Kalibre Kitchens and Bathrooms

Kalibre recently designed and fitted a new kitchen & utility room for us. (This is the third or fourth time we have used them. They did a couple of bathrooms previously which were immaculately designed, managed and executed.) The kitchen is incredibly good. Clive was so patient and helpful while I went through various changes of mind and he came up with my perfect design. He has a way of very gently steering you towards the perfect solution without being pushy or overbearing. He simply knows his stuff! Installation was smooth, the expert installers were a delight to work with and the quality of the final finish is exceptional. Clive organised the snagging of things we hadn’t even noticed! I would recommend them to anyone wanting a personal, friendly, expert and professional job. Another bathroom beckons!

We really rate Kalibre Kitchens and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new kitchen. Clive was very much on top of the detail. He checked on design points we hadn't thought of and advised us on various aspects when we needed his expertise. There weren't any problems with his orders and he even managed to make a rush order for us when we changed our minds on something. We appreciated receiving a day-by-day itinerary beforehand, and we were impressed that the days (more or less) followed the itinerary and that it was completed on the target date. We've used Kalibre for two jobs this year - our ensuite bathroom and our kitchen. We are absolutely delighted with both. From start to finish their approach has been extremely professional. They had great ideas, used reliable and experienced tradesmen, high quality products and offered seamless project management. Virtually every aspect of both went completely to plan in terms of timing and delivery. Any small hitches with unavailable products etc were ironed out very quickly by Jo or Clive. While their prices were not the cheapest, there were no hidden costs or nasty surprises when the invoice arrived and I suspect this would have been the case with the others who quoted. The quality is top notch and we expect these rooms to last us long into the future.

Kalibre Kitchens removed and disposed of my old kitchen, installed new units, appliances, floor, ceiling, lights, electrics and and decoration. I was wary of replacing my old but much loved kitchen. I was worried about the design, the quality and the cost. Clive made it easy. He listened very carefully to my requirements and came up with several proposals which we were able to work through and discuss before agreeing on a plan. At no point did I feel hassled. I was very impressed by the detailed breakdown of the quote Clive supplied. This was a great help in making decisions. I was given a schedule of all the works and the tradesmen who would be coming to the house. Without exception they were all polite, tidy, helpful and the workmanship was superb. All queries and problems were dealt with immediately, without fuss. Clive regularly checked that everything was going to plan and was always available for any concerns. Clive had done an excellent job on the utility room at my previous house so I had no hesitation in using Kalibre Kitchens for the large project on my next house. It was a typical 1970s house that has now had the back of the building transformed into a stylish and ergonomic kitchen and utility room. The design was faultless with special attention given to ease of use and with many clever storage ideas. Clive worked closely, and seamlessly, with my builder. The installation, as before, couldn’t have been better with care and attention given at every stage. Plumbers, electricians and the installer all arrived on time, cleared up and were considerate and pleasant. James, the installer, kept disruption and mess down to a minimum. Everything was carefully timetabled and each stage was started and finished on time. I have had no hesitation in recommending Clive and his team to friends and acquaintances.

Kalibre Kitchens designed and installed a new kitchen for us during September/October. Clive of Kalibre also managed the project for us from start to finish making the experience as stress free as possible. We are delighted with our new kitchen which was delivered on time and in line with Clive’s quote, albeit we asked for a few additions which the final invoice reflected. We would highly recommend the company for both the end product, but also the quality of the team used by Clive together with his clear communication and attention to detail. His sub-contractors were all friendly, also working to a high standard and very tidy. Any minor issue raised by us since the project was completed have been dealt with quickly by Clive and to our entire satisfaction.

Kalibre installed a replacement main bathroom. They had previously installed an en-suite bathroom for us. Both jobs were completed on time and to budget. We received well in advance details of the trades and the dates on which they would be in attendance. All arrived on time and completed the work on time and to our complete satisfaction. All trades were quiet and courteous at all times. Project planning and management was done with meticulous attention to quality and detail. Nothing was too much trouble for them and excellent ongoing communication meant that we knew exactly what was to happen, and when. Minor problems on re-routing pipework etc were resolved quickly and efficiently. I would have no hesitation in using them again or for recommending them to others.

Kalibre came to us as a recommendation. Jo and the team did a brilliant job replacing our very old ensuite. Jo took on board our ideas and wishlist and delivered an excellent design. The project was managed very efficiently by her, on time and on budget. The installation team were very easy to work with a special mention to Jon who did the main part of the work. We chose Kalibre Kitchens to refurb our family bathroom. Jo managed the project brilliantly from the initial design to the installation. There is so much choice available which felt quite overwhelming and Jo used her experience to guide us towards the right choice of equipment and finishing touches. We didn't have to worry about scheduling the individual trades, Jo did this all, which resulted in a fast installation to time and within budget. The tradesmen used were all appropriately skilled and we were able to upgrade the lighting using Jo's electrician which we hadn't planned to do at the outset. Jo certainly takes the stress out of having a new bathroom and I would highly recommend having a chat to her if you're planning a new bathroom.

We went back to Kalibre as previously we had received an excellent service. A tired and dated bathroom has been transformed into a beautiful and user-friendly space. A wall was removed, the bath replaced with a walk in shower with subtle aids such as grab handles and a fold up seat incorporated into the overall design. The work was carried out efficiently by skilled craftsmen who solved any difficulty and problems as they arose and went the extra mile to ensure that everything looked good and worked perfectly. The project was skillfully managed and a schedule of work provided so that we knew who was coming into the house, and when. The work has been completed on time to a very high standard. The personal touch from planning to completion resulted in a major refurbishment being stress free (for us) and we are delighted with end result.

We’re thrilled to bits with the finished result. Kalibre Kitchens transformed our tired old galley kitchen into a sleek modern space. As we have come to expect from Kalibre Kitchens, Clive’s project management was excellent and his teams worked very hard to meet our needs. Reliability is a key word: their teams turn up on time, tasks are completed on the scheduled day and it is clear that the current job has their full engagement- no stealing off to finish work elsewhere. For us, the best thing about Kalibre is the professionalism of the project management provided. Nothing is left to chance and every detail is factored in. Clive, Director of Kalibre Kitchens, carried out the project management himself. He is very competent and thorough and so all aspects of the project management were done to a very high standard. A detailed breakdown of what to expect on each day of the installation and the names of the tradesmen who would be involved on that day was provided several weeks in advance. All tradesmen turned up at either the appointed time or, with our consent, earlier and so the project was completed within the 3-week timescale agreed. Clive has an excellent relationship with the workforce and he monitored the progress of the work regularly and carefully. Examples of the materials used, such as cupboard carcasses, back panels, hinges, runners for drawers and cupboard doors were shown to us in advance and were all of the highest standard that could be expected. In a nutshell, all aspects of the job including project management, quality of materials and workmanship met or exceeded my expectations.

Absolutely delighted with the kitchen designed and installed by Clive and his team. From start to finish everything was was very well managed, clearly explained, planned in detail and installed efficiently and skillfully. We required a full kitchen replacement, with almost all appliances replacing as well as electrical, plumbing, plastering, flooring and tiling work. The quote was within budget ; the price examples on the website had set our expectations. The quote was detailed but easy to understand and some images of the proposed design helped us visualise it. After a couple of iterations and the final go ahead, we received a plan for the 3 week installation. All the trades people were excellent; all top quality. There were no significant issues and everything went to schedule. Highly recommended.

We had our kitchen and utility area replaced by Clive and his experienced team. We also had our ceiling resurfaced and spotlights installed as well as new flooring. We were provided with a clear detailed quote, not something that every installer provides, this helped ensure our requirements were correctly understood. Once we approved the quote Clive provided a clear detailed installation schedule which summarised the activities each day/week and the names of the tradesmen who would be carrying out the work. Once work started it was clear we were dealing with experienced professionals, they were polite, tidy and their work was completed to a very high standard. Any queries were handled promptly and effectively. We would highly recommend Kalibre Kitchens, the cabinets/hinges are of high quality and importantly the installation is completed with skill, care and attention to detail.

After shopping around different kitchen designers/fitters we decided on Kalibre Kitchens & we’re glad we did. The design & installation was well planned in advance by Clive Crail who was extremely helpful & very professional. We were given a three week schedule with names of all the tradesmen who would be working during that time. We were really pleased with all the tradesmen but a special thanks goes to Andy Robins the kitchen fitter who went the extra inch to do a very professional job. After 30+ years with the same kitchen and no utility deciding to have a new kitchen and utility was a bit daunting but after contacting Clive at Kalibre Kitchens all our worries went away. We had our kitchen and dining room knocked through and a new kitchen designed and installed by Clive and his team. From the outset Clive's calm and patient approach stood out against other companies providing the same service. It was a large project for us and he guided us through the pro's and cons of ideas and designs, the final version of which was exactly what we had hoped it would be. He project managed everything from builders to flooring and decorators, providing us with a schedule of work for his team that was kept to. We had a replacement kitchen and re-flooring of the kitchen and sitting area. Clive helped us refine the design to accommodate all we wanted in the space we have. Great selection of materials and a great team of tradesmen who were all friendly, tidy and made a very disruptive period easier to manage. We were provide with a schedule of works and were pleased to have the work completed on schedule despite an unexpected set back. Clive was on site to answer questions and all his team were on site as scheduled. Everything went as planned and the completed project is even better than we had hoped for. As previously mentioned in other reviews the notable difference in having gone with Kalibre Kitchens is in the fact that they all went to great lengths to keep us updated, make suggestions for un-foreseen problems and found best solutions without impacting on either the schedule or the workmanship. Cannot recommend Clive and his team highly enough.

We had two bathrooms completely renewed by Kalibre. Their pricing was competitive but what stood out for us the most was the customer service and the quality and selection of the materials used. Jo oversaw the project management from Day One, helping us choose from the huge selection of options before us, and once work started, regularly checked in on progress with us to make sure everything was going smoothly. She employed a range of skilled and helpful tradesmen who we couldn't fault. Overall, we're really pleased we chose Kalibre for the work and would highly recommend if you want something a bit more special than a bog-standard refit. For novices like us at replacing bathrooms, Jo was the ideal person to deal with and she patiently helped guide us towards good choices.

I received a great service from Kalibre Kitchens for the installation of my new kitchen, from the initial planning and throughout the installation and all the trades were professional and courteous. Clive set out the dates as to when each trade would be in and when the kitchen installation would be completed. He did not disappoint and came to site on several occasions to check on the progress. All rubbish was stacked neatly and cleared in a timely manner and care was taken to protect the floors from being damaged. Any additional items required were also arranged without any issues. Overall, a great high quality installation with no problems. I would definitely recommend Kalibre Kitchens.

The job was to replace the old kitchen, including all appliances. We found Clive's attention to detail and desire to make sure he completely understood our requirements absolutely first class. There was flexibility in the initial planning and a willingness to make adjustments when we changed our minds. From the outset Clive went to great lengths to make sure we were kept fully informed of progress and timings. Schedule and budget were adhered to (except when delivery of items was delayed due to the COVID pandemic!) All tradesmen were polite, clearly very experienced, and competent. A couple of unexpected issues cropped up but they were dealt with efficiently, effectively and with a professional attitude, to our satisfaction. We decided to renovate a current bathroom to cater for my changing needs as I get older, and also to provide an area alongside my office to enable me to continue work if I have to self-isolate. I have previously used Kalibre for a kitchen and office re-build. For the bathroom they provided an excellent plan and quote. They also prepared a thorough Project Management plan and ensured that all the work was completed to time and cost. The result was excellent and we are very pleased with it. Jo and the team were a delight to work with from start to finish. We designed a "Victorian" bathroom for our listed house and although it was an unusual job for Kaliber, they pulled out all the stops to make it work. A very professional team, who are great at problem-solving, their attention to detail is remarkable. We had a daily schedule, regularly up-dated as things had to change, and details of where additional costs might be incurred. Ripping out an old bathroom and fitting a new one is never a clean, tidy job but whoever was working made sure to leave our home as tidy as possible each day. Kalibre Kitchens did a full refit of our existing 30-year old kitchen. Clive and all his team were always very pleasant to deal with, punctual and tidy. The suggested design of our new kitchen was excellent and made really good use of the space we've got. A detailed quote and timetable were provided which helped us to plan accordingly. We felt confident and assured using Kalibre Kitchens throughout this very disruptive job, and would recommend them without hesitation.

We employed Kalibre to change our family bathroom into a shower room. Before the work began Jo gave us some very helpful advice and prepared a computer generated design. She also gave us a timetable setting out who would be on site each day and what they would be doing. The costing indicated any extra items which might be necessary depending on what was found as the work progressed. The project ran smoothly and the tradesmen were punctual,friendly efficient. We are very pleased with the final result and would not hesitate to recommend Kalibre to others.

Our kitchen is in the old part of our house, which brought a few problems with out of square walls, low ceilings, blocked up windows and solid outside walls which needed to be insulated before the kitchen was refitted. Clive carefully measured and took account of all these problems ,went away and produced a design to accommodate this and what we wanted to achieve in our new kitchen. We were very happy with design submitted and agreed the quotation and a programme for the work schedule produced by Clive. The fitting started on time and all the trades required arrived as agreed. They were all very professional in their work and the way they conducted themselves, a credit to Kalibre Kitchens. We are very pleased with the finished kitchen which was fitted to a high standard, on time, on price, and with pleasant people to work with. What more could you ask for!

I asked Clive to design and fit a completely new office as I mainly work from home. I am extremely satisfied with the result. I have ample storage, a very good desk area, and plenty of electrical sockets for all of my devices. I am now able to work in a very airy and unclutterd office with well designed fitted office furniture. Clive's Project Management was excellent, and all of his tradesmen arrived exactly on time. He used an electrician for plugs and lighting; a plasterer to make a fitted storage cupboard wall and a carpet fitter. I am totally satisfied with the office, and he has been a pleasure to work with. I strongly recommend him.

Kalibre Kitchens was recommend to me by two friends - and they were absolutely right. From the first visit, Clive noticed potential problems that would need to be addressed and we went forward from there. His design was exactly what I wanted but when budget constraints meant I had to re-think, he was quick to suggest alternatives that have worked well. The work schedule meant that I knew exactly which team members would be coming when, and Clive oversaw the project closely. The whole team (James, Warren, Richard, Paul, Lee and Dave) were punctual, courteous and very tidy with a great sense of humour and not only coped with the kitchen itself but two small inquisitive grandchildren and the cat! We highly recommend Jo, Kalibre and the team. Putting in a new bathroom is not a cheap thing to do so you want to get it right. In the early stages Jo was really helpful in using her experience and design ideas to get the 'perfect' plan. They started on the day they said they would start - and finished on the day they promised, too. The four guys that came to execute the plan, Jon, Steve, Stuart and Vince, were fantastic - lovely people and superb at their job. We're very fussy and cannot find fault at all. Overall a superb experience.

After the company transformed our bathroom last year we did not hesitate to ask Kalibre to do the same to our kitchen, and we were not disappointed. The team was very patient, thorough, transparent and extremely professional, leaving no stone unturned. We cannot fault it and I am writing this four months after completion. We down-selected three potential installers and each produced a design and a quote. Clive's design won our vote and his quote was very reasonable. After further discussions, a revised quote was provided, which we accepted. Apart from one extra item, which we requested during installation, the quote was spot-on. Prior to the start of installation, we were given a detailed programme of the daily work to be performed and the scheduled work was completed each day with early starts and late finishes, if required. Every member of the team was polite and tidy. Indeed, the whole team was made up of true craftsmen, who took great pride in their work; both individually and as a group. Not only that, they all had a great sense of humour and we thank them for a truly outstanding installation. Clive would appear daily to check on progress and to confirm that we were content. From start to finish, Jo managed the project in a very professional and friendly manner. All our requirements were taken into account and I am so happy with the end results. We wanted someone who could design and manage the installation from start to finish. Clive is very courteous and patient as we found out after changing our minds with the design a few times. His tradesmen were all very friendly, tidy and above all good at their job. They all explained exactly what they were doing and how the eventual equipment would work. 4. The kitchen was finished exactly on time, to budget, and with no outstanding snags. 5. The one are that did cause extra work was some fairly old plumbing. Extra work was necessary to correct the faults which was carried out smoothly and within the work plan. 6. We are very pleased with the results. We now have a much larger and more open kitch with ample storage space. 7. I thoroughly recommend this company. They gave us exactly what we wanted on time and to cost. At the same time it was a most stress free experience.

Clive was an excellent designer and project manager who ensured we were kept informed of which workmen would be arriving and when. All of the workmen were of an exceptionally high standard and took obvious pride in their work

First of all we had an unhurried discussion with Clive who interpreted our thoughts into a cracking design which reflected our wishes exactly. This design was accurately priced and then delivered against the agreed schedule by his team like clockwork. Clive listened to all our requirements and made a few suggestions to make the space available work for us. A detailed specification was provided along with all the names of who to expect and when, each person was professional and left the house tidy. When the kitchen arrived it was not flat packed but made to a very high standard and the attention to detail when fitted was exceptional. On completion the level of pride from the fitter was obvious. All appliances were of a very good standard and installation was when advised. The fitting of the quartz top was seamless and exceeded our expectations with minimal cuts. When the tiling was complete our kitchen had all come together. This is a very friendly and professional company and we would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.
