Cahil installed my Solar, Givenergy Battery & Gateway system in May 24. I cannot fault the lads on location, although some planning issues did materialise with the late arrival of hardware & scaffolding. The company were efficient and proactive leading up to the installation apart from the above. The real issue comes, with after-installation support which is not at all forthcoming unless you're prepared to pay £250 + VAT for a technician to call. After the installation was completed, I was told, as soon as my smart meter is installed you'll be up and running, and your Octopus smart tariffs will kick in. Now, and this is an important point for anyone considering a similar system, if you have any Wi-Fi issues, unstable signal or change providers you are then in a world of Solar & Battery pain because the system will no longer talk to itself and needs someone with knowledge of the set-up, the battery, AIO inverter & Gateway, not forgetting the Fox ESS inverter in my loft, you'll need the Passwords to re-set inverters, to connect them to your wi-fi, to the various Apps to run the system etc. etc. etc. It's absolutely key that customers understand, there is no paper handover on how it all works, it's all online and you're expected to go and find the answers yourself :( The support or lack of it I've received thus far has been poor from all sides, Cahil, Octopus & Givenergy with all referring me to the other. Buyer beware, the support is poor unless you pay upfront :(
