Shipley's plumbing and heating services are based in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, and are a friendly, family ran business who have been trading for over sixty years.

A GASSAFE registered company, we specialise in gas central heating installation, servicing & boiler repairs.

If you need to find a qualified and legitimate central heating engineer, or gas fitter, to repair or install a gas appliance, then you can rely on us, as our GASSAFE registered heating engineers are both experienced and fully insured.

We also have 3 great servicing packages available to make sure you are never let out in the cold!

Fantastic service from start to finish. Needed all radiators replacing. From first phone call they were courteous, friendly and professional. Quick to quote, fair price and were able to complete works quicker that originally projected. Guys on the day went out of their way to make sure we knew what they were doing and were happy with their suggestions. They hit a couple of snags but nothing was a problem and they worked later to ensure everything was complete and working to satisfaction. Would fully recommend and will be our first port of call for any future works.

Installed my new boiler 2 years ago, excellent job and continued service. Just fitted new boiler at my aged mother's house, which involved resiteing from utility room to garage. Marvellous job, ingenious and neat. They cannot be faulted on quality and price.

Delighted with level of service from Shipley. Attention to detail very good. Job involved fitting new radiator and new timing clock/room thermostat. From first estimate through to actually doing the work Shipley were efficient and professional. Would use them again without hesitation.

I have a service by this company every January and they are always excellent, clean and very friendly. Originally I had a new Worcester Bosch boiler and fireplace installed around 3 or 4 years ago.

The job was to replace and re-site a 17yr old boiler, flush the system, fit a Magnetic filter as well as TRVs to 9 of our radiators.I spotted their name here and I agree with the previous users. The initial phone conversation was very pleasant and Nigel came out to survey the proposed job at a time in the evening convenient to us (not a given with larger companies!). The quote was prompt and competitive. From then on they kept us fully informed of the process. George turned up two weeks before to dose the system with cleaner. On the day Kevin and Steven turned up to do the work. They were pleasant to have around and accommodating. The re-siting job was neat. They were also happy to go the extra mile such as refitting the kitchen cupboard around the new boiler, which was nice. The job was done to what appeared to me to be of a high standard and to time. Their invoice was posted to us a week later. Overall I found this company to be professional, efficient and competent and would certainly recommend them.
