Just Plastered

Matt has completed three jobs for us in recent weeks. The addition of a hall door and insulating and replastering our sitting room and a bedroom. All three jobs have been done cleanly, quickly and very professionally. In addition Matt is a considerate and pleasant individual to be in the home. Excellent work - much recommended.

We engaged Matt to carry out his part in a top to bottom revamp of our lounge, everything from new lights to new carpet and furniture. Matt replastered the walls and ceiling which were suffering from serious Artex and Anaglypta poisoning! The now smooth ceiling and walls plus coving etc are of an exceptionally high standard of plastering which Matt then painted and finished, again to a very high standard. His attention to detail, care and accuracy are exemplary, extending even to adding a piece of trim to an existing boxing in of some pipes in a corner which transformed its appearance to something akin to a 'feature', and a vast improvement. He is very personable and clearly has an excellent work ethic. This must run in the family DNA as his brother Jeff (Claypool Property Services) then came to install oak skirting and architraving and a new oak door, again all to a top quality standard. We won't be looking anywhere else in the future if we need more of this kind of building work and decorating.

Matt and his brother came family recommended and took on quite the project with our newly purchased house. New floorboards, party walls and new plaster from top to bottom. The finish of the work and plastering completed was fantastic in the time frame agreed, but what also particularly stood out for me was his customer service, always on time, always followed through on his promises, and always there to chat to when we needed help and guidance (even for other jobs we were taking on ourselves). While renovating our property we found the combination of great work and great customer service hard to find, however Matt was a pleasure to deal with and has both of these mastered. Our experience with Matt and Geoff was first class from start to finish. Matt came out initially to price up the job and provide advice on what the best course of action might be to upgrade our cloakroom. The work, which involved removing existing tiles, re-plastering and fitting new toilet, radiator and basin, took four days. During this time they always arrived punctually, undertook the work with no fuss and tidied up after themselves at the end of each day. They were always polite and personable and ready to offer advice when we asked for their views. The work was completed on time and to price and it was finished to a very high standard that we could not fault. In summary, we would thoroughly recommend these guys and would have no hesitation in using them again.

Matt did a fantastic job of removing some old damaged plaster and re-plastering our kitchen wall, he also plastered over an Artex ceiling. Not only were we really impressed with the quality of his work on both of these jobs, but he was able to advise us on other bits of work that we needed doing - his knowledge and experience were invaluable and we were very grateful for this. He was punctual, polite, communication was excellent and left the spaces clean and tidy. Will certainly be using him again and would definitely recommend.

Matt plastered our large living room ceiling and several walls after a messy house rewire. Really pleased with the work. It’s now painted and it looks amazing Matt is polite, his work is neat, tidy and he has an attention to detail that gives an impressive finish. Will definitely use him again in the future.

We had a great experience with Matt who rendered our fireplace and laid a tile hearth for us easy for a wood burner. Matt was really responsive to messages and very flexible when we had an issue with the tile order. Quality of work was high. Matt was quick to identify a potential issue with our plans for the hearth and offered a quick and cost-effective solution. Really friendly and professional service.

Matt came to plaster our chimney breast before the installation of a fireplace. I was on-site building up kitchen units at the time. I was amazed by his professionalism, speed, level of finish and knowledge. He also shared some tips with me as I was building out damaged window sills and replastering small sections of the kitchen. He was friendly, arrived on time and we had a nice day working together in the same space. Oh, and the fireplace looks incredible now! Will be using again! Can't ask for more

Making arrangements with Matt was easy and he responded promptly to my messages. He arrived on time this morning to re-plaster the fireplace and lower chimney breast after the removal of an old gas fire. The result looks immaculate and the site has been left clean and tidy - can't ask for more than that!
