Arrived to start job on time, took all covid precautions. I had internal plaster hacked off from bay and downstairs bathroom. They cleaned as they went along keeping mess to a minimum. Damp treated re plastered, 6 exterior air vents fitted. All rubbish taken away, even replaced bay skirting board. Very happy with service from the office to job completion.

This is the third time I've used them and I've found them to be efficient at attending to quote in the first instance and then reliable to turn up to carry out the actual work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and find there's no reason to shop around any more.

Call them in due to black mold on some walls, thinking that we would maybe need extensive work and that the pound signs were mounting up. But the surveyor diagnosed a ventilation issue, and we've now got a unit to help with airflow. This was obviously cheaper than we expected, and we're happy with the solution. Most importantly, they didn't try to charge us for work we don't need. Appointments were kept on time (or even early). Staff were professional and courteous. Installers cleaned up after themselves so well that you'd never realise they had been there. And, in these strange times, when they came into the house they were covid safe, wearing masks, keeping distance and generally taking care. Recommended!

The Surveyor confirmed that the cause of the problem was not damp, but a lack of ventilation to the units. He suggested installing a suitable ventilation device to the outside to cure the problem. The visit/advice was free of charge and was delivered in a courteous and professional manner. I would highly recommend this company for anybody requiring damp investigation.

Office staff were polite and helpful but I had to follow up most of my emails with phone calls to get responses, including confirmation of work dates. I accept that 2020 hasn't been an easy year but good customer service is important to me. I was impressed by the contractors carrying out the work who were prompt, seemed well informed and happy to explain things as the work progressed. A chemical damp-proof and membrane were recommended and quoted for but when the contractors stripped the plaster they said the CDP was inappropriate due to the old stone work (this was visible at time of the survey via the meter cupboard). I received a reduction in price but was told the CDP was just a 'belt & braces' for all quotes and that the membrane would suffice. I remain uncertain as to whether I have done the right thing to resolve the damp problem and whether I would recommend/repurchase from this company unless it was for a standard brick-built house.

I chose this company as a friend recently had similar work done & was very pleased with the result. Lee came to give us a quote & clearly explained all the options before the work started. It was reassuring to know that we could have the work done in stages of we’d wanted. We had the front room, hallway & dining room damp-proofed. The workmen arrived on time & took just under 5 days to remove plaster, membrane & replanted. They also replaced skirting boards & some of the electrical sockets. The workmen were very tidy & we are really pleased with the high quality workmanship. Work guaranteed for 10 years too so there is added peace of mind. Would highly recommend.

We used Lancashire Damp Proofing to address some damp issues we had been experiencing for a while. Other damp proofers had dismissed the patches as condensation or a badly-sealed window, but remedial actions did nothing to change it. LDP sent a surveyor round promptly and he quickly diagnosed rising damp and incursion due to faulty cavity wall insulation. The workmen arrived promptly on the arranged day. They were courteous, efficient and did the work with minimal disruption. The replastering is like silk - such a super-smooth job! And the ten year guarantee gives us peace of mind that the work is a good investment. I now have fewer worries about damp (living in a very wet area of the country!) because I know there are reliable people who can sort it out.

Contacted Lancashire Dampproofing Ltd in December after reading lots of reviews. They came on time and did the damp survey contacting my tenants when needed. I booked them for January they came on time with all the stuff to keep house clean, job was done in the time they said and for myself hassle free. My tenants said they where very professional from start to finish I could possibly have got cheaper but more than happy with work completed and glad to highly recommend. I will use again if needed.

From the first visit to completion their work has been professional and courteous at all times. The work was completed within the time set and to a good standard. The quote was very reasonable considering others received and no unnecessary work was recommended, also no surprises at the end. Would definitely recommend Lancashire damp proofing!

I had a lot of water coming through the walls of my underground garages and utility room. I used Trusted Trader to look for a company in my area and have not been disappointed with Lancashire Damp Proofing Ltd. Their surveyor (Lee) arrived as agreed to carry out a survey and he offered advice on the different methods of tackling the problem. The advice was impartial, even giving me a low cost option by treating the problem myself which would not have provided any business for Lancashire Damp Proofing. I opted for 'tanking' the exterior walls and the work was carried out on the dates and times agreed. They were very professional and could not do enough to help. Their work was to an extremely high standard and they cleaned up after they had finished. Lee carried out a final inspection following completion. The work carried out was extensive and I was amazed at how well they tackled the problem with minimal disruption to the surrounding brickwork. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Lancashire Damp Proofing to anyone with similar problems.

I had a number of issues with damp thru the house and contacted Lancashire Damp Proofing in August'18. Their quote was both reasonable and honest. I decided to have the work done in January'19, just within their original 6-month qualification. No additional survey was required and they worked round my schedule at very short notice. The works completed were timely, neat and very professional. The two Guys who completed the work were extremely polite and cleaned-up daily. I have had Lancashire Damp do a few jobs for me as my property has needed major damp work carrying out from rising damp, cavity wall extraction and wet rot. As advised by a damp and timber surveyor, we had to have badly installed cavity wall insulation removed which had been installed when the previous owners lived in our home, due to damp and mould on the interior walls. A surveyor from Lancashire Damp arrived on time to give us a quote which was comparable to other quotes we had received. We chose Lancashire Damp because the surveyor did not try to push any other services on us as had other companies including more cavity wall insulation! On the day the work was carried out the workmen arrived on time if not slightly early and completed the work satisfactorily. They were also polite and friendly and explained what was happening as they worked. Within days of the work being carried out the walls are now damp free. Money well spent.
