I booked JNJ to knock down an internal wall to open up my kitchen and dining room into one space. They also had to move some electrics and plumbing, lay a new floor, create a new doorway and do some plasterwork. The schedule and budget were revised downwards in week 1 when we realized it wasn't a supporting wall. After that, the work was carried out to the new timescale and budget. JNJ stood out because they brought in a structural engineer to assess the project before I agreed to go ahead. This gave me a lot of confidence that they were taking it seriously. They also seemed very knowledgeable and professional. They took time to explain everything and had all the right accreditations. All the different tradesmen who came on site were friendly, polite and worked to a high standard. The only thing that could have been better was a slight lack of communication towards the end of the project about when it would be completely finished, but that was resolved with no problems.

After considering many building contractors we decided to employ JNJ building services due to their reputation in the West London area. However, their appointment was also decided due to the accreditation's they have been given from various professional bodies and previous high-quality work they have completed in the area. JNJ Building services from initiation to completion always maintained a very high standard, they were punctual, adhered to H&S compliance (full 5 point PPE) at all times and always gave an excellent appearance (well dressed, clean and no tracksuits) and always left the site tidy and safe, their housekeeping was excellent. Plus, they educated our children with the dangers of construction. What was also impressive was their honesty from start to finish; they always communicated their progress via reports (these can be provided if needed) and daily site meetings, usually at the end of the day. Also, critically they were always very honest if problems had been encountered during the build, they were always quickly rectified. Very importantly they achieved the estimated cost, the quality was 10 / 10 and they completed exactly within their time frame. I can say with absolute certainty I would recommend JNJ Building Services to anyone that is looking to carryout building work in the London / South East region as their complete package was excellent and we are 100% happy with the single story extension that they completed.

JNJ Building provided me with an excellent service, throughout the duration of the refurbishment of my kitchen and bathroom. They provided a professional and well experienced team, who completed the project to a high standard and made sure that all pre-existing building work was removed and re-fitted correctly. To begin, we were very impressed with the introduction session which went through a lot of the details that we may not have thought of, the quotation provided was also transparent and set out in detail the cost for each area of work. What we found most impressive was that unlike many other contractors we came across, the JNJ team had a lot of helpful suggestions on reducing unnecessary work and materials. We would also like to commend on their daily updates and responsiveness to our questions, all of which was done via a WhatsApp group. We were promptly reminded by Jamie to order the items when required and this helped reduced the lag time to get materials and deliveries and allowed the project to be progressed smoothly without having to wait long periods due to uncoordinated schedules which we suffered on our previous building project. We had started our kitchen renovation just before lockdown and JNJ were extremely helpful at such a stressful time. They were able to make sure that we were left with a functioning kitchen when work had to pause, working very quickly to get everything in and being flexible about the original plan. The work was high quality and the team were very good about cleaning up after themselves. The can-do attitude of the team was one thing that attracted us to JNJ over the other quotes we had received, and this was borne out in the way they worked and solved challenges that came up.

JNJ Building services Ltd are outstanding! They constructed our luxury bathroom. From the second I met Jamie I felt we had found the right person and company. I was so surprised how transparent he was. JNJ gave us a detailed quotation with different options which was very helpful. We were informed of the progress during the development several times, and despite some unexpected complications, works had been finished in the agreed time frame. They really do go the extra mile to deliver a high-end finish. We are more than happy with the quality of the works and professionalism. We will be using JNJ again and again.

I was surprised at the level of openness and honesty that Jamie presented to me at just the quotation stage. Everything was laid out on the table to me in a sincere and honest manner and a huge amount of trust arose from that it is rare to find that with builders in my opinion. professional and presentation was spot on and again I was surprised at the amount of consideration that went into the setup of the site for a residential project. It gave the whole project a sense of safety, care and cleanliness and really put my mind at ease. I felt comfortable and relieved that my property was left in good, professional hands and it made the whole process so much smoother. Just having my fears and the stress of a project like that laid to rest was worth choosing JNJ! A couple of unexpected issues arose during the project and the initial quotation had to be amended a little which, as you can image isn’t the greatest feeling but the openness and clear willingness to explain and make clear to me in layman’s terms what those issues were and how they could not have been identified by either parties prior to works taking place made the whole thing much more digestible. Excellent communication and integrity! Timeline of the project was amended, and I was made aware of progress every step of the way. I really felt a part of the process the whole way through. First Impressions & helpfulness - Jamie and the team were all very approachable and made sure to point out things you may not have thought of when planning your project. Community - whilst the works were ongoing, I know Jamie helped our neighbour, an elderly gent, move some heavy items into his house which he did not have to do but was very much appreciated by our neighbour. Professionalism - the team were always professional but personable too. Appearance - the site was always immaculate, and they left our home clean and tidy after each day's work which was appreciated as we had to live there whilst it was ongoing. Knowledge - Jamie and the team around him had clearly a good level of knowledge and helped us consider things we had not thought of ourselves which made the final product much better than it would have been. Work Quality - the final outcome was fantastic, and we are extremely happy with the kitchen and living area. Communication - it was always easy. Whether face to face, telephone, WhatsApp, or email. Much appreciated as it is a stressful time! Safety - all safety precautions were taken, the site always kept clean and free of hazards. After Care - the retention payment is a fantastic idea as any "snags" can be and were dealt with by Jamie or his team in a timely manner. Deadline and budget - deadlines were met and budget was stuck to down to the penny. Extra jobs were even done that were not accounted for in the original agreed budget.

I cannot recommend JNJ more highly; their professionalism and work quality were certainly the highest standard I have experienced from builders based in London. They were a pleasure to work with throughout the duration of our project and I never lost confidence in their ability to deliver. As with most building works, there were a couple of sticking points, but JNJ were brilliant at resolving these issues and making sure everything ran smoothly. Invoices were sent on time and all deadlines were met. A great bunch of workers who we would certainly use again. We even missed them once they left!

From the outset Jamie and his team were professional, courteous, and helpful. The neighbours were all impressed with their communication and consideration, as were we. Messages and phone calls were answered swiftly, and the project was well organised with a comprehensive breakdown of costs at every stage. The only reason we went over budget was because I added more jobs! JNJ’s corporate identity is evident through their distinctive logo on their vehicles and on their shirts. All sub-contractors were introduced to us by Jamie before they started work. The health and safety of workers and residents was paramount as we lived in the house for over half of the time the work was being carried out. We were delighted with our new extension and so grateful to Jamie and his team. His after care has been fantastic – he even came out to install a new washing machine for us several months after the work had finished. Jamie and his team are very professional and considerate and produce good quality work in good time. The estimates given are always detailed and fairly accurate so there are very rarely any extra hidden charges suddenly appearing. Jamie always keeps you informed and always makes himself available for any questions. The work is always completed on time and the place is always left clean and tidy. Jamie took considerable time walking us through all the documents of JNJ including their code of conduct, complaints procedures, quality assurance processes, communications procedures, and the contracts which they intended to use with us. As with the entire engagement, we were extremely comfortable and happy with JNJ, mostly due to the customer service and attention we were paid by the site manager and Jamie. We chose JNJ Building Services Ltd in a competitive tender to repair damage done to our bay windows. The work required the erection of new brick piers and the replacement of broken wooden shutters & windows which were operated by sash cords and weights. JNJ prepared a clear description, budget, and time plan for the work which they kept to. The quality of the brick work was excellent, and they took care to use the existing bricks where possible. The shutters were successfully replaced with new cords and weights. Overall, JNJ did a first-class job and were friendly and reliable throughout the work. They had a professional approach and worked well with the separate firm who replaced the windows and who had been recommended through JNJ.

Jamie & his teams completed a porch extension for my mother-in-law last year, to include a new downstairs toilet that she needed. They provided a comprehensive quote, committed to a convenient start date and agreed a sensible payment programme to protect both parties. There were a number of challenges on the job that they successsfully overcame, but meant that it did over run slightly. However, they did undertake additional works that my mother-in-law requested, at a cost that reflected that they were already on site. The standard of work was high and team members friendly, with my mother-in-law comfortable to have them in her home. Finishing some minor snagging at the end took a little time, but understandable as they had moved on to another job. All completed successfully on budget & a good job done.
