We needed a stairlift for my husband. Kudos Stairlifts were extremely efficient, pleasant to deal with, reliable and the end product is excellent! They were the only stairlift company that could make one to fit in the least obtrusive place. It has been made to fit the space excellently with a great use of the swivelling chair to mean it is neat and doesn't block the stairs. The engineer was very quick and efficient and explained how to use the chair slowly enough for my husband to manage it himself straight away.

Stairlift Install. No high pressure selling tactics to us. Very good communication by both head and local offices. They came and did what they said they would do, when they said it. Not the keenest price on the market but you are paying for that quality and you get what you pay for. Very tricky house to install in but all along the process the people have stood out, very intelligent and know what they are doing, and they actually listened to us as customers.

Kudos Stairlifts provided an outstanding service from beginning to end Initial home visit explained products and options, but with no pressure to buy. All times and dates for visits, surveys and installation were kept. All final costs were as agreed initially. Installation process was clean, all waste removed and full operating instructions given until we were happy. Our installation engineer (Bogdan) was very professional, polite and thoughtful in his approach, and suggested a neater way for electrical installation than first planned. Overall, we were very impressed with Kudos as a company, and the equipment they installed. It's refreshing to come across a company that ticks all the boxes.

I can’t speak highly enough about the service and care I received from Kudos. I wanted a straight stairlift to future proof my house accessibility. I had decided to retain the wall rail so that I could continue to walk up and down my stairs whilst still able. Sam, who visited the house to do a survey and give me a quote, was entirely sensitive to my requests and measured up with great care. He even returned to the house to check out the previously used electric point to ensure its compatability with the agreed Platinum stairlift. I couldn’t have asked for more care. There was absolutely no sales pressure and every aspect of my personal preferences was taken into consideration. The installation of the stairlift was problem free and the installer (afraid I can’t recall his name) was equally diligent and did a wonderful job. He ensured I had full instruction regarding its use before leaving. Today (2 months later) Sam rang me to ask if I would allow him to bring another customer to the house so that they could personally see if their specific needs could be met by personally viewing my stairlift and being able to ‘feel’ how easy it is to use. That is representative of the care this Company takes and, of course, I was delighted to be able to help. Every aspect of Kudos service is excellent and I have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

Excellent advice from John at Kudos on the various options. Our stairs are narrow and we were delighted to find there was a stairlift suitable for our needs without removing part of the doorframe, which other companies had suggested. Appointment with Kudos surveyor followed and once the stairlift was ordered we were regularly kept informed re delivery. On installation day all went smoothly thanks to Troy the engineer. After he had finished installing the stairlift, which took several hours, he explained everything with patience and clarity. We are very pleased with the stairlift and would thoroughly recommend this company.

I’ve now had my stairlift installed for a month. I should have had one a few years ago. It has given me complete independence and confidence to continue to live in my home. Having learnt of Kudos through Gem ( 'wheelsnoheels') and realising that I needed a stairlift, I contacted Kudos and John made an appointment, came to our home and explained the options available. Our stairs were then thoroughly assessed and I paid a deposit on 19th February having been sent production drawings , my stairlift was fitted today by Tony. Throughout the whole process I was kept well informed, everyone was very helpful and all went very smoothly; Kudos clearly have a great team and their customer service is truly excellent; having worked in customer services myself, it's great to know that such great standards still exist!

Kudos Stairlifts surveyed our grade II listed property's stairs and determined that it was feasible to install a stairlift (other companies were unable to guarantee that their product would work in our particular setting). We ordered a stairlift based on their survey - and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly the order was fulfilled. Kudos stairlifts installed the stairlift yesterday. Troy and Bogdan arrived promptly. They were utterly professional and organised. This wasn't an easy job but they considered the proper installation every step of the way - to accommodate and protect the fabric of the house itself. We were impressed by their attention to detail and their responsiveness by our requests around the particulars of the installation. They worked efficiently and quietly, and explained things thoroughlyThe job took them longer than usual - a control part was not functioning, so had to be re-installed. They left us absolutely satisfied with their work and understanding how to operate the stairlift. We have confidence in the installation and the available aftercare, should we need it.

Once in place, the engineer explained clearly how it worked, its features and how to operate it. I was able to try it out to make sure that I knew how it worked. Having initially contacted Kudos simply to have an alternative quote to another major stairlift company, I quickly decided that they were the better option. Their communication and customer service have been excellent throughout the whole process, and their approach of assigning one specific individual to each customer inspires confidence. The same engineer did the initial visit and quotation, returned to undertake the digital survey, and then again to do the actual installation. Furthermore, he will also be back to undertake any services. As he quite rightly pointed out, it was in his best interests to do the best possible job, because otherwise he would just be creating a problem for himself. Highly recommended.

Mum finally agreed that she needed a stair lift. It was a difficult staircase with a full narrow turn and a low bulkhead. Peter from Kudos thoroughly assessed the stairs and whether mum would be able to clear all the turns on a stair lift. The team in the office kept us fully informed about the drawings, the manufacture and shipment of the lift. Peter arrived on time on both the measuring and fitment day. He was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and supportive. The stair lift was fitted quickly, carefully with minimum disruption to the home. Peter explained thoroughly all aspects of the function of the lift and how to use it. His instructions were clear, patient and detailed. My husband has severe copd After 3 nights running of my husband having severe breathing difficulties after climbing the stairs, I was on the phone ringing round 3 companies .Comparing them after visits we chose Kudos. I am so glad we did. From start to finish nothing but kindness and expert knowledge. We have 2 bends in the staircase which added to the cost but the result was worth every penny and more. He is on oxygen 15 hours a day, so the freedom the stairs give him is amazing. We had a slight problem a few days later and an engineer was soon out, no questions, just superb service. I suffer with severe vertigo and normally I am stuck either up or downstairs , now we have a stairlift when my husband is looking after me he knows he can get to me quickly, I fall over a lot. I cannot praise too highly the standard of workmanship and the extremely friendly way I was treated by the staff whenever they called me. The stair lift was installed very quickly and without any disturbance and a slight concern they had in the readings of the usage that had to be taken before it was handed over was soon rectified. The lift I ordered is first class and I get up the stairs so easily with the simple controls. It was within my budget and wishes. I find it hard to find the words to describe the excellence of all the staff who had to contact me as I as always left with the feeling that my concern had their total attention. Their concern did not end with the installation as they have continued to contact me since. Kudos standards should be copied by many other companies as the best way to handle customers.

From the initial survey and quote, without any sales pressure, through to the installation, everyone was courteous, helpful, friendly and very professional. We have a turn in our staircase, so the main survey took a couple of hours, because that is how accurately they work. He even measured us. Installation took a while too but was faultless and very tidy. Before he left we were fully briefed on its use. A small problem a few weeks later was quickly resolved by a few helpful phone calls and another engineer visit. We are delighted with both our stairlift and their service. This company is a class act. We went to them because they specialise in stairlifts that fit tricky spaces - ie - if you have narrow stairs or windy stairs [they do normal staircases too]. They take meticulous measurements of you and your staircase and it is made to measure - though they are not that much more expensive than leading brands that are not bespoke. You mainly get the same people answering the phone at head office who are friendly and polite, as are the people who come to fit [they also have their own electrician who comes to fit all the electrics prior to fitting]. He couldn’t have been more helpful, there was no hard sell, everything was explained clearly and knowledgeably and he arranged for the surveyor to come out a couple of days later. The surveyor couldn’t have been more considerate and polite. He had the plans drawn up and sent to the design team within hours which he kept us involved with. A really nice lady kept us informed as to how it was all progressing and five weeks later the installer arrived. The work was carried out with no disruption or mess and completed within 4 hours. He then guided my Mother through the operating of the chair lift with incredible patience making sure that we all understood. This is a truly outstanding company with exceptional staff and a state of the art product.

I spoke to their salesperson through zoom and it struck me straight away that this company is for us as they were not trying to do the hard sell but allowed me to find what we needed through my questions and not the company pushing certain styles or brands. We were able to purchase a stairlift within our budget which we are very satisfied with. The engineer was on time and explained what he was doing and why. I was given instructions how to operate the lift and demonstrations. I contacted Kudos a few days after the installation to request the removal of a radiator and if they could move the stairlift over a few inches as I felt that the gap may be too narrow for my husband's leg after his surgery. The changes that I needed were carried out quickly and efficiently by Kudos. Throughout the process of requesting the stairlift and the installation, the Kudos staff, electrician, plumber and engineers have all been so kind and patient with me. Following my enquiry, they sent a surveyor to advise us on stairlifts in general. He discussed our requirements at length and we agreed on the make we felt was best for us. There was absolutely no pressure and a quotation was sent. After placing the order we had one or two phone calls and like the surveyor, everyone was helpful and charming. Delivery was quoted as 8/10 weeks but they did got it and fitted in 7 weeks. The same gentleman who came to survey also was responsible for the fitting. The installation was on a staircase with 3 u bends and took about 5 hours. We were then given tuition to make sure we were happy and able to understand the workings and safety procedures. The product Is fine and the service from Kudos in all respects was respectful, friendly and efficient. If you are in the market for this type of equipment don’t look any further!

After phoning to arrange a visit the lovely lady on reception made a suitable time to visit. The survey was made by John, who understood that due to my husband's health we were taking extra care as still shielding. He explained options and suggested a choice of 2 suitable lifts. No pressure to order the same day and no discounted sweeteners to hurry a same day order. When our decision was confirmed a few days later a date was agreed to install the following week. Troy arrived and after very careful and quick fitting and demo I was 'flying upstairs' wondering why I had not had one years before. We had 3 quotes, a well-known company had quoted £500-00 more but offered sweeteners if ordered on the day so did the other company we invited. Within the hour I had a telephone call from a lady who arranged a visit by their local area manager at 10.00 Tues 18th. John Parkhill (the area man) arrived on time and displayed his in depth knowledge of his products and regulations. Prior to his departure I ordered a reconditioned unit at a very favourable price. Arrangements were made to install the unit on Thurs. 20th May. On Thurs. two engineers (Troy and Aaron) arrived on time and had the unit operating approx. 4 hours later. Within a couple of days they came round to make an assessment and gave a very competitive quote for a Homeglide Extra stairlift made by Thyssenkrupp. We decided to go with this option, but the fitting of this was urgently required as my Mum had just come out of hospital and was really struggling with the stairs. We called James on Good Friday not really expecting anyone to be there, but someone answered and said James would ring us back. Sure enough we got a call that afternoon and arranged an installation for the following Friday. However, my Dad received a call on the Tuesday saying that they could actually fit it next day (Wednesday) which was amazing service - literally two working days after accepting the quote. The installation was smooth and efficient. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone - 100%.

We had an Access Flow 2 stairlift fitted by Kudos about eight weeks ago - ample time to judge its worth. it has been a real success, my disabled wife is delighted with it, and I am very impressed with its engineering. It has two motors: one to drive the rack and pinion movement, the second to manoeuvre the attitude of the chair to match our stair layout. Three members of Kudos staff were involved in the choice, measuring its positioning, and finally the fitting, and all were very knowledgable about their product and very easy to deal with. It begins in the middle of the hall, rises and turns through 180 degrees to move upstairs on the internal banister side of the stairs, turns through another 180 degrees at the top of the stairs and parks on the landing It is truly made to measure and to neatly suit our requirements. I am sorry to be so enthusiastic and glowing about this stairlift but it smart and looks so good that I have no qualms about recommending it. Excellent service from Kudos, and I have a stairlift clearly way ahead of its rivals and undoubtedly value for money.

When you think of stairlifts, there are two names that come to mind, and Kudos isn't one of them. Shame, because they are absolutely brilliant. I was getting nowhere with the national brand companies, and found Kudos through a Google search. I contacted them and a sales person visited, did a quick survey of the sites and the potential users, and recommended a particular (UK-made) model. We agreed a price. Shortly afterwards, a surveyor came and made really detailed and accurate measurements of the site, and users (weight and leg length come into it). This survey highlighted a problem with my leg length, and the firm suggested a modification to the spec, which we accepted. Kudos placed the order with Platinum Stairlifts, and 3 weeks later a fitter came from the factory and fitted the stairlift single handedly in 5 hours. The whole process took about 5 weeks, and has been smooth and trouble free. Everyone at Kudos and Platinum Stairlifts has been friendly, polite, helpful and very professional. I give them the highest possible ratings. But most importantly, the stairlift has revolutionised my wife's life. She no longer has to crawl up stairs on hands and knees, pausing for breath on the way. And she can take the laundry upstairs, too.

I was concerned that our staircase, with it's bottom stair protruding into the hallway, the kitchen doorway immediately to one side and the cloakroom door immediately on the other, was likely to present problems for a stair lift installation. The first two companies I contacted only confirmed my belief. Both of their solutions involved a folding rail at the bottom, with the chair parked part way up the stairs when not in use. In one solution the folding piece obscured the lower part of the banister rail when folded up. In the other, the folded rail had a protruding piece of metal that could injure the leg of an able-bodied person using the stairs. The parked chair also made it difficult for an able-bodied person to get by, especially when carrying anything. The third quote was from Kudos. The sales engineer explained that they could install a running rail that would land vertically beside the bottom stair without protruding into the hallway, whilst leaving enough clearance for the cloakroom door. I was dubious, and said I would only place an order if the surveying engineer confirmed the sales engineer's claims. The meticulous survey did indeed confirm the claims. My only concern then was that it would all fit as per the survey. I needn't have worried. The installation was carried out with millimetre precision, operates exactly as predicted, and with 3 parking places, top, bottom and 4 steps up, is convenient and easy to use. A first class result all round.

The Homeglide Extra Stairlift was fitted expertly by Homeglide apparently and is excellent. Kudos have a 'buy back' policy which according to their salesman is definitely applied when stairlift is less than twelve month old. I checked this with him at least 3 times at the point of sale, as to me it was a condition of the sale as my mother was already 97 years old. When the time came this year and we were still in warranty, we wanted the stairlift removed, they said they didn't want it back as they had enough of them and the written policy does state subject to market forces. So no £232.50 buy back. I offered it them for nothing as it looks brand new. No it is out of their area of service. If I paid them £70 they might consider calling Homeglide to collect it. They recommended ebay. I have contacted a number of stairlift companies since and all buy used stairlifts except the Homeglide Extra as they are difficult to service. So you judge for yourself. Be wary of their salesman's flim flam. All they are interested in is a sale and don't bother if you live north of Northampton. So a Homeglide Extra Stairlift bought for £2320 less than a year ago is gonna have to taken to the tip, just because Kudos won't take back or donate it to a nursing home or whatever. Shame on them and their salesman.

We have been very pleased with the whole process from start to finish. The whole team have been courteous, never pushy, answered very question and genuinely want to leave you with a product that works for you. Our staircase is very narrow. Other bigger companies said they could help and then said they couldn’t or they said they could help with the minimum of measuring. Kudos measured everything including my husband, which they made a special trip out to do. It was very comprehensive, allowing them to computerise it all so that they could guarantee that it would fit. We were told by another company that the lift we chose would be much more expensive than it really was. The fitting was done in about 6 hours by Peter, the same gentleman that had measured the stairs and my husband. He was thorough in getting it just right for us and thought about implications that we hadn’t. Work was completed in the time agreed within the price agreed. Overall, we feel we have an excellent product fitted by a team that cared about their work and their clients. On top of that, my husband is now able to access the upstairs with ease. Would thoroughly recommend Kudos.

From the first telephone inquiry on 19 may to fitting the stair lift on 12 June, I received advice and help and I appreciated the fast response to my queries from John Parkhill and also Neil. I should perhaps add that apart from the initial visit by john, everything was arranged by phone and email as i was in a care home. The fitting took place the day I returned home. David from brooks lifts was excellent, with his advice and was meticulous with his work. Everyone was helpful and polite. Kudos to john and kudos to kudos stair lifts. I understand that my first telephone inquiry on Sunday, 18 may was answered by the managing director who supplied the answers to my many questions and arranged the visit by the salesman the next day and gave me confidence to use this company!

My disabled client needed a stair-lift installed on the advice of her Occupational Therapist. I set out to get three quotes and Kudos Stair-lifts was the last company that quoted. I was immediately impressed with their representative who was clearly thinking 'out of the box'. He made the suggestion to me that we place the stair-lift on the inner side of the stairwell rather than the outer side which would give the carers enough room to walk up or down the stairs alongside our client. He also said that he could install one stair-lift over two floors (basement to first floor) with three 'stations' where the chair could stop whereas the other companies had indicated that this would require two separate stair-lifts and two chairs. This would have meant that we would have to get our client to transfer between the two chairs if she needed to go up or down both floors. Not only that, the actual chair is an excellent design as the arms cross slightly in front of the user for added safety. As our client suffers from epilepsy and can have a seizure at any time, this was an added bonus to the safety harness that is supplied by Kudos. I was extremely impressed with Kudos' work ethic from quote to finish. They followed up every step of the way, kept me fully informed of what would happen and when - and the actual installation was amazingly efficient and stress-free. A very professional company that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone needing a stair-lift.

I spent two days calling a lot of stairlift companies to get an emergency stairlift in for my sister in law. I cannot express my deep concern that so many of them come across like double glazing salesman with gleams in their eye and on the lookout for an elderly vulnerable person to hand over all their money. Kudos did NOT do this. They were brilliant. They were clear about their pricing, clear about the time for surveying and fitting and although they were not quite ready for the rental market went ahead with this for us. Sadly, the lady who this was for died on the morning that the stairlift was going to be fitted. I rang Kudos and they sorted it all out, removed the old stairlift and refunded me all the monies that I had paid the day before. Blooming Brilliant service. I will certainly recommend them to everyone Unlike the majority of the others who apart from coming across a little sharklike, were not actually that knowledgable. Thankyou Kudos, you are the best.

Excellent customer service from first point of contact. Initial survey arranged within a week and it was clearly explained to me that the surveyor who was coming was not a salesman but would be able to explain my options and leave me a quote. Surveyor was very professional and talked to me about my needs and physical limitations before leaving me with a clear quote. A couple of days later I received a courtesy call from Kudos asking if I was happy with the service I had received from the surveyor and whether I would like to proceed. At no point was there any pressure for a sale and when I said that I would like to proceed, the representative was careful to explain that I was welcome to take more time to make a decision. Once I decided to proceed, an appointment for a more detailed 3D survey of my stairs was arranged within a week and Peter who came to do the survey was very polite and professional. A week later I had a phone call from the Kudos office as the stairlift manufacturer had raised a concern with the side of the stairs we had planned to fit the stairlift to. She clearly explained the issue and offered to call back in a few days when she would have drawings for both options from the stairlift company and emailed them to me so we could discuss them. This enable me to make an informed decision and the stairlift was fitted around 6 weeks later. The installation was excellent and Peter ensured I was confident in its operation and left the house clean and tidy.

We placed two stair lift orders with Kudos, but unfortunately had to cancel on both occasions due to my fathers' deteriorating health. The Kudos survey engineer was highly professional, friendly and honest, leaving us to consider the available options without any hard sell. The staff at head office dealt with our difficult situation in a sympathetic and efficient manner. At the point of cancellation, we were refunded all costs very swiftly with no quibble whatsoever. I would highly recommend Kudos over the other "well known" brand names out there.

I would certainly recommend this company to anyone who wants a stairlift that meets all the criteria that you want. Being a curved staircase we were sceptical about whether it would fit, the salesman who came to see us assured us that they could fit any staircase. He gave us a couple of options to choose from and we went for the Flow2 as it was programmable to be able to cope with the tight turns. The price was very reasonable and we paid the 50% deposit, sat back and waited for the phone call to arrange fitting. Well today Troy the fitter arrived to install the stairlift, he could not have been more pleasant. After 4 hours he showed us how to operate it and said that if we had any issues he would come back to sort them out. I can’t praise this company for their exceptional customer service and friendly staff enough. From start to finish they have been a pleasure to deal with.

Got quotes for two different curved stairlifts that could meet our tight bends, with pros and cons of each clearly outlined. We had a disaster from another provider who blatantly lied and misled us. By chance we found Kudos and the difference was astonishing - I cannot recommend them highly enough! All the staff were polite, professional and kept in touch during and after installation. They met their promises and from start to finish we had the exact same lift installed in 2.5 weeks - this after my 91 year old father had been waiting for over 10 weeks with the previous supplier. Supplied and installed a stair lift at my mother's house. Installation was very thorough; the engineer spent four or five hours at the house making sure it was correctly adjusted for her, and then patiently showed her how to use it several times. The company has since made several courtesy calls to check if she was getting on with it.

We tried Stanna and Age Concern. They came to view the situation and said it was impossible to have a stair lift fitted. We live in a house built c1800 with very narrow stairs. A friend recommended Kudos Mobility Group, a client focus team member came within 2 days and we were fitted with the stair lift about 10 days later, after settling for a reconditioned one. At least this is going to keep us in our home here.

After dealing with Kudos for a few years on behalf of my mother, who has dementia, I have nothing but praise for this exceptional company. They took over maintaining our Stannah Stairlift when I became disillusioned with Stannah's impersonal and to my mind excessively priced maintenance contract. From reception staff through to installation technicians they have shown a level of professionalism combined with thoughtfulness and personal attention that these days is hard to find. They have now done everything from repairing a broken footrest to installing a completely new stairlift, together with quickly answering calls for advice. I live 200 miles away from my mother, and it is great to know that such caring and reliable help can be with her very quickly, whilst keeping me informed as to what's happening. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them wholeheartedly.

My stair lift broke so I checked the internet and seeing Which Trusted trader, chose Kudos. Within 3 an excellent engineer (Troy) arrived but sadly could not repair. He gave suggestions on new and Reconditioned models and in case I later wanted to proceed took necessary measurements and obtained a quote from his office. I was under no pressure to purchase but decided a couple of days later to go ahead with a new lift. KUDOS immediately went into action and within 3 days it was installed. I am 85 years of age, disabled and deaf. Kudos service was exemplary and I would recommend them 100%.

After contracting Kudos, they arrived promptly and surveyed the requirement for the stair lift, which maneuverer seven bends, made accurate measurements and delivered and fitter the lift in one day without any problems by one man.
