It could be quite easy to write a review about JR Roofing...simply copy and paste all the 5 star reviews already done, but they deserve more. JR have just done a full roof, barge boards, soffits, gutterings, down spouts on our bungalow, and have done a tremendous job. We did our homework beforehand and were impressed by all the 5 star reviews they already had, and so shortlisted them. We got several quotes but were again impressed by the no nonsense straightforward approach from Josh and the suggestions he put forward. The quote for the work came through very quickly, fully itemised with lead times, and very competitive. Contact with Danielle in the office showed they were always on the ball. They are in demand so forward plan and be flexible with dates. When the work started, the team turned up on time and after making introductions got straight down to work. They are a young team, all in house trained and gave full attention and energy to the job. They were polite and respectful at all times, and very efficient in their work. Despite at times some terrible weather they worked hard and even amused us with their singing. they cleaned up at the end of each day and kept disruption to a minimum. Without any hesitation we would highly recommend them on all counts, quality of work, price, communication and customer focus. Thank you JR for a job well done.

The work at my property involved new ridge tiles using dry fix, to bungalow and garage and with all prep work involved. New fascia's, soffits and all rainwater plastics fitted, along with all the underlying work too. What a transformation ! Work was done quickly and efficiently, the lads were a friendly bunch and tidied up each day too ! Would not hesitate in using them again as any little query has been dealt with quickly. But I do think my wife and I need to get a bigger kettle ! 😂 Also just to point out, Danielle does a great job too. Many thanks everyone !

The work was completed as described and for the price agreed. Roof surveyed early September. Was told couldn’t be undertaken until the following February. In the event it took place in January. It was worth the wait. The work was undertaken professionally and courteously and the young team worked with great commitment in adverse weather. New dry ridges look great and I no longer have to worry about bits of mortar falling on the car. Communication was excellent throughout including the provision of photos of the work. Scaffolding was removed promptly. Overall experience was positive and certainly deserving of trusted trader status.

I would like to thank Josh and his team at JR Roofing Lancs Ltd for completing the work on two flat roofs and a chimney stack at my house in such an efficient and timely manner. Josh gave me alot of advice when he came to look at the work I needed and his knowledge and experience helped me to make an informed choice about which type of flat roofing material I was going to choose.I would absolutely recommend this company and will definitely be using them again for my next roofing job!

Well where do I begin. I have the utmost admiration for Josh and his team who have recently got me out of a very unpleasant situation. The service they have provided has been the best I have ever had from any tradesman. The work was carried out to an impeccable standard in more than a timely fashion. They are an extremely hard working team who are very friendly but also very professional. Josh is now definitely my go to tradesman and should also be yours. Thanks a million Josh for all that you have done.

Our house is a 2 storey 1930s Accrington brick version. For some time, I've been trying various ways to contact a decent roofer who can identify the source of a leak in the area around the base of one of the fairly tall chimneys, without success. If I can manage to persuade a roofer to even call, never mind identify the problem, they usually fail to return my calls, or else find totally different work as being essential. I have never met anyone from JR Roofing, but I spotted a professional - looking advert in a local directory. I didn't expect too much, but I couldn't have been more wrong; the Boss arrived dead on time the next day and told me what he said would be the problem, took some drone pictures, and followed all this with a very detailed file containing all I needed to know. Best of all, he was able to arrange for a local firm of scaffolders to add their costs to the quote, so I had no need to deal with them. The job ( completely remove one chimney and replace with new battens, insulation, tiles etc)took less than a full day and the scaffolding took a few hours either side of this. Everywhere was left in a tidy state. There was no question of paying with cash, so I knew where I stood from the outset I cannot praise this Company's professionalism too highly.

Had a complete re-roof including re-installation of 3 Velux windows. The roof is now fully insulated. Chimney ground out and repointed. Re-flaunched chimney stack and re-bedding of chimney pots. Cannot speak highly enough of Josh and his team. Considering the task involved there was minimum disruption. Everything was cleaned down on a daily basis and rubbish removed. Any queries I had were answered immediately. The service I received was first class, which is most unusual in this day and age. In fact, if I could award 10 stars instead of 5, I would.

My first enquiry with J R Roofing was with Danielle who soon arranged for it to be surveyed. Within two days a price for the job was quoted. We were shown on camera the problem. We had heard of so many builders over exaggerating the problem that it was a great relief to find builders who were honest and true . The lads who did the job were very punctual and professional, they did a first class job. If I was asked would I use JRRoofing again I’d say I’d be a fool not to . We are blessed to have a good honest reliable builder literally on our doorstep.

We were having problems with our flat roof in our orangery which was leaking when it rains. After speaking to Josh on the phone he arranged to call and look at the problem. He arrived on time was very knowledgeable and explained to us why the water was leaking into the house and gave us a few options to think about. We decided to have the whole of the flat roof replaced and finished in the fibreglass Restec Flexitec dark grey. It also meant that the roof lantern had to be removed and put back on once the roof was replaced. Josh and his team have done an excellent job, super efficient so tidy the lads were great worked really hard and the roof was completed with no problems at all. Josh certainly knows his job and we knew after speaking to him he was the person to do the job Thanks, Josh and the team for everything, we are so pleased with our new roof and highly recommend to anybody that needs a Roofing company to get in touch with JR Roofing.

Contacted jr roofing due to 2 leaks at my property. He managed to get out to me that day as I said I was worried, I have a new born baby and the last thing I want is leaks. Josh came out him self and checked the roof with his drone. Pretty cool I must say ! Spotted some broken tiles and a couple more issues. Was back 4 days later (much fast than other companies offered) and replaced all the broken and cracked tiles, got a cover for an external vent which was leaking in and also fixed some other bits. So to be honest they went above and beyond. All for a very fair price. Can’t thank them enough, massively recommend!

A fair price quoted for a job well done. We had to postpone the initial appointment to quote for the job twice but they were very understanding. They came on time and quoted a fair price and managed to fit the job in earlier than originally arranged which was ideal for us. We would not hesitate to use them again . It was refreshing to deal with a company who actually want to give a quote and turn up on time!

Having had 'cowboy' roofers, I was very wary of who to decide on for the job. I'd had lots of quotes but wasn't convinced and all seemed desperate for the job. When Josh called from JR Roofing, his knowledge outshone the others. He spent time with me, showed me many photos and options, wasn't at all 'pushy, and when he said the job couldn't be done for a few months as they were so busy, that helped clinch my decision. I wasn't sure what colour or shape of hip tiles, with my property being older, but each week they provided me with a different address to view, until I had decided. Once here working, I was kept informed each day, the team were always on time, polite, hard working, and cleared up each day. Although I only had new style hip and ridge tiles, any old roof tiles were replaced and gutters cleared and checked at the end. Would definitely recommend this team. Well done to all!

I have a problem with my roof which 3 roofer's have been unable to fix(at much cost). I rang JR ROOFING-BLACKPOOL. Josh came the same day and within 15 minutes had found out what the problem was. JR Roofing Ltd are exceptional roofers. They worked through rain, wind and snow to strip and fit a whole new roof, front and back to our house. This included new soffits, fascia's and guttering. They completed within the agreed budget and timescale. Ultimately Josh and his team were always polite, professional, on time, tidy, and showed a great passion and pride in their work. Josh made two special unique features for our roof. He cast them himself from lead. A skull on wings for the chimney stack and roman numerals MMXX11on the lower roof. The front and rear roof both have a beautiful diamond pattern in the slate tiles that had to be cut by hand. From the original meeting to discuss a quote to the end of the job Josh and the team were very helpful, informative and it was easy to discuss any concerns that I had regarding damp and insulation. We had regular checkpoint talks to discuss progress and photos of before and after were supplied. They cleaned up at the end of each day and disposed of all the debris. At the end of the job they cleared and swept all areas. Having a whole new roof is a pretty daunting task especially through storm Eunice!! (80mph winds) But Josh and the team made the whole experience as stress free and as painless as possible. They are a great team and we had plenty of laughs and brews on the way. Thank you guys.

I live just off the "Prom" in Blackpool, with wind, salt and sand implications, and needed a quick response to what I thought was an "iffy" part of my south-facing, slated main roof. Josh was able to give me the possible short and long term repair requirements without any OTT statements.

Josh, Jimmy and Sonny have done outstanding work in replacing my old leaking flat roofed garage, using GRP Fibreglass plus new guttering, thus turning it back into a usable garage. They worked within the timescale as agreed and the end result was certainly value for money using quality materials. The lads are reliable, hardworking and very conscientious. They remove all waste at the end of each day, and at the end of the job, they left my garden in the clean and tidy state they found it in when they arrived to start the work. To find a reliable, caring and professional roofer in the aspect of completing a quality reroofing is difficult. I had eight visits from prospective, enthusiastic and hopeful roofing companies to give me a quotation. The quotes varied massively from cowboy cheap to very expensive, ranging almost £10,000 Josh of JR Roofing turned up on the agreed date to give me a quotation. I was very immediately impressed by his knowledge, the time he took to explain and then direct me to view various other houses in my locality. You know, when you have a good feeling about someone -I did pretty much straight away! When the work started, I was amazed by the team, Josh, Jimmy and Sony, hard-working with care, enthusiastic, and politely explaining every stage to me. Josh would send regular Whatsapp photos showing each step and progress of the roofing and Oh yes, and no smoking! Wow, how lucky I was to discover and commission Josh and his very capable lads. Quality tradespeople, in my opinion, are hard to come by and to my cost, I realise you cannot trust the so-called positive reviews you see on some sites. I have been a member of Which? for some years and I am pleased to report that when they make a company a Which? Trusted Trader, it appears to be because they are at the top of their game. This is in my opinion from my dealings with Josh and his team. We had a terrible experience with the previous joiners we employed which resulted in the roof having to be redone by Josh, a quite challenging job that required skill and expertise. I never felt at any time that Josh would let me down or that the end result would be anything less than excellent. He is a true perfectionist and takes immense pride in his work. My only regret is that I didn’t get him in the first place. He is a complete professional.

We chose JR Roofing because of Which Trusted Traders and we were not disappointed. We had to wait 3 months for the work to commence because they were so busy, that though is a good sign even though we would have liked it completed earlier. Early September arrived along with the bad weather, on the first day it started raining. Nonetheless, they stripped the whole roof of the tiles and bitumen felt and installed a waterproof membrane to seal the roof, it rained heavily that night but not a sign of any leaks. Over the course of the next few days the roof was completed. They re-positioned our guttering so that we had better flow, they installed new lead flashing around the stack pipe and installed a rubber sleeve over the top of the stack pipe so it matches the colour of the roof instead of the horrible grey colour it was. A new dry verge was also installed. Josh and his team are very friendly and professional, they even took their shoes when using the toilet and that is something you do not always see. In December we had some very high winds which displaced some of the dry verge, I phone them in the morning and later that day they arrived to fix it (that I was not expecting). Since then we have had no further issues and our loft is dry and usable for storage. JR Roofing are probably not the cheapest around but you do get what you pay for, therefore, I have no qualms in recommending JR Roofing for your roofing needs.
