John - the manager - came out before job started to discuss and check proposed job - very friendly , courteous and professional as were the 2 team members who came out to do the job . French windows and front doors adjustments and work to large window at side of house all carried out in a speedy manner . The result of this work : my doors are now draught-free and side window now has the proper work carried out on it that the builder should have done . All in all great job . 5 star . Would I recommend : yes , certainly

Phoned 1st April (ironic I know) to request a quote. Very nice gentleman duly arrived measures up and leaves. Quote arrives by email 14 April and I phone immediately to accept and request a fitting date. A rather abrupt lady told me I'd have to wait, it would be a couple of weeks and they'd be in touch. Feeling duly chastised, I said OK, that's fine, thank you. Fed up waiting, on 13 June I emailed (scared to face brusque lady again) asking if they were going to attend so I could find someone else to do the work. Lady phoned, said there was some mistake as they had no record of my quote acceptance (phone call in my phone log), I explained and again was told, oh well it'll be a couple of weeks. No probs, say I, as long as I know someone is coming. Here I am still waiting, on 19 July. Really Armour Home Improvements, if you don't want the job, just say so. Do better.

A thoroughly professional team of installers replaced original wooden windows, doors and roofline materials to our house on the Isle of Arran with high quality UPVC equivalents. Excellent communication with us prior to and throughout the four day installation. Careful and tidy removal of old materials, with unhurried installation of new items. Internal original timber sills and bathroom tiles retained throughout. Mastic work to a very high standard. Minimal disturbance, with house back to normal, including sparkling new windows, as they left. Competitive price, especially as location is on Isle of Arran. Very pleased to recommend.

The work from this company is truly excellent. The job was surveyed promptly and communication about when the job was to be done was accurate. The windows and roofline are of very good quality and made in Scotland. The team who fitted the items were a joy to have around. I can’t believe how much warmer the rooms in which the new windows were fitted are. Overall a local company using Scottish products doing an exemplary job.

Needed new windows on my property so after doing my research, contacted Armour Home Improvements to request a quote and was immediately impressed with the friendly service. Their surveyor came out to give me a quote which I accepted, The windows were fitted by a very professional team who not only paid great attention to the fitting but also to my home which was carefully covered with dustsheets, the workmen hoovered and tidied after the installation, what a team!! Armour Home Improvements recently supplied and installed 12 replacement double glazed windows and a new composite front door in our home. We received quotes from four companies (including Armour) and carefully considered the reviews for each before making a decision. Armour was the only company who didn’t sit in our lounge for hours or hound us every other day to make a decision to proceed. The reviews for Armour were excellent compared with their competitors and they couldn’t be beat on price coming in several thousand pounds cheaper. The actual installation was earlier than expected and was done with the minimum of disruption and mess. We wanted to retain a lot of the original surrounds and cills and were concerned about tiles being damaged in our bathroom so we were absolutely delighted to find not a single one cracked and only a couple of small cracks on the original surrounds that were easily repaired. A couple of days after the installation we had a small issue with one of the windows not closing which we were told was common as the windows settle. Armour had someone out half an hour after we phoned and the window realigned within the hour. We really can’t recommend Armour enough- brilliant local supplier on value, quality and customer service with an insurance backed guarantee.

From the moment John came to give me the quote the process was simple and easy. The windows were measured and ordered. . The company only asked for a small deposit putting no risk onto me at all. I was given a date for install and windows were fitted by 2 lads who were very clean and Tidy. It was very clear they know what they were talking about making the install very straight forward.

We were in need of replacing our front door that past its end-of-life date and thought to give Armour Home Improvements a try, after a recommendation by an other business years ago. The whole process from start to finish was well handled by Armour Home Improvements (AHI) and they took the time to answer all of our questions. They were also very patient during the process of choosing the right front door. We did have quite a few change of minds with the various colours and options available and at no time did we have the impression that AHI got impatient or annoyed with us. Installation was also carried out very professionally and apart from the usual noise from the power tools hardly disturbed our daily routine. They also tidied up very neatly at the end of the day - probably the tidiest company I have ever seen! Very happy with our new front door and the service received. Highly recommend!

They dismantled the roof, windows and door of the old conservatory and erected new frame, roof, windows and door. The tradesmen worked hard all day every day. They laid plywood and sheets to protect my wooden flooring and tidied at the end of every day. The job was done to the agreed schedule and budget. The tradesmen were pleasant and just got on with the job. I would use them again.

We went with Armour after seeing the reviews and were not disappointed. Really friendly people, knowledgeable, and helpful. We got 9 new windows fitted, some very large, and a new front door, which we are delighted with. Chris and Leo were great, answering any questions we had during the install. Will be back in touch with them once we decide what we’re doing with the other door/window!

We used Armour based on local recommendations. Everything worked well, from the initial query through to the installation. The pricing was reasonable and the people we dealt with were all very helpful. The difference it has made to the overall look of my property is incredible. We'd been tempted just to go with one of the big national firms initially just as I assumed it would be easier. I won't be tempted again, and this local firm will be recommended by me to anyone looking for installation of doors etc.

Really pleased with the new roofline and guttering we’ve just had fitted. What a terrific difference it’s made to our home. From the initial quote to fitting it took around 10 weeks which in my opinion is great given the difficulties faced within the supply chain right now. The quote was fully detailed and explained everything that would happen and speaking to the team throughout they kept me fully informed. I felt the quote was extremely competitive with other firms and opted to proceed with Armour as a result of their status with Which and scores on Trustpilot. The workmen were terrific, clean and tidy throughout and have completed the work to an extremely high standard. We did have one minor hiccup with a join of the fascia’s to next door and it was fixed within less than 24 hours following a call to the office. I can’t recommend the company enough. Delighted with the finish.

Arrived, hard pressed by ferries, weather and time. Buckled down, got on with it, and worked hard and long hours to get the job done. Nothing too difficult. Great attention to detail. Good result.

Recently had a new front door installed by Armour from the salesman coming out to guys fitting door who did an amazing job and cleared up any mess service has been excellent most impressed by the lack of hard-sell they come out to take the measurements to talk you through the choice of doors then leave a few days later email prices no having to try and get rid of salesperson would definitely recommend to friends and family

We had a new Palladio front door fitted by Armour Home Improvements. The door was fitted ahead of schedule -great service and workmanship. Organised and professional from the start with excellent communication throughout.

From our first contact with Armour until the completion of the job we have had a great experience. The work was surveyed, impartial advice on door choices given and a very competitive quote provided. At no time did we feel obligated to accept the quote or pressurised into making a decision. The team replaced three external doors and an internal door and created a new, enclosed porch. The major work was carried out in two days with the minimum of disruption or mess. The team were polite and ensured we were satisfied with the job and kept up to date with progress. The doors are fitted perfectly and there is no damage to any plasterwork surrounding the frames. A first class job and we would use Armour again for any other home improvements and have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Armour home improvements fitted three new doors on two properties for me and I must say it's been a long time since I've experienced that kind of service from a tradesperson(s). From the pleasantness of the salesperson who did the initial quote through to the assistant managers visit double double checking measurements and giving advice, to the engineer who did the job. This made it such an easy process. The engineers attention to detail was astounding.

I originally selected Armour Home Improvements to provide a quote to replace all my windows and doors as they were a 'Which' recommended business. John and his son came out promptly to assess the work and submitted a very competitive quote which I was more than happy to accept. There were some delays due to supply difficulties brought about by lockdown but John kept me fully apprised until my full order was delivered. His team turned up on the agreed fitting date and completed the work over a few days. I have deliberately held back on submitting a review to see how they would deal with any potential snagging issues. We required a couple of minor adjustments and Armour have returned to address these. The quality of their products and workmanship has been excellent so I can wholly recommend them to anyone looking to replace their windows and doors.
