An excellent, prompt, and entirely professional job from beginning to end. K Barnard Brickwork gave a very reasonable quotation for a job that involved both external and internal work: replacing a leaking cast-iron downpipe, tidying up some external pointing, removing damp and damaged internal plaster, and then waterproofing and replastering a large section of a bedroom that had been affected by leaks and water damage from the broken downpipe. Keith, Ben, and Charlie completed the job within a day and a half: the level of professionalism and the attention to detail were exceptional, as was their efficiency and tidiness, their care for the property, their politeness, and their openness in explaining each step along the way. They were extremely patient while we waited for the go-ahead from the management company for the whole building (which took literally months to secure!), and then, once we got approval to begin, Keith, Ben, and Charlie delivered a top-notch service at a competitive and fair price. It has been a mission to find a reliable, skilful, and reasonably-priced company to do this kind of work (internal and external), and I will have no hesitation in reusing their services in the future and recommending them to others. Our neighbours have already got in touch with Keith and Ben for a similar job.

Keith and Ben turned up punctually as arranged and made an excellent job of bricking up a garage doorway. The bricks were keyed in on both sides and the roofing felt tucked in at the top - all very competent and they were a pleasure to deal with. They also removed some old stones which were not in the quote.

Keith and his team did a small Brickwork job for me. Rebuild Pillar for front Garden Gate. The team were Polite and friendly. They worked professionally and I was pleased with the work done. The brickwork and pointing was to a high standard. The bricks used also Matched existing brickwork. They cleaned the area after work being completed. The price was Very reasonable.. Keith, Ben and their team are a small local business. We found them via a google search and were impressed with them from the start. Their quote to partially rebuild and repair our 43-foot garden wall was reasonable and they had a 'can do' attitude - other builders had been reluctant to take the job on. The team worked hard over the course of approximately three weeks. The communication with them was excellent and they finished the job to a high standard. The wall backs onto the main road, and passers-by have commented on how good it looks. We were really pleased with their work - they know what they are doing and they kept to budget throughout.

I have used K Barnard Brickwork services for many years, mainly with roofing issues, though a few years back, Ben did a great job decorating our bathroom. This particular job was to clean out my gutters and repair some gutter work, which was done to their usual high standards and at a very reasonable cost. I have also contracted with them to do some non-urgent work in the near future. Not only is their work to a high standard, but they are friendly, keep to their budget and their agreed time to do it. I don’t normally recommend people, but I have done with them, and over the years many of my neighbours have used their services to their satisfaction.

Disappointed writing this as other reviews so positive. Inside: three walls stripped back to brick, re rendered and plastered. Poor plastering -lumps, bumps, corners uneven, surface not flat where it should have been, natural curves in walls disappeared. Plastered over window frames and sides of stone fire surround. Outside: Re pointing good, but double glazed window frame chipped in places. Making good of concrete ground in two areas is lumpy with loose sand when swept. Small area pools in rain. Installation of French drain seems ok. Was told decorators will sort it out or that it’s ‘all right’ or my walls were the problem. They reluctantly returned on 3 separate occasions over a period of 3 months to try to correct the plaster work .Third time a different plasterer. Some improvements made by this plasterer but tried to contact him and no reply. Finish powdery (maybe it should be); some areas still uneven. Fire surround scratched where they removed overlay of plaster to redo it. Liquid sealant used over the concrete areas outside to stop loose sand which is now starting to peel off and still some loose sand. Attempts to mend the chips to the window frame quite good. All done very quickly, before original finish time so wonder if the rendering will do what it is designed to do. Workers pleasant enough until last day in their rush to get away. Impressive communication at start ; came out nearer start time to confirm jobs which gave me confidence to hire them.
