Everything was smooth. Moving can be so stressful... the day of the move was not! The 3 guys doing our move did a wonderful job. So friendly, listened to what items were valuable to us and took care of everything. They left boxes and all the furniture in the rooms we wanted. We would highly recommend the company. They also moved a piano for us and this was also done very well. Thank you for making everything stress free.

From the day they first came around to quote to the day we completed our move, In Excess have been a real pleasure to work with. Their office staff have always been friendly and helpful...and patient when the moving dates took forever to secure! The team did a fantastic job during our '3-day move' across the country. On day 1, John, Harry and Jack cleared our house of furniture, taking great care and constantly being polite and accommodating. After completion on day 2, they returned our house contents to us on day 3. John, Harry, Chris, Riley and Geoff worked so hard and had us fully moved in before 2pm. Considering our new home has a steep driveway, they worked so hard, carrying all our belongings up the slope from the vans at the bottom! They remained cheerful despite the gradient challenges (tea helps!), they were again polite and helpful and even moved the lorry when someone needed to get past. I would recommend In Excess to anyone needing to move locally or distance!

I have now used In-Excess Removals for two house moves and on both occasions, I have been very pleased with their work. I chose them originally because of their competitive quote and the fact that they were recommended by two friends of mine who had used them previously - one for a local move and the other for a move from Hertfordshire to Manchester. From the first enquiry to the completion of the move, everyone at In-Excess was professional, helpful and very understanding of last-minute changes. Supplies of boxes, bubble wrap, wrapping paper and tape were provided in good time and when I realised that a lot more boxes were needed, these were immediately made available. There was also no delay in returning my deposit once all the boxes had gone back. I would recommend In-Excess to anyone considering a house move in the Hertfordshire area.

From the moment of getting the quote, the team arrived to pack things on Tuesday and move me into the new house on Wednesday everything was stress-free. Not an easy time for anyone moving, but when there is only yourself it is even more stressful. In Excess Removals we’re a great help, they took care of packing my possessions expertly, removed unwanted furniture and quickly unloaded everything the other end. In-Excess handled out move for us in July from Hemel to Northamptonshire and we're superb through the whole process. From our initial phone call to book a survey for a quote all the way through to the final box coming off the van the whole team were a joy to work with. When we decided to move one of the items in the list was to find a good moving company. So we had several companies come and give us quotes. None of the companies who visited us gave us that gut feeling that says our stuff in their hands will be safe. I was explaining this to my boss who then recommended In-excess. We initially had trouble organizing them to come and see our stuff as by that time we were perilously close to our move and was just after Christmas. We were given a very competitive quote and we accepted. Part of the job to store some of our stuff in a temporary warehouse. As we live near two busy schools we asked In-excess to be their in time before the school traffic started. They were slightly late but made it in time to park their vans / lorries and get to work. From that time to delivering the stuff to our new house we couldn't expect more from that team who did the move. All we had to do was to get them cups of coffee and they were god natured, helpful, careful and pretty much very professional. Everything was packed, carried and delivered safely to the new location. Isn't that all you want? There were no panic moments, no last minute extra charges just good banter and a good move. I would recommend the service highly and use them again and again. We had no items that were damaged. They moved many items that were fragile and a large Roland electric Piano. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and THANKS IN-EXCESS.

This was our 4th move in 5 years and was, without doubt, the best by a long way. From start to finish, In Excess Removals dealt with us in a friendly and professional manner and provided a first class service at a very reasonable price. The packers did a great job at protecting our valuables and the moving team were careful and really helpful. I could not recommend them more highly and only wish we had found them before!

the team were fantastic from the people in the office to the people doing the job, couldn't do enough to help. super helpful and efficient and all-knowing in their field, the whole moving thing is stressful but this was the one area that ran smoothly.

I would highly recommend In Excess removals. I was particularly impressed and grateful for their response to the Covid19 situation i.e. offering constant re-assurance in the face of moving completion dates and on-going uncertainty, as well as allowing one free re-booking during the height of the pandemic.
