Joel is a very thorough electrician and provides great customer service, his quotes have always been 100% accurate. He has carried out a number of jobs for us and has done them all well. He never is in a rush to get onto the next job and is a very easy person to have around. He is very reasonably priced, compared to other quotes we have received for the same jobs and is always punctual and respectful.

Using my oven at an unusually high temperature on a rarely used programme had tripped our power supply. I needed to know whether the problem lay with the circuit, or with the oven. I had no hesitation in turning to Joel for advice as he had given excellent service on a couple of previous small jobs. He gave the power supply an admirably thorough check, for a very modest charge, and was able to give it a clean bill of health.

Joel replaced all the halogen spots in my flat with LED units, changed a couple of dimmer switches, made an update to the fuse box and fitted two double plug sockets. I also asked him to get my cooker hood and light working, but he told me I should try just changing the fuse first - and that worked. He came round to quote for the work soon after I contacted him, sent a detailed estimate promptly, and slotted the job into his schedule. I was very happy with the work, and Joel was great to deal with from start to finish, and a really nice guy.

Joel has carried out several jobs for me this year. He is an excellent electrician and his work is of the highest professional standard. Joel has rewired my new garden shed and replaced the cable running from the house to the shed. He has also replaced my fuse box, fitted a new extractor fan in the bathroom, repaired a socket and ceiling light and wired new light fittings and a doorbell. I am retired and Joel is respectful of my house and works in a diligent, efficient and orderly manner. His work looks good and he leaves no mess. Joel came twice earlier this month to repair our doorbell and a couple of faulty LED light fittings. On both occasions, he was punctual and very good at communicating what he was doing, and carried out the work in a competent and tidy manner. As it turned out that we needed a new bell, he explained what was needed and checked in the time between visits that we were happy with the model he was suggesting. We are very pleased with his work, and would certainly recommend him to others.

Joel conducted a comprehensive electrical survey which showed various issues to be expected in an older house including items not up to current codes and a disconnected earth left by Thames Water after installing a new mains stop cock. These were all factored into his quotation for the job which was to correct these issues and install a new fuse board. All the work was done to schedule even if it meant working late to get it done. He explained all the technicalities, replaced a faulty light circuit in the basement and downstairs toilet, installed a new combi microwave which had needed a higher rated supply than that already in situe, hoovered up after himself and came back promptly to fix a faulty light switch which we hadn't noticed when checking everything after the installation Joel is hardworking, professional, worth every penny and a thoroughly nice guy

It is the second time we rely on Joel for electrical work at our house. Each time he’s been extremely helpful, prompt and very nice. I can recommend Switch Green Electrical without reservation. I had a different company carry out an Electrical Report but they found four things that 'required further investigation' and they didn't seem able to say what that might cost or involve. I contacted Joel who replied very promptly, looked at the report and called round next evening to have a look. He then sent me a much more sensible estimate and limited two items that did need further investigation to no more then 2 hours work - so I knew I was in control of the situation and costs. In the end he was able to do all the work, identify and resolve all issues and come in under his estimate - and below the previous company's estimate. He was always on time and kept me informed and involved in what needed doing. He came up with solutions that were not only much less work and cost than the other company but also far more workable, sensible and convenient, whilst being fully compliant and safe. This, I think, was due to his good experience and ability to problem solve. He is an experienced, highly competent, reliable, honest and trustworthy person. If ever I have any need of an electrician I would definitely call Joel.

Joel recently completed three jobs for us (sorting out a flickering light, replacing a noisy extractor fan, and finding the problem in a "dead" cooker hood) over two visits, and was punctual, polite, efficient, tidy and communicative throughout. Joel was excellent- he is really knowledgeable and gave us great advice and suggestions to modernise the electrics in our 1960s first home. From the first point of contact, he was friendly and communicative. We needed an extractor fan in the bathroom and he liaised with another great tradesperson to build a new ceiling with ceiling lights - it’s been a real game changer and has modernised our bathroom. Joel has assisted us in electrical works throughout our pre-move in refurbishment work done from November 2022 to January 2023. The works that we have engaged his services on includes: consumer unit installation, lighting installations, sockets + light switches installation and intercom installation. He has always been prompt in responding to our request for service, provided us with detailed and transparent invoicing plus very polite in his dealing with us. His electrical work is top-notch, and he has helped us find solutions that best suit us such as getting an easy smart lighting set-up using Philips Hue system. For a first time home owner, his assistance throughout the process was very helpful for us as he guided us throughout the electrical work journey and has helped us feel confident in the electrical set-up in the property due to his tremendous work performed.

Joel arrived on time, did the work - earth bonding wire to gas meter, installing light in garage, adding two double sockets in living room - with no fuss, minimum disruption and to the agreed price. He explained exactly what he was doing and tested everything thoroughly. A pleasant experience all round.

We had wiring for old wall lights that needed removing and making safe at the wall swich. Joel checked the wiring for us and discovered that the cables to the wall lights were connected to the circuit via a hidden junction box rather than behind the wall switch, which he explained to us clearly. This was before we moved in, so we didn't know how the wall lights had been fitted. As we are replacing the carpet in that room, he suggested looking under the floorboards for a junction box when the carpet is up and the floorboards can be lifted, and we agreed to get back in touch with him. He also replaced five wall switches for us. All the work was done quickly and neatly with minimum disruption to us

Joel was able to help us with a EICR Report and some faulty lights in another apartment. He was reliable, communicative and good value for the job he carried out. We will be continuing to use his services where possible

Joel really did a fantastic job for us completing a full electrical re-wire of a 1960’s mid mod house in July and August. The works involved installing new wiring throughout the house, chasing in cables, installing plaster in downlights and pendants as well as new sockets throughout the house. He also installed a new fuse box and tested everything + certs. Joel is a an excellent electrician and great communicator, we discussed some complex stuff and he always gave great advice.

I needed an electrician to check and fix the electrics of the house I had recently moved in to. I found Joel through Which Trusted Traders - and I’m really happy he agreed to take on the job! From the very beginning, Joel was reliable, responsive and super clear about how long the work would take and how much it would cost. In the end, he had to make a few visits as there were several problems with the electrical installation of the house. He explained clearly what he would do in each visit and he was always on time. He also made sure everything was clean and in good working order after every visit. I contact Switch Green Electrical when I needed power running out to a new garden shed and the installation of lights and power sockets. After a quick initial phone call, Joel popped over to take a look at the situation and arranged a time to return to complete the work. First time I used Switch Green Electrical and extremely glad I did. Joel replaced 16 recessed downlights for LED's, replaced an extractor fan and fit a spur to enable the relocation of a tumble dryer. His work and finish is excellent. Everything was within the agreed budget and the work was completed well within schedule. During the initial consultation Joel was very helpful in advising us on the best way to run an additional spur to ensure that the work was not only safe but, aesthetically pleasing, even though it potentially meant extra work for him to avoid using trunking and with minimal disruption. Showed up within a couple of days to give me the quote, really spent the time understanding the work I wanted done, and helped me understand that one particular job would have been just way too complicated to try and pull off. I had to chase to get the quotation (not the end of the world), but we set a date and Joel stuck to it, and arrived bang on time. Joel changed the fuse box, rewired all existing sockets, added new sockets, fitted dimmer switches, fitted new lights across the flat (recessed and hanging), fitted under cupboard LEDs and new smoke alarms. Joel completed a complex and messy job of rewiring our downstairs lighting circuit, after we had had persistent problems with fuses popping out. It's a large Victorian house that has been subject to major alterations in the past, and the cabling is all over the place. We had electrical problems in the kitchen of a flat. We got Joel in after another electrician said the job was too complicated and may involve ripping up the floor and kitchen units. Joel was responsive, wrote clear e-mails, told us exactly when he could visit, and then did the entire job for significantly less than we had feared it might cost, without damage to the kitchen. He also recorded clearly in writing his findings and what remedial action he took. We own other flats and will now give him all our work.

Joel has been very helpful in carrying out some awkward smaller fixes - replacing two downlighters in a shower room, removing an old pond pump cable and installing a wall mounted electric heater - which had been hanging over us for ages. Joel has been fantastic. He been doing bits and pieces at our flat for a little while, which isn't always easy as it's an old converted building that initially had some very strange wiring. He's restored circuits with the minimum of disruption and damage and put right non-standard work done by another contractor and upgraded various switches and radiators for us. I've recommended him to a few friends who all have had great experiences too.

I called Joel late on a Sunday night when he was just going to bed, as I had a problem with a circuit tripping. He came out within minutes instead of going to bed, even though I had thought he couldn't do this. When he arrived the issue took only minutes to sort out, so he wouldn't take any money, even though he could have charged me at the emergency call-out rate. I was very grateful and look forward to when I need some more substantial work doing as I will definitely contact him.

We had a difficult problem with a circuit cutting out that could have meant having a complete rewire. Joel was able to locate the source and fix it without needing this. A really skilled person who I would definitely trust and strongly recommend for any electrical work.
