We are a family-run business with over 10 years’ experience, most recently establishing JMR Heating Services in 2014.

JMR Heating carried out the annual service on my boiler and my gas fire. Although they had to cancel the original booking because they had an emergency call-out, they re-arranged the service for the following day. I had no problem with this, myself having had to call them out for an emergency previously and which they responded to promptly. I have used JMR for my boiler servicing since they first installed the boiler 4 years ago and I am happy to continue using them.

The engineer arrived on time and worked confidently and efficiently while doing my annual boiler service. A lot of companies cannot service Worcester Bosch boilers but do not actually admit to this (as I have found to my cost) and contacted Worcester Bosch for their own list of engineers. Wish I realized I could do this much, much earlier!

I Have used James and his team over the years for any plumbing/heating issues, they replaced our old boiler and installed our downstairs bathroom. He Has Always return my calls/text. Comes quickly when required (especially when my old boiler stopped working) James and his work team have always worked efficiently and got the required job done in good time. Once our old boiler was renewed we have had great heating and hot water with out any issues.

James and his team carried out a powerflush and fitted a new Worcesterbosch boiler with new pump in one day. They were very respectful of my property,they arrived on time and left my property clean and tidy. James provided a quote which was kept to and provided a date to start work 2 weeks later. I would highly recommend. JmR Heating.

Lack of skills and do not know how to install a common boiler, wired wrongly and constant lying
I purchased a new Regular Gas Boiler through Heatable who arranged JMR Heating Services Ltd for installation. 1. I overhead James was calling other people asking how to install the boiler which gave me concerns as I think this model is not uncommon. 2. After installation, I noticed all radiators were turned on except two of them were still off. I called Heatable for evidence of them been flushed. JMR told Heatable that I was following him around while he was doing the ProFlushed. This is childish and very unprofessional. 3. The next day after installation, I noticed that the towel rail in one of the bathroom would get hot even when the heating was set to off on Google Nest. I asked JMR and they said it was connected to the hot water. At a later date, I found out this is not the case. 4. 2 months later the boiler was acting strange. It would turn on 24 hours a day and ignore the schedule time. When the boiler turned on, it would supply heating when Google Nest has heating set to off. Heatable asked me to use the on/off button to manually switch off the boiler. An engineer from Heatable tested all wires, and confirmed that two wires were connected incorrectly. When I asked him about the towel rail in point 3, he said it is not the case. Due to incorrect wiring, the heating was most likely been on since installation even when Google Nest was set as heating off. We did not notice because we turned off every radiators.

The team at JMR heating was very knowledgeable and helpful. They serviced and repaired an old boiler as well as carrying out all the necessary work to upgrade the property for the rental market. A Gas safety certificate issued and the place was left spotless. Highly recommended for commercial and residential jobs.

Poor Communication, let me down badly. Avoid!
I contacted James on 3rd April as I had a fairly urgent problem with my central heating and it wouldn't turn off (potentially a problem with the pump). I also had some other work that needed doing including replacing all room thermostats which James said he would quote for. He came out to assess on 5th April and said he would provide an estimate for the work. Over the next 3 weeks, I messaged him and called multiple times but he didn't respond to either and he didn't provide a quote. On one occasion he took my call but said he was in a shop buying something and would call back. On another occasion, he responded to my phone call with a text message saying he was on a call and would call straight back. He didn't! I repeatedly asked him just to let me know if he didn't want the work as I would get someone else out. He eventually called me when he realised I wasn't giving up and said he had problems with his phone but assured me he would give me a quote that day. That was on 21st April. I'm still waiting! James certainly failed to live up to his 5 stars from other customers and I just wish he had been honest if he didn't want the work instead of messing me about. Have now had a much more reliable contractor quote and work is being done next week. Very poor service and I would avoid using him.

had James round for a quote and automatically impressed with his knowledge professionalism and enthusiasm. helped us select correct system for us. arrived on time and carried out all agreed work plus a little more to an excellent standard. very clean worker. final invoice same as original quote. would definitely recommend JMR heating to anyone requiring a fair priced excellent tradesman.

Boiler replacement, radiator upgrades and Honeywell Evohome installation.

I've recently had a new boiler (Worcester Bosch), radiator upgrades and Honeywell Evohome system fitted by JMR heating services. I did quite a lot of due diligence beforehand and received quotes from a number of local companies, all of whom are listed in Which trusted traders. I learned a lot just from going through this process as each firm had a slightly different view on the best way to configure the system and get the best outcome. I eventually settled on JMR heating services and I'm very glad I did. I dealt with James, who although young, has many years experience of plumbing and heating installation and troubleshooting. He came over as very honest and fair, hard working and knowledgeable. He was willing to explain everything and offer his honest counsel as to whether an existing piece of kit represented the best way forward versus the cost of replacement etc. His work was excellent, really neat and tidy and with great attention to detail. Even the gas inspector commented on the quality of the work when he visited shortly after the installation. The Evohome system seems to offer an excellent level of additional room by room temperature control over a standard thermostat layout and we are already benefitting from control of individual room temps as part of a timed schedule. I'm very happy with the work performed by JMT Heating Services and James in particular.
