a credit to them. Highly recommended.

I was very anxious about moving house but from the moment Steve Yates arrived to give estimate things became so much easier. In-Excess provided the type of service that one only imagines still exists. They were incredibly supportive and flexible in finding a way to help at very short notice. When out move was then split into two separate moves they were not remotely flustered and quickly found an extremely helpful and effective solution. On and prior to the move dates the entire team were extremely helpful, always cheerful and took very good care of us as a customer and of all our belongings. Nothing was too much trouble and they took care of us, communicating clearly and consistently at all times making our move process as stress free as possible. Dan, Neil and Freddie were excellent, they were professional and extremely respectful of our property. They were efficient and very helpful. We had the full packing service and it was worth every penny it took the stress out of packing a three bedroom house. We moved over 180 miles to our new home and everything was packaged very well we couldn’t be more happy with the service we received. Also Steve was the only person who came out to the house in person to assess the cost of the move, other companies would not come out and couldn’t guarantee the price but In-Excess knew exactly what was required to provide a competitive price. Louise was fantastic when we rang the office, friendly service and a pleasure to speak to. A first class service from start to finish a great company and staff that care.

This was our 4th move in 5 years and was, without doubt, the best by a long way. From start to finish, In Excess Removals dealt with us in a friendly and professional manner and provided a first class service at a very reasonable price. Due to circumstances we had a very limited date window for our move, but from the very first phone call with Shanda I was put at ease, Steve did a very comprehensive survey in person and at very short notice. During exchange of contracts there was a problem in the chain, but Louise was very helpful and calming. Our move was over a 3 day period (due to size of load and distance moved) and involved two lorries. Roadworks outside of our house and not having a drive large enough to take the lorry did not help. However Freddie and his team were excellent, they were all cheerful and worked hard loading all of our stuff, but were very careful and we had no damages. The unloading at our new home went like clockwork, we were amazed at how fast these boys could move and despite us occasionally changing our minds as to where boxes were to go they were still talking to us at the end of the day!!! Throughout the whole experience In-Excess were very professional, courteous and made the move stress free for us. We would definitely recommend them.

Almost 10 years to the day since In-Excess last moved our family home - they moved us again. This time we had more belongings and we were glad that In-Excess did the packing for us. Despite the additional challenges of COVID-19 our move was handled professionally and with the care and attention we would expect. I can’t fault the team at In-Excess, everything was made easy at every step. I was really nervous about our move, we only had a 7 day period between exchange and completion, but that wasn’t a problem. On the moving day, the guys emptied our entire 2 bed flat within a couple hours, and unloading went even faster. Great team, 100% would recommend!

When I called to enquire, Louise was so helpful in organising the survey that Steve carried out with lots of useful advice. Shenda and Louise were always happy to answer my various queries and on the day, the team (Chris, Dean, John plus one more!) were just astounding in moving us in 30 degree heat whilst keeping us laughing along the way. We used In Excess for our house move in October. They were extremely helpful and very professional. The office staff are incredibly patient considering we were scheduled to move on 3 different dates. Everything was explained well and there were no surprises or problems on the day. I would use again and I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a removal company.

This is the 2nd time we have used In-excess, totally amazing service from the friendly initial contact, free boxes and bubble wrap as many as you need. Great competitive pricing and the lads on moving day couldn't fault them. Hard working and friendly. We had a small issue after moving day and Steve was amazing at helping out as well, 100% recommend these guys!

The whole process was excellent from start to finish! In Excess did the complete pack and move for a 4 bed home. Arranging the quote and booking the move was really easy. The office team were genuinely interested in making it all work. Everyone was good humoured and professional on the moving days. Disassembly and reassembly of furniture was done with care and attention. Picking up the boxes was done quickly after I called. A really good experience. I would book them again.

When we decided to move one of the items in the list was to find a good moving company. So we had several companies come and give us quotes. None of the companies who visited us gave us that gut feeling that says our stuff in their hands will be safe. I was explaining this to my boss who then recommended In-excess. We initially had trouble organizing them to come and see our stuff as by that time we were perilously close to our move and was just after Christmas. We were given a very competitive quote and we accepted. Part of the job to store some of our stuff in a temporary warehouse. As we live near two busy schools we asked In-excess to be their in time before the school traffic started. They were slightly late but made it in time to park their vans / lorries and get to work. From that time to delivering the stuff to our new house we couldn't expect more from that team who did the move. All we had to do was to get them cups of coffee and they were god natured, helpful, careful and pretty much very professional. Everything was packed, carried and delivered safely to the new location. Isn't that all you want? There were no panic moments, no last minute extra charges just good banter and a good move. I would recommend the service highly and use them again and again. We had no items that were damaged. They moved many items that were fragile and a large Roland electric Piano. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and THANKS IN-EXCESS.
