Both Roland and Russell were very courteous and polite. JBC manufactured and installed a wooden door and surrounding panels with double glazed glass. They were very attentive and took pride in what they did. Extremely pleased with the outcome.

From first contact with JBC to completion of the work, I felt valued as a customer and it was a pleasure to deal with all individuals from the Company whom I encountered. Questions and clarification points before the contract was signed through to completion were all answered quickly and fully. JBC were a company in our area and we wanted to keep it local. The stairway survey was done with great detail and attention and allowed us to influence the design process. Just had our wooden balustrade replace with glass and stainless steel. The work was carried out by JBC and I cannot fault the work. The whole process for start to finish was amazing. This was the second time we had a door made and fitted by JBC. The reason for that is simple - the craftmanship and attention to detail to produce the doors in keeping with the era of the house but with all mod cons were truly superb. Contracted JBC to install 2 x 5" glass balustrade panels to my patio replacing panel fence. Roland & Russell completed what is a superb robust job with nice surround finishes (even painting newly exposed fencing). Explained the engineering aspects along the way. A knowledgeable family business and would highly recommend.

My son recently moved house and we were impressed with the glass and oak balustrade they had, much nicer than our 30+ year old original “ranch fence, three plank” banister. While searching for suppliers, both in Sunday supplements and locally, we came across JBC at Broxburn and asked for a quote. A neighbour a couple of doors down was surveyed the same day. We were unable to accept the quote at that time but after seeing the quality of the work carried out at our neighbours we asked Nicola at JBC a few months later if it would be possible to have the work done at the originally quoted price. Luckily the answer was yes though, because of our delay and the guys schedule, we would have to wait a bit longer than usual for the work to commence. Roland appeared and carried out the full survey and noted my concerns regarding some phone and network cables which would have to be incorporated. He and Russell duly turned up on the allotted day and laid down protective covering on the stairs, spending the rest of the day cutting and preparing various sections prior to the final assembly. A temporary banister was fitted overnight with the balustrade completed the following day. The craftsmanship and quality is fantastic with the stairwell now opened up, my cables invisible. Many thanks to the guys for a fantastic job carried out in an extremely professional way. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for similar work to be carried out.

Used JBC to make bunk beds and cupboards. Roland and Russell were very professional from the start, completing the work on time. Offering good design options, tidy workers, courteous. The work was completed to a high standard and they took pride in the quality of their workmanship. I would recommend them and would use them myself again.

We booked JBC for a bathroom refurbishment. From the written quote (Jim) to the completed work (Roland and Russell) we experienced nothing but professionalism from JBC. Despite working in very cramped conditions and in extreme heat (31 degrees) Roland and Russell managed to produce an amazing modern, sleek and beautifully tiled bathroom...nothing was overlooked and the quality of their workmanship was nothing short of perfection. Communication was excellent as was reliability, honesty and a desire to do a good job for the customer. I am so very glad we used JBC and we will be doing so again, and would definitely recommend the company. Thank you also to Nicola whose professionalism meant that any paperwork, questions etc were managed with speed and efficiency. A wonderful company.

Our bath was removed and replaced with a glass sided shower cabinet and the wc and basin were replaced. The floor tiles were removed and replaced and the walls were tiled. Substantial replumbing was needed. The work was carried out in the agreed timescale and at the agreed price. The standard of workmanship was virtually flawless and we were minimally inconvenienced while the work was in progress. Communication with all members of the firm was straightforward, helpful and good humoured. It is now 6 weeks since the work was completed and no problems have arisen. I will certainly go back to JBC if I need further similar work carried out in the future. I don't know whether I could have had the work done as well for less, although I'm sure I could have had it done less well!

JBC carried out these works to my second floor tenement flat to a high standard of workmanship. Definitely worth the money as a long term investment in the flat.

JBC supplied and fitted 10 replacement internal oak doors, 4 of which had to be custom made. The doors were delivered and fitted on time. The fitters worked to ensure a perfect fit to all doors dealing with the difficulties of an old building. The end result is a very high quality job undertaken with excellent customer service. This is a small family business who provide a friendly and most efficient service. Their custom made hinged secondary windows proved to be an ideal solution to the problem of installing secondary glazing in a period property with a minimum of disruption (and no need for planning permission). Roland and Russell were delightful people to have around ; they completed the work in record time, my floors and furniture were protected with polythene and dust sheets and they left absolutely no mess. They also paid attention to extra details such as ordering and installing new blinds and brass window handles. I would unhesitatingly recommend this company.

I contacted JBC through finding them on google and found their slim line double glazing would be ideal in our Georgian flat that looks onto the main road on the busy North Charlotte street in Edinburgh. It was also important that we could close the original wooden shutters which was accommodated. Throughout my communication with Jbc I was dealt with by a family member which gave me confidence that customer service was a priority, as at all times quotes, appointments and the installation was done when agreed and on budget. Rolland took a great deal of time measuring up the glass space as in all old buildings the measurements are never identical in 2 windows. The family have an attitude of get it right first time which is very refreshing having had plumbers joiners bathroom installers and electricians working over the last 4 years who Generally over promised and under delivered. It was also helpful to view a similar installation locally, prior to placing the order,to see how effective the window worked out. I am very happy with the outcome and would recommend Jbc as a trusted family business.
