We couldn’t be more thrilled with the recent re-roof carried out on our Grade II listed home. From start to finish, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. The team demonstrated an impressive understanding of the complexities involved in working on a listed property, ensuring that all materials and techniques were in keeping with the original structure. The attention to detail was outstanding, and the quality of workmanship was absolutely top-tier — every aspect of the repair was completed to the highest standard, with clear respect for the building’s heritage. We were particularly impressed with the transparent and competitive pricing, which was extremely fair given the specialist nature of the work. There were no hidden costs or surprises — just honest, straightforward value. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the fantastic communication throughout the project, including liaising with the List Property officers. We were kept informed at every stage, and all our questions were answered promptly and clearly. The team was professional, punctual, and a genuine pleasure to deal with. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a reliable and skilled company and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone needing work on a listed or heritage property. I had a roof leaking rainwater at the junction of chimney and tiles. It had been leaking for a long time and was only evident from inside the loft. Julian took great care to assess the problem and effect a repair in a short time and left the site clean and tidy.

We had several ridge tiles which had become loose and a small verge which had become flaky along with some lead flushing which had become detached. Vernon was able to resolve all these issues on the day and we are very pleased with the work carried out.

After several months of planning and discussion on how to deal with our government grant supported foam roof insulation (we were not in a hurry) Julian agreed to provide us with a new slate roof. Removal and disposal of asbestos containing slates was thorough and professional via a specialist company. New battens and breathable felt were installed, then slates with clips and a ridge tile system. Our solar panels were removed by our system installers and replaced afterwards by the same company, with Julian timetabling scaffold works to fit in, though there was a longer time to remove than was ideal. The roof work was undertaken efficiently and expertly at each stage with minimum mess.

Having used Keenan Roofing in 2005 to re-cement the gable edges, I returned to the company for a complete re-tiling of my house and separate garage roofs. I was given good advice about the various tiles available, received a very clear price with schedule of payments and a timetable (depending, of course, on weather conditions) for the works . In conjunction with re-tiling, I was having in-roof solar panels which meant that communication and liaison were crucial. Julian recommended a company as my power supplier was currently not supplying in this area. Liaison at all times was excellent. His team (Vernon, Doug and Tom) were a real pleasure to have around and worked very hard and were always polite and cheerful, despite the vagaries of the weather. Despite some heavy downpours the works were completed in the anticipated time. The entire project was well managed and I would certainly recommend this company.

We highly recommend Julian Keenan and his excellent team for any roofing project. We have just had a large leaking roof in our old house, with a complicated roof structure, completely stripped back to rafters and renovated, upgrading insulation, repairing numerous lead valleys, replacing tiles where necessary and repointing chimneys. We had 8 roofing firms come to the house to quote for the job and Julian was the only one who actually quoted and was prepared to take us on! His communication was excellent, he stuck to the agreed quotation, was very clear and fair about when staged payments were due and did not ask for the final balance until all work was signed off by building control, scaffolding down, skip removed and they had done an amazing job of clearing up. It was a costly building project for us, but having seen how much work has been done by a team of 4 roofers continuously for 4 months, with extensive double tier scaffolding all around the house, and all the new materials that were needed, the price was very fair. Julian's team (Tommy, Vernon, Duncan and Kiefer) were a pleasure to have around, arrived promptly every day, worked long hours in appalling weather through the winter, but remained polite and cheerful in spite of the challenges they faced. We have already recommended them to other people locally who noticed the work going on over the last few months. Outstanding experience and remarkably stress free given the size and duration of the project.

Called Keenan Roofing as had a leak around my chimney breast. Needed to have a scaffold erected for the work to be carried out, this was put in place on the Friday and work was carried out on the following Monday. Scaffold was taken down on Tuesday so very little inconvenience. I was shown photos of the work carried out which is always good when you can't actually see it for yourself. I used Keenan Roofing some years ago and was just as satisfied then. Would definitely recommend them.

Roof vent had been previously removed by another roofer but was not completed properly as evidence of leak persisted with evidence of staining of ceiling below. Called Keenan Roofing and spoke with Julian, explained the situation. Scaffolding was erected and repair was carried out by Vernon from Keenan Roofing. The repair was completed in a professional manner, the tiles were removed and new breathable membrane and batons fitted, and tiles were replaced. This was not a big job but had to be done due to staining on ceiling. I am very pleased with the outcome and although it hasn't rained yet I am confident of the outcome. Hats off also to Law Scaffolding who erected the scaffolding with minimal damage to shrubs below

Once again we had a ridge tile problem after the major storms of late and Julian was able to squeeze us in with a repair in good time for a good price.

Julian and his team did outstanding and excellent work in replacing my roof which was suffering from numerous problems. It was completed to time and as per quote. Noticeable was the fact that things happened when they were said they were going to happen! The work was complicated by the presence of solar panels on the roof. Julian engaged a solar panel company to remove and reinstall the panels before and after the roof replacement. This company was excellent too. Julian and his staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

We needed an indication of costs to strip out spray foam insulation and replace an existing roof with a new roof on a property we do not yet own. Julian was extremely helpful and went out of his way to provide us with an estimated cost, even though we were unable to get him access to the property at this time.

I had a very small job. One roof tile had come off and needed replacing. Others were not interested. Julian fitted it in between other work. Good job, nice guy with a pleasant personality, would certainly recommend

If I ever need roof work to be carried out again I wouldn't hesitate in calling Julian. Reliable, prompt service at a good price. I can't praise Julian and his team enough.

Having read through this companies reviews I emailed for a quote and whilst he did reply the same day he also stated that he would call the next day to arrange a visit and he has not communicated since 😡 not the best way to instil confidence so I will not be using him.

We urgently needed to get our main roof repaired as we had a leak coming from somewhere up there. We called out Keenan roofers who were able to come out quite promptly and asses the situation. They gave us a quote and within days were able to get the job done. I can’t say how impressed I am with their workmanship and attention to detail. This is not the first time we have used Keenan roofing as they also did a fantastic job on a new build that we had done a couple of years ago on a garage and study extension. Highly recommended.

Following heavy rains recently we noticed water coming in and we contacted Julian who swiftly came and assessed the situation. The roof needed to be stripped, new battens (that were in a bad way!) and felt laid. Julian and his team managed to use the existing tiles which saved money and Julian ensured the work was done as quickly as possible. He was extremely helpful and kept us informed of the situation (even when he was supposed to be on holiday). His team have done a fantastic job for a very reasonable price (and to budget). I would highly recommend Keenan Roofing.

We have just had a roof replaced by Keenan Roofing, the guys were reliable, on time and have completed a great looking roof for us. They were able to fit us in sooner than planned which was great news, and we cannot rate them highly enough. Always tough to know who to trust when it comes to choosing roofing companies, but we cannot fault them - and praise them enough. Great job, fair price, 5 stars all round. Highly recommend.

Julian and his team retiled the rear roof of our 17th century cottage. They were extremely friendly, professional and efficient throughout. Vern spent the two hottest days of the year on our roof tilling!! Excellent quality of work and perfect clear up on completion of the job. Jules kept us fully appraised as work went on. Extremely good value for money too! We have no hesitation recommending this company.

Julian and his team roofed our home in November 2016. It consisted of a large pitched main roof, dormers, porch and a flat roof. The guys that worked on our home, turned up on time, worked effectively and quickly, they were polite and helpful. Julian was quick to cost our job, competitive and honest. He even answered my calls!! Our builders delayed Keenan roofing from completing the roof, Julian and co were professional, understanding and (unlike the builders) true to their word and returned to complete the work. The roof looks amazing too, thank you. Would recommend without hesitating.

I was so impressed with the professionalism and quick response in pricing and carrying out the work to re-roof my garage. The two guys who carried out the work were amazing and worked so hard on a freezing day, and the quality of the work was superb.
