Laidlaw Electrical Ltd was established in May 2001 and is looking forward to being in business for many years to come. We specialise in domestic and LIGHT COMMERCIAL electrical work. Residential and Commercial Maintenance.’We are local, efficient and pride ourselves on getting the job done on time’.
We are an approved contractor of the National Inspection Council of Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) which means we are part P compliant,We can also issue building control certificates where these are required by law. (this is law since January 2005).
All work conforms to the current edition of the IEE wiring regulations and codes of practice and all accessories will comply with the relevant British Standards. Quality workmanship and Customer Service go hand in hand.. We are proud of our record of delivering high quality customer service.

As a disabled person who lives alone, he is considerate and professional in his work ethic and performance in the home. Renew Lighting under Kitchen Cupboards

Grant replaced the old florescent lighting under my kitchen cupboards with LED tape which is much brighter. He arrived on time, had a friendly manner, did the job efficiently and cleared up afterwards leaving the kitchen spotless. Everything was done according to his quote and I would certainly have him again to do any electrical work.

Grant came in this week to fix 2 x external lights, and some internal wiring. I was happy with what he did. I work for a small charity, and Grant has been our electrician for a number of years. He is very knowledgeable, and has always given us quality work and service. I'd recommend him to anyone wanting a good, reliable electrician who knows his business.

I had some new sockets installed by Grant and I was very happy with the work. Everything from initial contact, through Grant visiting to assess for a quote and then the work being done was really positive - he turned up when he said he would, everything was done really efficiently and tidily, and the price quoted was very reasonable. Laidlaw Electrical would be the first company I would call if I needed any electrical work done in the future.

We are delighted with the work Grant has done. He is extremely reliable and efficient in all that he does and takes real pride in ensuring the job is done well. He communicates brilliantly explaining everything clearly. He split some circuits, installed some new sockets/lights, fitted a new consumer unit and simplified and ordered the cabling in our basement. He thinks about usability and practicality when he is working. Certification documents were sent over immediately after the work was completed and we would not hesitate to recommend him. We have used different electricians in the past but in the end, employing Grant to do the job properly the first time is much better!

Having called upon Laidlaw Electrical before to do a full electrical check of my house, it was a no-brainier that I’d call upon their services again. As expected, Grant turned up on the day we’d agreed 3 weeks earlier. The quality of his work was excellent, and he was done and dusted in 6 hours. Grant recently carried out a substantial piece of electrical work at our property and we would thoroughly recommend him.
