I can highly recommend Joel. He fitted a new heater in my living room advising on the sort of heater I needed. Delivered great work and fitted it at relatively short notice when weather was particularly cold which was much appreciated. He kept disruption to a minimum and was very personable. Very competitive on price also.

Joel fitted a cooker in the kitchen, a fan, lights over the cooker and a radiator in the bathroom. Even though the jobs turned out to be a little more complex than we expected, Joel did great work, with good humour, tidily, promptly and at a very good price. We could not have asked for more!

My friend recommended Joel and I am so glad she did! Just 2 small jobs to upgrade a light fitting, and change a single socket to a double. Joel was easy to communicate with to arrange the job, arrived when he said he would and completed the work promptly for what I would say was a very reasonable price. Some small accidental damage occurred to the back of the wall whilst replacing the socket. Joel informed me and went about repairing and filling the blown plaster without hesitation. Everything was left very clean and tidy. Really pleased to find such a nice electrician locally, will definitely refer to him again for my future jobs and recommend him to my friends and neighbours. Can't recommend Joel highly enough. Very professional, great advice and excellent work. He's now done a range of things for me on my new home, from improvements to the lighting system to installing a towel heater in the bathroom to replacing the consumer unit. Joel replaced some failed downlights in our bathroom with LED units a while ago. We have been very happy with the result. He came this week to replace similar lights in a different room. He arrived punctually and carried out the work quickly and effectively. His price was very reasonable. We discussed some additional work I was considering, his advice was detailed, comprehensive, thorough and honest. I will certainly employ him again when I need further electrical work.

Joel is a very thorough electrician and provides great customer service, his quotes have always been 100% accurate. He has carried out a number of jobs for us and has done them all well. He never is in a rush to get onto the next job and is a very easy person to have around. He is very reasonably priced, compared to other quotes we have received for the same jobs and is always punctual and respectful.

Using my oven at an unusually high temperature on a rarely used programme had tripped our power supply. I needed to know whether the problem lay with the circuit, or with the oven. I had no hesitation in turning to Joel for advice as he had given excellent service on a couple of previous small jobs. He gave the power supply an admirably thorough check, for a very modest charge, and was able to give it a clean bill of health.

Joel replaced all the halogen spots in my flat with LED units, changed a couple of dimmer switches, made an update to the fuse box and fitted two double plug sockets. I also asked him to get my cooker hood and light working, but he told me I should try just changing the fuse first - and that worked. He came round to quote for the work soon after I contacted him, sent a detailed estimate promptly, and slotted the job into his schedule. I was very happy with the work, and Joel was great to deal with from start to finish, and a really nice guy.

Joel has carried out several jobs for me this year. He is an excellent electrician and his work is of the highest professional standard. Joel has rewired my new garden shed and replaced the cable running from the house to the shed. He has also replaced my fuse box, fitted a new extractor fan in the bathroom, repaired a socket and ceiling light and wired new light fittings and a doorbell. I am retired and Joel is respectful of my house and works in a diligent, efficient and orderly manner. His work looks good and he leaves no mess. The extent of his experience is evident in the solutions he recommends and I welcome his proactive approach in giving advice on components in my house that require updating. Throughout the work Joel was especially helpful, he suggested fittings, sending me links to look at and responded promptly to my queries in emails. All around Joel is also an absolute pleasure to work with.

Joel came twice earlier this month to repair our doorbell and a couple of faulty LED light fittings. On both occasions, he was punctual and very good at communicating what he was doing, and carried out the work in a competent and tidy manner. As it turned out that we needed a new bell, he explained what was needed and checked in the time between visits that we were happy with the model he was suggesting. We are very pleased with his work, and would certainly recommend him to others.

Joel conducted a comprehensive electrical survey which showed various issues to be expected in an older house including items not up to current codes and a disconnected earth left by Thames Water after installing a new mains stop cock. These were all factored into his quotation for the job which was to correct these issues and install a new fuse board. All the work was done to schedule even if it meant working late to get it done. He explained all the technicalities, replaced a faulty light circuit in the basement and downstairs toilet, installed a new combi microwave which had needed a higher rated supply than that already in situe, hoovered up after himself and came back promptly to fix a faulty light switch which we hadn't noticed when checking everything after the installation Joel is hardworking, professional, worth every penny and a thoroughly nice guy

Helpful, friendly and communicative when seeking quotes and advice. Very happy with a ventilation fan replacement, removal of an old consumer unit, wire removal and change of light fittings and smoke alarms. Would recommend!

It is the second time we rely on Joel for electrical work at our house. Each time he’s been extremely helpful, prompt and very nice. He helped us choosing the right fittings and gave us a clearer understanding of our old Victorian house’s electrics - explaining things thoroughly and being very open and transparent about the work we needed. I can recommend Switch Green Electrical without reservation. I had a different company carry out an Electrical Report but they found four things that 'required further investigation' and they didn't seem able to say what that might cost or involve. I contacted Joel who replied very promptly, looked at the report and called round next evening to have a look. He then sent me a much more sensible estimate and limited two items that did need further investigation to no more then 2 hours work - so I knew I was in control of the situation and costs. In the end he was able to do all the work, identify and resolve all issues and come in under his estimate - and below the previous company's estimate. He was always on time and kept me informed and involved in what needed doing. He came up with solutions that were not only much less work and cost than the other company but also far more workable, sensible and convenient, whilst being fully compliant and safe. This, I think, was due to his good experience and ability to problem solve. He is an experienced, highly competent, reliable, honest and trustworthy person. If ever I have any need of an electrician I would definitely call Joel.

Joel sorted out some problems after building work left us without lights in several rooms. We recently purchased a Victorian conversion flat, and Joel has performed a number of jobs for us, including installing lights and electrical sockets, relocating a fuse board, running ethernet cable, and more. I contacted Joel to replace a socket, broken extractor and faulty kitchen lighting. He responded straight away, turned up on time and was very easy to deal with.
