I was very impressed with the whole experience. Punctuality was excellent and although it was a difficult job they worked incredibly hard to get the job done on time and correctly.Each day all areas were left tidy with all refuse removed. Not only that when I asked a question to Kev the work was explained to me so I gained an understanding of the whole process and what was coming next. After completing the job the whole area was hoovered and wiped down. Wonderful!!! I couldn't be more impressed and would definitely recommend them to others and obviously would use them again myself.

Surveyor was punctual and the damp report was clear to understand. When the workmen arrived to do the work, they assessed that the damp wasn't as extensive as stated in the report. Subsequently the work was scaled back with a commensurate reduction in the bill, which was welcome but also shows the honesty of the company. The workmen were friendly, polite and efficient. Always impressive to watch a skilled plasterer do his 'thing'. After the work was completed, they left the area clean and tidy. I'm very satisfied with the standard of the work and would use this company again if required. I would highly recommend this company.

Estimation and scheduling of the bedroom wall damp-proofing work was seamless and the workmen turned up on time on the scheduled days. The work was completed within the allocated timeframe of two days and the quality of the finished product (plaster removal, brick treatment, plaster boarding and replastering) was first class. The workmen were friendly and professional and made every effort to minimise and contain debris & dust (providing floor coverings etc.) All debris was bagged up continuously throughout the process and collected for disposal on completion of the job. We were extremely happy with all outcomes.

This was always going to be a big job, but unexpected complications and discoveries as the work went along meant that the whole thing took longer than any of us had bargained for. The original brief was to strip out the wooden floors on the ground floor of a medium-sized detached house, and replace joists and boards; strip walls where damp was detected, fix membrane, plaster-board and skim; spray all floor and loft cavities; suck out old cavity wall insulation. Along the way, there were extras which were added by us (more expensive skirting boards and architraves; removal of two fire surrounds being the principal ones). Also there were many changes when problems were discovered - mainly damp extending further than had initially been thought - and which were more easily dealt with as part of the whole job than done piecemeal later on. It was completely understandable that this affected the overall timetable, but we were generally kept informed of what work would be happening and when - living 200 miles from the site had its own challenges for us. The quality of the work was excellent, especially the most visible aspect of the plastering, which ended up taking in some curved surfaces, blending them in well with the existing wall/ceiling, and the overall result was more than we could have hoped for. The workmen were cheerful and approachable, and took on the extras with good humour. And Lee (the boss) was contactable, and kept everything on an even keel.

Lancashire Dampproofing Ltd inserted dampproofing into a loft wall to prevent damp penetration and replastered after. The original contact and survey was dealt with efficiently and the survey cost was very reasonable in comparison to others. I received a speedy quote which deducted survey costs if I went ahead with the work which I did. The original date of the work had to be changed last minute due to sickness so we did have to arrange another date. The men arrived on time, were polite, efficient and amazingly clean and tidy. I expected a lot more mess. Also the first time I’ve had work people in and they politely declined a brew! They worked through and finished mid afternoon which was great. We haven’t had a big downpour yet to really test the work but happy with the 10 year guarantee to reassure.

After initial problems where the previous office manager hadn’t booked my job and having to wait a further 6 weeks, the work was completed on schedule this week. The team who attended were prompt, courteous and the job was finished within timescales and with very little mess. I would recommend to others.

I would not hesitate to use this company again. I had to wait a few weeks for a quote (probably due to high demand), but I'm glad I did. I had two other quotes, but Lancashire Damp Proofing recommended more work than either of them and charged significantly less as well as completing the work in a much shorter time frame. All staff were extremely polite, friendly, efficient and hardworking. Also the tidiest workmen I have ever had. I have full confidence in the recommendations made, which I did not have in the other companies who quoted. Very much feel that this company is experienced, knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. This is the second time we have used this company. The owner came to evaluate the work and discussed with us the options and later that day we received the quotation. We gave the go ahead and agreed a date for the work to be completed. Prior to the work commencing after stripping off some wallpaper we found we could do with some extra plastering. Lee, the boss was very helpful and agreed that the extra work could be done but it may need an extra visit to complete the work. The two chaps came and started the work. They were very friendly and their work was first class. In all the work was done over three days. Each day they left the work site clean and tidy. On the final day they explained everything they had done and how long we needed to allow the plaster to dry before decorating. This company is a pleasure to work with and I can highly recommend them to anyone who needs damp work undertaking in their properties.

I had Lancashire Damp do a few jobs as my property needed major damp work carrying out from rising damp, cavity wall extraction. They showed up on time, are efficient, reliable and professional. I have used Lancashire Damp on two occasions this year and on both occasions I was impressed by their professionalism. From the initial quotes and advice given by Lee to the great team of lads especially Jamie and Craig who were kind and courteous at all times as were the girls I dealt with in the office. They were all sympathetic to the trauma having this kind of work carried out can cause. The team arrived on time each of the three days of both jobs and worked hard finishing well within the time scales given. Their work was clean and tidy and with the minimum disruption. Arrived to start job on time, took all covid precautions. I had internal plaster hacked off from bay and downstairs bathroom. They cleaned as they went along keeping mess to a minimum. Damp treated re plastered, 6 exterior air vents fitted. All rubbish taken away, even replaced bay skirting board. Very happy with service from the office to job completion.

This is the third time I've used them and I've found them to be efficient at attending to quote in the first instance and then reliable to turn up to carry out the actual work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and find there's no reason to shop around any more.

Call them in due to black mold on some walls, thinking that we would maybe need extensive work and that the pound signs were mounting up. But the surveyor diagnosed a ventilation issue, and we've now got a unit to help with airflow. This was obviously cheaper than we expected, and we're happy with the solution. Most importantly, they didn't try to charge us for work we don't need. Appointments were kept on time (or even early). Staff were professional and courteous. Installers cleaned up after themselves so well that you'd never realise they had been there. And, in these strange times, when they came into the house they were covid safe, wearing masks, keeping distance and generally taking care. Recommended!

The Surveyor confirmed that the cause of the problem was not damp, but a lack of ventilation to the units. He suggested installing a suitable ventilation device to the outside to cure the problem. The visit/advice was free of charge and was delivered in a courteous and professional manner. I would highly recommend this company for anybody requiring damp investigation.

Office staff were polite and helpful but I had to follow up most of my emails with phone calls to get responses, including confirmation of work dates. I accept that 2020 hasn't been an easy year but good customer service is important to me. I was impressed by the contractors carrying out the work who were prompt, seemed well informed and happy to explain things as the work progressed. A chemical damp-proof and membrane were recommended and quoted for but when the contractors stripped the plaster they said the CDP was inappropriate due to the old stone work (this was visible at time of the survey via the meter cupboard). I received a reduction in price but was told the CDP was just a 'belt & braces' for all quotes and that the membrane would suffice. I remain uncertain as to whether I have done the right thing to resolve the damp problem and whether I would recommend/repurchase from this company unless it was for a standard brick-built house.

I chose this company as a friend recently had similar work done & was very pleased with the result. Lee came to give us a quote & clearly explained all the options before the work started. It was reassuring to know that we could have the work done in stages of we’d wanted. We had the front room, hallway & dining room damp-proofed. The workmen arrived on time & took just under 5 days to remove plaster, membrane & replanted. They also replaced skirting boards & some of the electrical sockets. The workmen were very tidy & we are really pleased with the high quality workmanship. Work guaranteed for 10 years too so there is added peace of mind. Would highly recommend.

We used Lancashire Damp Proofing to address some damp issues we had been experiencing for a while. Other damp proofers had dismissed the patches as condensation or a badly-sealed window, but remedial actions did nothing to change it. LDP sent a surveyor round promptly and he quickly diagnosed rising damp and incursion due to faulty cavity wall insulation. The workmen arrived promptly on the arranged day. They were courteous, efficient and did the work with minimal disruption. The replastering is like silk - such a super-smooth job! And the ten year guarantee gives us peace of mind that the work is a good investment. I now have fewer worries about damp (living in a very wet area of the country!) because I know there are reliable people who can sort it out.

Contacted Lancashire Dampproofing Ltd in December after reading lots of reviews. They came on time and did the damp survey contacting my tenants when needed. I booked them for January they came on time with all the stuff to keep house clean, job was done in the time they said and for myself hassle free. My tenants said they where very professional from start to finish I could possibly have got cheaper but more than happy with work completed and glad to highly recommend. I will use again if needed.

From the first visit to completion their work has been professional and courteous at all times. The work was completed within the time set and to a good standard. I used Trusted Trader to look for a company in my area and have not been disappointed with Lancashire Damp Proofing Ltd. Their surveyor (Lee) arrived as agreed to carry out a survey and he offered advice on the different methods of tackling the problem. The advice was impartial, even giving me a low cost option by treating the problem myself which would not have provided any business for Lancashire Damp Proofing. I opted for 'tanking' the exterior walls and the work was carried out on the dates and times agreed. They were very professional and could not do enough to help. Their work was to an extremely high standard and they cleaned up after they had finished. Lee carried out a final inspection following completion. The work carried out was extensive and I was amazed at how well they tackled the problem with minimal disruption to the surrounding brickwork. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Lancashire Damp Proofing to anyone with similar problems.

I had a number of issues with damp thru the house and contacted Lancashire Damp Proofing in August'18. Their quote was both reasonable and honest. I decided to have the work done in January'19, just within their original 6-month qualification. No additional survey was required and they worked round my schedule at very short notice. As advised by a damp and timber surveyor, we had to have badly installed cavity wall insulation removed which had been installed when the previous owners lived in our home, due to damp and mould on the interior walls. A surveyor from Lancashire Damp arrived on time to give us a quote which was comparable to other quotes we had received. We chose Lancashire Damp because the surveyor did not try to push any other services on us as had other companies including more cavity wall insulation! On the day the work was carried out the workmen arrived on time if not slightly early and completed the work satisfactorily. They were also polite and friendly and explained what was happening as they worked. Within days of the work being carried out the walls are now damp free. Money well spent. We would highly recommend Lancashire Damp.

Requested a survey on mould, he came on time and he was very polite and professional. Although I do not need any work doing he gave me some great tips on how to rectify my problem. He could have easily said I need work doing. If I ever need work doing I would not hesitate to contact him.

The property was badly affected by damp and I knew that in advance of Lee's inspection.Lee came round the following day to survey and produced a comprehensive remedial plan and diagram. The work involved the removal and replacement of existing floor, joists and skirting, removal of old plaster, installation of plastic membrane, installation of chemical damp proof course, boarding and skimming to most of the ground floor. The price was very fair for the vast amount of work that needed doing. The quality of the overall work was excellent and the plastering is the best I have seen. The guys are all friendly and very approachable.

A survey was arranged very quickly and a report provided by email later the same day. Very helpful and all questions answered satisfactorily. Job scheduled within a week of accepting quote. We were told the Contractors would arrive at 9am on the day, we called at 10 to ask where they were as they hadn't arrived and hadn't called us. They arrived at 10;15 and seemed a bit annoyed that we'd called the office as they said "we've come all the way form Blackpool you know". We said we'd only called because we were told to expect them at 9am! Other than that they were polite and helpful, and cleared up as they went, leaving the room neat and tidy. The plastering work was amazing, such a smooth finish. Overall, we were very satisfied with the standard of work and the speed from initial enquiry to having the work completed and would recommend this company.

Emailed enquiry received phone call some morning, appointment made, Lee arrived exactly on time, quickly established the cause of my damp walls & the work required to fix the problem. Happy with price so booked in, tradesmen arrived, again on time, carried out the work in a friendly, cheerful manner (in tropical conditions!) They were very knowledgeable & courteous, removed plaster from walls, installed damp proof course, replastered, replaced skirtings & covings where necessary, took away all rubbish & left it clean & tidy. Very easy to arrange the free damp survey for my home. The surveyor was professional, knowledgeable and took the time to explain to me the problem and how it would be resolved. Survey report was received within a day or two and was very clear and informative. Easy to arrange for the work to be carried out although, being so busy they could only fit me in two months later. This company is definitely impressive in deliverying a quality service and so professionally that I had to leave a review. Work done, four damp / condensation patches inside sorted and cavity wall insulation and debris cleaned / removed. The team of guys were amazing, a couple of issues missed on the quote (and not spotted by me) were immediately sorted, with not a single comment of it being an issue. They just sorted it. Great customer service all round, turned up when they said they would, from initial quote visit to booked works. All delivered very clean and tidy, you wouldn’t know they’d been (other than the new plaster) Work quality is second to none and ready for me to decorate quickly, not even being able to see where the work joins after decorating, perfect plaster work. Arranged to call round to give estimate, and arrived, and on time. Not everyone arrives when arranged to do so. Remedial works could be completed in a convenient time frame, costs were comparative with other quotes but there was something more reassuring for me from Lee. The workers who did the work were a very happy pair and got the job done as scheduled. I would recommend them.

After checking interior & exterior walls Lee confirmed it wasn't damp, merely condensation, and advised how I could sort it out myself. That's it. I called this company for advice on house damp patches. They were extremely helpful and arranged a surveyor to come visit within 48 hours. When Lee visited he checked for damp and offered great advice even though no damp detected as it was condensation issue

I thought I had a serious damp problem in my kitchen as I get slugs and a corner of the wall is black. Requested an estimate and Lee arrived on time. After spending a good 20 minutes examining the interior and exterior walls he said I didn't have a damp problem at all. It was merely condensation and an unsealed waste pipe. He advised on how to rectify the problem and that was it! He could have charged me a fortune on unnecessary work but he didn't. How refreshing. Lee explained everything well on the consultation. Date was arranged for job to be carried out. Arrived on time but had to curtial job due to bad weather. Came back on time on re-arranged date and carried on progress to complete the job. Carried out job to a good standard and cleaned up and took all rubbish away. Lets hope it fixes our problem.

We recently had Lancashire damp proofing carry out work in the bedrooms and kitchen also replacing the old kitchen ceiling. Whilst the work carried out in the bedrooms was stright forward the kitchen had unexpected problems when the old ceiling was removed required extensive plastering. We had just moved into the property and were on a tight timescale to have a new kitchen fitted, the company and the lads on the Job worked very hard to ensure the job was completed in time, they were also very tidy and cleaned up. Would definitely recommend.
