About
Switch Green Electrical is a Forest Hill based domestic electrical company run by Joel Buckwell. Switch Green Electrical specialises in small electrical tasks, consumer unit replacements and electrical repairs. Joel first became an electrician in 2003 and has been a sole trader since 2011. He runs his business on honesty and reliability. All work undertaken is carried out to the latest BS7671 standards.
'All Hands and Hearts' are a non profit volunteer based organisation that helps rebuild and improve areas in the aftermath of a natural disaster anywhere in the world. Joel has first hand experience working for them as a volunteer in Nepal, Peru and offers them electrical advice & guidance to keep their projects and volunteers safe.
The value of the redundant and excess cable collected from jobs undertaken is donated to All Hands And Hearts. Redundant cable usually gets thrown in the skip but here it is scrapped, recycled and the cash is donated to help disaster struck communities get rebuilt

Joel at Switch Green Electrical was recommended to me by my parents. They appreciate great workmanship and value for money so I already knew he would do a great job. Joel completed two batches of work for me. On the first visit he tackled a long list of small but annoying electrical tasks that I'd left unfixed for too long. These included replacing broken dimmer switches and checking flickering lights. He listened patiently to my concerns and clearly explained the options for fixing these issues. At the end of the first visit, I consulted Joel about installing under cupboard lights. He offered good advice and a very reasonable quote so I asked him to return to complete the job. I'm so glad I did because they have made such an improvement to the kitchen lighting. Joel is very organised and efficient, and he left the area where he worked clean and tidy. He is also a very personable and interesting person with excellent knowledge of his trade. I would not hesitate to recommend him to you!

I can highly recommend Joel. He fitted a new heater in my living room advising on the sort of heater I needed. Delivered great work and fitted it at relatively short notice when weather was particularly cold which was much appreciated. He kept disruption to a minimum and was very personable. Very competitive on price also.

Joel fitted a cooker in the kitchen, a fan, lights over the cooker and a radiator in the bathroom. Even though the jobs turned out to be a little more complex than we expected, Joel did great work, with good humour, tidily, promptly and at a very good price. We could not have asked for more!
