Jon Pritchard Ltd

We first met with Jon at the end of last year to talk about our project. After the first meeting it quickly came apparent why Jon's company came highly recommended and we were more than happy to go ahead with the work. We had a slightly unusual build in that we had originally engaged with another company who went out of business leaving us with a barely started project. Because of this, our process with Jon's team was slightly truncated (the design phase wasn't required) but it's clear from the excellent documentation provided that this would have been as smooth as the rest of the process. From the start of the build to the end we were kept up to date with progress and the next phases in the plan. The team that Jon uses are truly excellent - all highly professional with a focus on a high quality result that met our needs exactly. They would turn up bang on time in the morning, work hard all day and then clean up before leaving in the evening. We genuinely couldn't have asked for any more. Overall we are absolutely delighted with the space we've got and the process that got us there. We can thoroughly recommend Jon Pritchard.

We used Jon Pritchard for a loft-extension (with dormer) for our end of terrace Victorian property. The process was extremely smooth from end to end, with a clear specification of work and discussions ahead of work commencing to specify exactly what we wanted. The work was carried out extremely efficiently, and within the timeframe estimated at the outset. The whole team was courteous and polite, and very happy to accommodate changes or make suggestions as to different options as work progressed. We were also extremely impressed by the team’s willingness to be flexible in relation to when different steps happened, stairs fitted, plastering etc. to work around our schedules (in particular, the arrival of our newborn mid-project!) Our neighbours have all commented on how polite members of the team were, and that their properties were left tidy following works being completed. We are delighted with our loft conversion, which is exactly what we envisaged. An extremely professional outfit - would recommend without hesitation.

We employed Jon Pritchard Ltd for a rear dormer conversion on Jan 2023. We couldn’t be happier with the result. A family member who works in the sector commented positively on the quality of the work at all stages. A local roofer was very impressed by the work of JP Ltd’s roofers. The plastering work was impeccable. The scaffolders were very careful. They focus strongly on effective and clear communication with the customer, both in person but also through Coconstruct. The team were responsive, respectful, discrete and very pleasant. Took a lot of stress out of the works! They finished the works in just two months (luckily, it didn’t rain while they were still building the roof). They’d vacuum and rub the corridor and stairs with wet wipes at the end of each day. At the end of the project, they also cleared our bathroom roof and gutters off debris and stones and cleaned the exterior areas at the front and back of the house. Despite the unavoidable noise and dust, it was a pleasure to have them around. Accountability is taken seriously by the company. They forgot to provide us with an emergency number, which we desperately needed when all the newly installed smoke alarms went off on a Friday night at 1AM. We wrote a complaint email to Jon, to which he responded promptly and took full responsibility about the incident and gave us his personal number. They’re a few thousand more expensive than the average company, but it certainly pays off. Highly recommended. Thanks very much!

Loft conversions in the 2020's are not cheap, even compared to 5-10 years ago. This means you will want to be extra careful who you work with. We decided to go with Jon Pritchard because of strong local recommendations and I'm please to say they lived up to these high expectations. The three standout features I would say are 1. they work to an agreed budget, any additions were our ask and costed as a variation, there was no cost creep on their side 2. the team are excellent, Dom led the project and is friendly and accessible, always happy to answer questions and asking for feedback during the build - they really care about the job and want to do their best. 3. comms is good throughout and its easy to raise a request or ask a question on the coconstruct app. So, like many others before us, we have no hesitation recommending Jon Pritchard. The only thing I'd say to would be loft converters is leave enough money in your budget to redecorate your house after - your new loft will make your other rooms look tatty!

We particularly appreciated the financial transparency as things changed on our build. The contractors they used were excellent and timely.

It was been a pleasure to work with Jon Pritchard from start to finish. Firstly they really listened to what we wanted and the loft was designed on our terms. Other companies had their template they wanted to stick to but we’ve ended up with a bespoke loft conversion that has totally transformed our house. Price wise they were middle of the road, we did get caught up in the drastically high increase in materials which stretched our budget but overall we feel it’s been very good value. Each of the team was fantastic, they totally took the stress out of our build. We have 3 young children and everyone was kind and considerate throughout. Huge credit to Dom and Matt who were here for the duration. Cannot recommend this company enough for your loft conversion in the Bristol area

Overall very good work and service from Jon Pritchard ltd. Particular compliments to Harry and Jack who were very hard working, respectful, great at communicating with us and very tidy. We were very impressed. The wider team were also generally great to work with, although some of the other members of the team did not communicate or tidy up to the same high standard as Harry and Jack, but maybe those who pop in less often are super busy with other jobs on. All the work completed has been to a high standard and we have had no issues now we have been using the loft for a few weeks.
