Kalibre Kitchens and Bathrooms

We chose Kalibre Kitchens to refurb our family bathroom. Jo managed the project brilliantly from the initial design to the installation. There is so much choice available which felt quite overwhelming and Jo used her experience to guide us towards the right choice of equipment and finishing touches. We didn't have to worry about scheduling the individual trades, Jo did this all, which resulted in a fast installation to time and within budget. The tradesmen used were all appropriately skilled and we were able to upgrade the lighting using Jo's electrician which we hadn't planned to do at the outset. Jo certainly takes the stress out of having a new bathroom and I would highly recommend having a chat to her if you're planning a new bathroom.

We went back to Kalibre as previously we had received an excellent service. A tired and dated bathroom has been transformed into a beautiful and user-friendly space. A wall was removed, the bath replaced with a walk in shower with subtle aids such as grab handles and a fold up seat incorporated into the overall design. The work was carried out efficiently by skilled craftsmen who solved any difficulty and problems as they arose and went the extra mile to ensure that everything looked good and worked perfectly. The project was skillfully managed and a schedule of work provided so that we knew who was coming into the house, and when. The work has been completed on time to a very high standard. The personal touch from planning to completion resulted in a major refurbishment being stress free (for us) and we are delighted with end result.

We’re thrilled to bits with the finished result. Kalibre Kitchens transformed our tired old galley kitchen into a sleek modern space. As we have come to expect from Kalibre Kitchens, Clive’s project management was excellent and his teams worked very hard to meet our needs. Reliability is a key word: their teams turn up on time, tasks are completed on the scheduled day and it is clear that the current job has their full engagement- no stealing off to finish work elsewhere. For us, the best thing about Kalibre is the professionalism of the project management provided. Nothing is left to chance and every detail is factored in. The different tradespeople clearly enjoy working for Kalibre and have all bought in to the company’s work ethic.

Clive, Director of Kalibre Kitchens, carried out the project management himself. He is very competent and thorough and so all aspects of the project management were done to a very high standard. A detailed breakdown of what to expect on each day of the installation and the names of the tradesmen who would be involved on that day was provided several weeks in advance. All tradesmen turned up at either the appointed time or, with our consent, earlier and so the project was completed within the 3-week timescale agreed. Clive has an excellent relationship with the workforce and he monitored the progress of the work regularly and carefully. Examples of the materials used, such as cupboard carcasses, back panels, hinges, runners for drawers and cupboard doors were shown to us in advance and were all of the highest standard that could be expected. In a nutshell, all aspects of the job including project management, quality of materials and workmanship met or exceeded my expectations.

Absolutely delighted with the kitchen designed and installed by Clive and his team. From start to finish everything was was very well managed, clearly explained, planned in detail and installed efficiently and skillfully. We required a full kitchen replacement, with almost all appliances replacing as well as electrical, plumbing, plastering, flooring and tiling work. The quote was within budget ; the price examples on the website had set our expectations. The quote was detailed but easy to understand and some images of the proposed design helped us visualise it. After a couple of iterations and the final go ahead, we received a plan for the 3 week installation. All the trades people were excellent; all top quality. There were no significant issues and everything went to schedule. Highly recommended.

We had our kitchen and utility area replaced by Clive and his experienced team. We also had our ceiling resurfaced and spotlights installed as well as new flooring. We were provided with a clear detailed quote, not something that every installer provides, this helped ensure our requirements were correctly understood. Once we approved the quote Clive provided a clear detailed installation schedule which summarised the activities each day/week and the names of the tradesmen who would be carrying out the work. Once work started it was clear we were dealing with experienced professionals, they were polite, tidy and their work was completed to a very high standard. Any queries were handled promptly and effectively. We would highly recommend Kalibre Kitchens, the cabinets/hinges are of high quality and importantly the installation is completed with skill, care and attention to detail.

We are delighted with our new kitchen. Clive had his team have done a superb job with high-quality workmanship at every stage of the process. After shopping around different kitchen designers/fitters we decided on Kalibre Kitchens & we’re glad we did. The design & installation was well planned in advance by Clive Crail who was extremely helpful & very professional. We were given a three week schedule with names of all the tradesmen who would be working during that time. We were really pleased with all the tradesmen but a special thanks goes to Andy Robins the kitchen fitter who went the extra inch to do a very professional job. Also to Stuart Crail the electrician who also worked to a very high standard. To anyone thinking about a new kitchen installation we would highly recommend Kalibre Kitchens. You won’t be disappointed; the well planned and sequenced work schedule which went like clockwork removes any stress from the customer.

After 30+ years with the same kitchen and no utility deciding to have a new kitchen and utility was a bit daunting but after contacting Clive at Kalibre Kitchens all our worries went away. Clive and his brilliant team dealt with everything for us and we now can enjoy a beautiful kitchen and very useful utility. All the team were excellent.

We had our kitchen and dining room knocked through and a new kitchen designed and installed by Clive and his team. From the outset Clive's calm and patient approach stood out against other companies providing the same service. It was a large project for us and he guided us through the pro's and cons of ideas and designs, the final version of which was exactly what we had hoped it would be. He project managed everything from builders to flooring and decorators, providing us with a schedule of work for his team that was kept to. All members of his team were courteous, professional and had an attention for detail and quality that matched Clive's. He oversaw all of the work, was in touch and on site on a regular basis and any potential issues were resolved quickly and professionally with no overall impact to schedule or budget. Considering the extent of the work we had done, the whole experience was surprisingly stress-free for us which is testament to Clive's professionalism and commitment to exceptional customer service. We had a replacement kitchen and re-flooring of the kitchen and sitting area. Clive helped us refine the design to accommodate all we wanted in the space we have. Great selection of materials and a great team of tradesmen who were all friendly, tidy and made a very disruptive period easier to manage. We were provide with a schedule of works and were pleased to have the work completed on schedule despite an unexpected set back. Clive was on site to answer questions and all his team were on site as scheduled. Everything went as planned and the completed project is even better than we had hoped for. As previously mentioned in other reviews the notable difference in having gone with Kalibre Kitchens is in the fact that they all went to great lengths to keep us updated, make suggestions for un-foreseen problems and found best solutions without impacting on either the schedule or the workmanship. Cannot recommend Clive and his team highly enough.

We had two bathrooms completely renewed by Kalibre. Their pricing was competitive but what stood out for us the most was the customer service and the quality and selection of the materials used. Jo oversaw the project management from Day One, helping us choose from the huge selection of options before us, and once work started, regularly checked in on progress with us to make sure everything was going smoothly. She employed a range of skilled and helpful tradesmen who we couldn't fault. Overall, we're really pleased we chose Kalibre for the work and would highly recommend if you want something a bit more special than a bog-standard refit. For novices like us at replacing bathrooms, Jo was the ideal person to deal with and she patiently helped guide us towards good choices.

I received a great service from Kalibre Kitchens for the installation of my new kitchen, from the initial planning and throughout the installation and all the trades were professional and courteous. Clive set out the dates as to when each trade would be in and when the kitchen installation would be completed. He did not disappoint and came to site on several occasions to check on the progress. All rubbish was stacked neatly and cleared in a timely manner and care was taken to protect the floors from being damaged. Any additional items required were also arranged without any issues. Overall, a great high quality installation with no problems. I would definitely recommend Kalibre Kitchens.

The job was to replace the old kitchen, including all appliances. We found Clive's attention to detail and desire to make sure he completely understood our requirements absolutely first class. There was flexibility in the initial planning and a willingness to make adjustments when we changed our minds. From the outset Clive went to great lengths to make sure we were kept fully informed of progress and timings. Schedule and budget were adhered to (except when delivery of items was delayed due to the COVID pandemic!) All tradesmen were polite, clearly very experienced, and competent. A couple of unexpected issues cropped up but they were dealt with efficiently, effectively and with a professional attitude, to our satisfaction. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kalibre Kitchens.

We were well advised from the beginning for our replacement kitchen, given choices/options/ideas to consider and our expectations were managed at every stage. We decided to renovate a current bathroom to cater for my changing needs as I get older, and also to provide an area alongside my office to enable me to continue work if I have to self-isolate. I have previously used Kalibre for a kitchen and office re-build. For the bathroom they provided an excellent plan and quote. They also prepared a thorough Project Management plan and ensured that all the work was completed to time and cost. The result was excellent and we are very pleased with it. I have no hesitation in recommending Kalibre.

Jo and the team were a delight to work with from start to finish. We designed a "Victorian" bathroom for our listed house and although it was an unusual job for Kaliber, they pulled out all the stops to make it work. A very professional team, who are great at problem-solving, their attention to detail is remarkable. We had a daily schedule, regularly up-dated as things had to change, and details of where additional costs might be incurred. Ripping out an old bathroom and fitting a new one is never a clean, tidy job but whoever was working made sure to leave our home as tidy as possible each day. We recommend Kaliber without hesitiation.

Kalibre Kitchens did a full refit of our existing 30-year old kitchen. Clive and all his team were always very pleasant to deal with, punctual and tidy. The suggested design of our new kitchen was excellent and made really good use of the space we've got. A detailed quote and timetable were provided which helped us to plan accordingly.
