I chose Mark from J H Glazing to replace a new upvc sliding sash window in my first floor flat which had been left only partially in place, unsealed, with part of the original box sash still in place and the wrong fittings on it. He turned up promptly to do a quote, listened carefully to what I wanted, produced a very competitive quote quickly. I had to delay the work for a few weeks due to dealing with a death. He was very understanding. He worked on his own, was quiet, considerate, efficient and cleaned up. It was an awkward window being on the first floor and behind the kitchen sink. The weather was cold and windy with short daylight hours in the first week of January. Mark managed to salvage the original wooden architrave and cill, which had some damage from the previous window installers attempt (no other company said they could do this). I have repainted the architrave and cill and, with the minimal fittings in satin rather than shiny chrome, and it now fits in very well with both the kitchen and the other two windows which are still the original wooden sashes. The work is FENSA certified, has an Energy Performance certificate and guarantee. Mark kept to his quote and is very competent and pleasant. I highly recommend him.

We had 37 glazed leaded units replaced by Mark and his team. The product was better quality than I expected and and the fitting efficient and expertly done. There were no hidden extras and the accepted price quoted was what was paid. I recommend this company to anyone seeking replacement glazed units. A very good job done.

Mark came, measured my old UPVC window (which he had repaired years previously and had advised that it would go again and when it did it I would be best to replace it), advised on the best type of window, the hinge (for in and outside cleaning) and finish and how long the wait time would be, he waited for my decision, ordered, fitted within a week of his estimated time, arrived on time, finished so neatly with little decorative impact from the removal of the old window and the fitting of the replacement, vacuumed the room so no detritus was left on the carpet and billed quickly and was wholly as estimated. In this post Brexit and pandemic world of delayed supply of materials, shortage of labour and parts and general price rises, Mark is a beacon of reliability and efficiency.

Mark did a small job for me that only a few others would quote for in present circumstances. He rebalanced the weights in a lower sash window that would stay open only if wedged. I had taken down a roller blind and net curtains and unscrewed window stops, expecting to refit them myself but, without being asked, he automatically refitted them and cleared up. Just details of a very professional service that is only too rare these days (yes, I am old!)

Mark was very professional and did a good job within a faster time frame than he first estimated. He is also trustworthy as he managed to get a significant discount on my doors after we already agreed a price. He could have kept this to himself but he gave me the discount. Mark has carried out several jobs over the past few years. Initially it was difficult finding a tradesperson who could meet our requirements as needed to replaced two ornate glass doors in our Victorian house, one of which formed part of our front door and the other was our daughter's bedroom. More recently he replaced a UPVC door and a sliding slash window to a very high standard. Mark is very reliable and knowledgeable and have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

We hired Mark to replace an old conservatory at the back of the property and the front door. We were so pleased with the work he did on the first two jobs we got him back in to replace the back door too. He's a thoroughly nice bloke and very responsive to our messages. Really pleased we decided to use Which to look up a trader to use and went with the excellent reviews Mark already had. He came in the middle of three quotes we asked for so perfectly reasonably priced and there were no surprises or extra charges beyond the original quote. After the fitting of the back door we had a problem with the front one where it had settled since being fitted. Nothing serious, just proving a little stiff to lock and unlock. It's an old house and we expect that kind of thing with the change in seasons. Mark came back and adjusted the door and it's back to the same great fit and quality as when he first fitted it. Would definitely recommend.

The smoothest experience with a tradesperson that I have ever had. Mark was efficient, open and good value. I wasn't able to be there for any of the process, but Mark was happy for me to oversee remotely and through a lodger. He came out and measured up before giving me a very clear quote. After a delay in delivery of the door, which I was kept informed by, he arrived and completed the work within a day. The quality of work is wonderful.
